I literally don't know a single person like this. Anyone who does this is a complete melt.

Only zoomers are like this

Nobody on this board is like this

Attached: 1555184829953.jpg (308x308, 26K)

The same reason capeshit movies and BotW are popular: Marketing hype.

Attached: 1547329580544.jpg (999x583, 90K)

most people here are like that
any time you see someone post a picture of their pc, it's a huge lightshow

This.
No, not even zoomers are like this. They'd definitely go for muh latest RTX meme, but not if even they are dumb enough to care about RGB

>any time you see someone post a picture of their pc, it's a huge lightshow
Which in no way means that they sacrificed any of the actually important parts in order to obtain those, you absolute neanderthal

The people who are enjoying smash are too busy playing it to shitpost about it.

Those threads are FOR those people. If all the rest of us posted our pc's it would be a thread full of "whoa nice black nondescript case dude! looks just like the 14 others before you!"

A lightshow with no storage, ram, or GPU? Where are you seeing these ultra-barebones PCs and how are these guys getting them to even power on?

People who crave attention and post pics of their pcs are also the sorts of people who put lights on their pcs to draw attention

Modern PC cases are the most gaudy soulless things imaginable. The 90s beige look is pure soul.

paint the sonyfag black and then it will be accurate

LED SUCKS

my friend does this. his computer is mediocre at best and he goes crazy with the RGB fan, peripherals, etc.

Nobody is like this, except very poor PC gamers that only play Dota 2 and maybe csgo anyway. Most of the RGB stuff comes with more "premium" components, with exception of very cheap cases and coolers

storage RAM and GPU all have RGB whether you want it or not at this point

why is he still your friend?

I have a GTX 1070, i7-6700K, and a 1440p 144hz monitor. What should I upgrade to? Pic unrelated

Attached: 1453860449764.jpg (500x500, 126K)

I have never purposefully put RGB lighting inside any PC that I have built, aside from ones that came built into the case. That includes PCs I've built for other people.

Also, liquid cooling is a meme that offers nothing other than a noise reduction. 99% of people will never need it.

Nothing, unless your pc is dying, you don't need to.

I'd like to upgrade to something a bit more powerful. Some games don't even run at 60fps 1440p at max settings.

Turn some meme settings that don't do anything visible down then.

That ain't your PC's fault but those games just being optimized like shit. Ask for a refund.

my cousin think the PC i built for him was shit, so he spent $600 to get a new curve screen monitor and gaming keyboard and gaming mouse.

nibba, now you made this post op. he could have brought a new GPU with that money. fucking idoit

But you're already good.

say what you want about the flood of wojaks but whoever made the s)(y one actually nailed the facial features it's kind of creepy

Isn't the 1080Ti outdated? What would be the current equivalent?

Hey so i'm kind of in need of an upgrade, my card used to be the strongest in the game but now it's like 5 or so years old.
i've got a 780TI and i'm wondering if or what i should upgrade to, it still seems to hold up pretty well all things considered.

Its not because Nvidia jewed the fuck out everyone.
RTX 2080 = GTX 1080Ti but its $300-400 more expensive for the same performance.

wait a few years for the next generation of consoles to come out so you can buy parts that are definitely better than them.

Pretty much this. My CPU cooler and RAM just came with RGB shit on it. It can look pretty but mainly I like how my i7-9700K stays at like 30C at all times.

Attached: 1557345775021.jpg (400x300, 58K)

Don't think about upgrading, you're set for the next 5 years.

I hope you’re joking. 1070 is fine for 1440p and you can hit 144fps in any game that isn’t an unoptimized shitshow by putting the settings on “high” instead of “super ultra maximum meme”

Missing a SSD.
Could get a new cheap GPU and destroy it performance wise.

7/10, old but still useful.

So the only reason Sony exists?
Because nobody likes any of their "games" ion its own merits

There's nothing wrong with RGB as long as you only use one color at a time. Prove me wrong, I fucking dare you.

