I played Diablo 2 for 8 years straight so I doubt I'll have any problems getting burnt out. Plus if things keep going the way they are now I'll hopefully be retired by then and will have plenty of time to go through them.

There are 3 sept-terrions left in the story and it takes an average of 2.25 Trails games to deal with a sept-terrion so there should be 7 more games.

I played TiTS FC in April 2011 when it came out on PSP. Then SC in 2015 when it came out. Over 4 fucking years later. I'd forgotten damn near everything from the original, including how god awful the menus were. Not exactly a great way to play through a series either.

The main plot of each arc is basically self-contained and doesn't have any overlap until CS3 and 4, which basically concludes everything that's happened up until that point. Sky is just a shitty otome love story that ends with the evil organization actually having a plan that extends into the other games as well.

AO is very good, but it also was the point of inflection, with Lloyd being a Rean-lite.

You must've played on easy/normal, because the enforcers in SC tend to start off with S-Crafts that kill your entire or most of your party in one turn. Loewe will also fuck your shit up in general if you don't abuse Grail Sphere.

Genius girl who is loved by everyone. Very hard worker but also clumsy because she needs a cute attribute, not clumsy because it's an actual flaw. Towa is so amazing at being student council president that she is invited to an incredibly important international summit where the leaders of nations convene for the sake of diplomacy. She then does such a good job being a scribe that every single leader immediately loved her and wanted her to come with them.

Later on, Towa is given leadership of an aerial vessel, as the grizzled, experienced, veteran commander of the ship realizes that the juvenile with no war experience who has never once captained a ship would make a superior leader for the wartime operations (and was later proven right, because Towa is good at literally everything). Towa is so amazing that reality itself feels pity for anywhere that doesn't have Towa, so it finds a way to put Towa in other dimensions and different continuities. In addition to her overwhelming charisma and ability to do anything perfectly the moment it's assigned to her, Towa also has her own unique in-game mechanic centered entirely around her that no other character shares. Very top grade writing.

The IV DLC costumes are basically all out-of-place slutwear for waifufags. III has some decent casual clothes DLC. There are also some in-game outfits for Rean and his students. Old VII doesn't really get anything in-game because they're more like fancy guests for most of it.
That's only 'if' that's their goal. GM's comments at the end of IV indicate she's concerned about something the series' party characters aren't aware of at all.

New VII has a more cohesive and properly developed party dynamic that works better than the old one's weird 'we're all friends, apparently' thing. As for old VII's role, basically each chapter has some of them show up to do some stuff with Rean and drop exposition, but they're not the stars since they all have their own careers. Late in the game you'll get to use everyone at once for some stuff. In IV you get both groups for most of the game, but after act I that game runs into the problem of too many people being present and only a handful of them having distinct enough voices to notice in the cutscenes.

If we're getting into models, none of the characters, male or female, actually have nice asses. The boys are too flat and the girls are the wrong kind of pear shaped. SC has long been regarded highly because of a number of things it does fairly well, but there's no getting around the fact that it has the least interesting padding in the series. They got a little better about justifying it in later games, but if that kind of thing isn't fun for you it's probably best to stop.

They bring them out in CS3 and CS4. They don't match up to Divine Knights whatsoever.

A more apt comparison would be something like Grandia or FFT.

But it isn't just Falcom that does this. For some reason Japanese writers love shoe horning everything at the very end so they can have big twists. The problem is it makes the rest of the game feel like filler and not matter in the grand scheme of things.

The last 2 chapters of SC are really really good. Honestly though the first 4 chapters are exactly the same. You go to a town, Ouroboros is performing tests, you track them down and fight them and they fuck off without getting serious. I dunno why they thought this was accetapble as a form of story telling

I can't think of a single psx game that looked anywhere near as good as FC. The only way I can see someone legitimately think this is if they never played a game on an actual playstation and has only ever done upscaled emulation.

This was why I liked FC overall. SC has the strong story beats it delivers after lots of buildup, but the initial ouroboros wack-a-mole plot is very weak.

You guys can't honestly expect that the Divine Knights are completely gone after CS4 right. They are written out at the moment but when Ouroboros starts letting out their Aions which might as well just be Divine Knights at this point they will come back. They won't miss the chance for more mecha fights

Osborne is arguably the best villain in Trails, for whatever that's worth. Whether the payoff is good will be opinions, but we'll have a clearer picture when more people have played it instead of memeing about a Chinese guy's stream they didn't understand.
