I read NHK easy regularly but any attempt to play a game in Japanese just hurts my brain. I should probably get on it but instead I'm just grind out 暗記 currently at 2900 cards left in the core 6k deck.

I never really learned how to learn so I don't know how flashcards work. Do I just read them, say what I think they mean then flip it over for the answer?