Garbage meme 80 bucks for a couple gigs and seconds faster loading time? sounds worth it!!
I've thought about getting a new GPU just not sure which one, alot of them still compare to the 780 ti.

>Garbage meme 80 bucks for a couple gigs and seconds faster loading time? sounds worth it!!
You should probably think about a console instead

>80 for couple of gigs
Try 1TB.
SU800 was $81 yesterday and its still $100 for 1TB.

There are already USB cables that light up, so they likely already exist.

>IMPROVED AIRFLOW
>IMPROVED VENTILATION

How much did that actually impact performance for that generation of consoles beyond the original run of 360s?

I'll be honest i haven't really looked at prices of anything in a long time, i've basically just used this same machine the entire time, Though even if 1 TB isn't bad I still don't see the extra cost worth it for a couple seconds of load time.

You can get affordable SSD 120gb like the ADATA ones for half that price and that's all you realistically need for your OS. It makes the experience much nicer when there's basically no loading times when booting up or opening up apps.

make the snoy black and make him talk in ebonics, and then it's accurate

I'm not super adhd so I can wait the couple of extra seconds for it to boot up, it isn't a long time at all.

Those few seconds add up over the years. Or if you happen to play Monster Hunter World those minutes add up over time.

youtube.com/watch?v=HDq56GF-i_A

An Led light strip is literally like 2$ a foot, it's cool unless you're boring, using it professionally or don't have glass side pannels. I'm sure when consoles get water cooling and RGB it will be all the craze like SSDs suddenly are again

I bought a new motherboard a few months ago, and even it had some fucking LEDs on it.

the only way i know my pc is running is if i touch it (yeah i didn't connect the motherboard's HDD and PWR lights)
i hate lights

i'm gonna play games and shitpost
rgb lights are for electric scooters and bike fags

Unless you are playing shit like MHW, Fallout, etc.
It turns 1-2 minutes into 10-30 seconds.

I don't play that game, bought it hated it and never played it again.
I'm not so it still doesn't apply

>5 year old

You can still upgrade to Window 10 pro for free. You can also change to Enterprise for free as well for people that autistic about updates.

Man I just wanna be cyberpunk. Leave me alone.

I have your same setup except with a GTX 1080 and I wouldn't dream of upgrading until RTX 30xx or maybe whatever meme shit AMD rolls out.

3 seconds per loading screen times, let's be generous here and say 20 a day. That's 6 hours of staring at a loading screen every year.

My motherboard has a fucking infinity mirror with LEDs in it. It just happened to be one of the best Z390 boards for the price range I was shooting for.

It's not always vanity tho it certainly is sometimes. Occasionally a console baby says I'm lying about my specs (why would I lie? I don't know) and I gotta post a picture with a middle finger and my PC is all gawdy because I love trill shit and I would never seek someone's appeal for something I made to appeal to me

Why are you faggots trying to shill me shit in this thread? I don't give a fuck about windows 10 redditor.
I don't play video games enough for that to be an impact anymore and even if I did, I don't care.

>W7 is a downside

Fuck off, Windows 10 is for shitters

>upgrade

That's why I said 20 loading screens, you fucking retard. I am taking your normalfaggotry into consideration. Even more of a reason to save 6 hours of your life per year so you can go get shitfaced and bang 3DPD.

6 hours in a year is nothing autist, you're wasting less time than that here and i'm more upset about that.

you're set for a decade and a half, literally no need to upgrade

Mine just has a small strip of white LEDs along the I/O, but it's still odd to me.

Just let it be. If the guy doesn't want an SSD don't tell him to get an SSD.

>get a top end motherboard
>it comes with rgb lights
>no options exist without them
>some idiot on Yea Forums complains it's for attention or at the cost of performance
Listen you fucking niglet, if I could, I would pay less to gain more, but they all saturate them with leds and shitty malformed fucking heatsinks that do more harm than good.

Do you mean like AIOs or custom because while if you're gonna spend the extra 400-500 on a hard line GPU and CPU set up you most certainly better be overclocking it. I use AIOs because the only air coolers that beat a 240rad with good fans are pretty big and I don't wanna look for it, neither are really any louder than the other, AIOs are mostly a scam but so are 100$ heat sinks unless you are OCing

How does this work

It's literally a more stable OS than 7
>inb4 spyware
1. Use a locked down linux kernel if you're being a terrorist and 2. It's really more stable I honestly only see the "_____ is not responding" is when I'm being an asshole or playing 2007 shit, I remember back on Win 7 everything from word to control panel locked up occasionally. Windows 10 is literally windows 7 they even both have the same control panel. I don't blame you for sticking with 7 but as it's days are limited unless you plan to pay out the ass I would bite the bullet and get a new SSD and Windows 10 it'll feel so clean all you have to do is unpin the live tiles from start and mess with taskbar settings and you'll feel right at home. And yes you can disable Cortana then its just a normal windows search

It's a liquild with very low boiling temp like 30C

That's so you can plug in cables if you have it in a corner or dark room

This looks like some reddit tier normalfag meme

They're on the inside of the case, and aren't bright enough to actually help anything.

>have to jump through 500 loops to make it not garbage
>install windows 7
>works right as i install it
fuck off shill
I wasn't asking about the low boil heat I was more asking how does it continue to work, electricity and water don't mix very well.

it's mineral oil i think

>water
You're retarded.

>first line of the post and he's already full of shit
There's nothing "stable" about an OS that can decide to delete MBR whenever it updates itself without your consent. Your personal anecdotal evidence that sounds more like poor maintenance of your computer and lack of defragmentation doesn't make the shitty cobbled together abomination of OS with ads in it okay.

>I remember back on Win 7 everything from word to control panel locked up occasionally.
You must be thinking of Vista. 7 SP1 works flawlessly on a fresh install.
>Windows 10 is literally windows 7 they both have the same control panel.
Windows 10 has 2 Control Panels, and it fucking infuriates me how all the different settings are split up between two setting menus.

Oh no clue then

>LEDs overheat the drive
Did anyone even test this before shipping?

Really tired of seeing these low effort twitter memes infesting everywhere.

a) it's not water
b) water isn't conductive

Had to actually bother with the BIOS to turn that shit off on my motherboard

When will this led autism end

I don't understand the hate for windows 10. I never have a problem with it. And if it's spying on me, I can't tell.
I disabled Cortana and onedrive. And I almost got locked out of the machine, because I didn't make a microsoft account. But I fixed that somehow, and haven't had a problem since.

No I remember vista it was even worse, I swear the UAC thing froze up on vista, windows 10 has a lot of issues but if they abandoned all the parity with Vista, 7 and 8 and made a fresh OS there'd be too much bitching about old software not working (vaild issue) so they can't just straight start over like XP to vista was or they'll get more hate then they already do for windows 10

Turn off automatic updates then dumbass, its 2019 you should know this, I doesn't have any ads in it if it does you should stop using live panels on the start menu like a grandma I know it comes with candy crush and that sucks and all but just uninstall it. If you don't like making the best of a bad situation I can't help you, you'll just have to be unsecured on 7 or go to linux, knowing your bias you probably wouldn't install 8.1 even tho it's pretty much Win 7

Ionized Water is and it's a 3M solution I assume is similar to mineral oil I believe the 3M solution moves heat better that's why its the bare CPU as I swear old mineral oil builds had passive CPU heat sinks

If you use LTSB/LTSC its a quite usable OS (With problems) still you have to disable all the shit it comes with (Forced updates, defender needs to be disabled in group policy, disable telemetry, disable key recorder and application telemetry, compatibility telemetry again, among other stuff).
Still its easy to see why its hated, see early 1809 release.

I really like the classic eggshell colour.

I don't like snoy posters, but that part about smashfags being obnoxious fags isn't wrong.

Too bad, enjoy modern office gray and gaymer black.

>flood of wojaks
Isn't that just regular posting?

>Bought LED fans because strangely they were cheaper than the standard versions
>Can't turn the LEDs off without an LED controller
They're stuck on white which at least matches my case I guess.

Attached: 90calorieseachbuttheydothetrick.jpg (1200x1200, 212K)

I think the people who keep talking about BotW being the best game ever since like 4 irrelevant journalists said it was. When most actual zelda fans would say it's not even the best Zelda game. GOATPosters are the worst part of the Nintendo fanbase. Then the Pedos, then Smashfags

I would but most of the time they have a weird plastic shell which makes them extremely expensive to build inside or impossible. I had an old Dell Optiplex case I loved that couldn't fit any decent GPU inside except the really expensive mini variants which are usually worse too.

You can spray paint your PC case any color you know

That's cause they cheap Chinese ones (so are mine they came with a controller tho) but if you get some nice like corsair RGB fans (would be worth it for better airflow alone) you can disable the RGB in software

RENT FREE

Attached: 1557163937746.jpg (700x913, 109K)

>corsair RGB fans
They're HD120's from them. I got 4 and none of them came with a controller. I guess I can't complain since it was $44 for all them last Black Friday.

>Turn off automatic updates then
>In an OS where you can't do it and can only suppress them temporarily
You are a fucking genius, you know that?
>unsecured on 7
>Implying Windows has any security to begin with and users should not use their own antivirus and firewall software
Fuck off, you clown.

Your friend is retarded

Ah fair enough, I think maybe the 3 pack come with a controller I don't know I just fill all the slots with black cheap case fans beside the RGB ones that came the case when a 3 pack of cheap 120mm are on new egg for 15$ and are actually pretty much silent I'll just replace them when they break

>believing the shills
I think the only ones that you are legit forced to are the named (fall, creators) and those are pretty much just the equivalent of service packs. The most issues you will see with windows 10 updates are if you are in the beta program and thats why you shouldn't beta test to corporations. Not saying the are perfect but I'd take having a chance of an update fucking something up (you can just roll back) then using a fresh install of windows 7 that won't even have my network card drivers meaning I need a disk at the time or a second device, lifes all about finding the least inconvenience since everything has it's own way of being an inconvenience
>Use own antivirus
Okay gramps windows defender is free and does the job just fine as long as you are literally not clicking on the Free iPad Facebook ads all day

At this point I stopped being angry about the RGB craze and just use it to indicate temps. Often you can't avoid it without paying extra or downgrading anyway.

Attached: dude water cooling lmao.png (962x934, 1.14M)

>you can turn off the updates!
>but you actually can't!
Spare me the rest of your wold salad.
>windows defender is free and does the job just fine
One of my college course projects was seeing just how easily Windows Defender is overcome with a custom script. Let me tell you something, even shitty free antivirus software like Avast does a better job, not that I'd ever use them. You're arguing with someone about this that does it for a living, windows 10 is shit. It's by far the absolute worst OS they have produced, even worse than fucking windowsME.

Sleeper builds are a shit meme. Air flow is more important than aesthetic sensibilities.

Pretty sure their engineers told them putting 40 (forty) LEDs in close proximity to the memory is a pretty retarded idea but the people who demand stuff like this being made are management techlets.

>beige
zoom zoom zoomie

Its certainly not white.

t. colorblind moron
It's beige.

It's light gray out of the box, but you wouldn't know that because you weren't even a sperm in your daddy's balls during the 90s.

nah, beige is too brown. It's somewhere between beige and grey.

I also went to tech school nerd that don't make you shit, windows 10 is not the worse OS Microsoft has made it's LITERALLY FUCKING WINDOWS LONGHORN, it can be exploited all the same ways as 7 and if you think windows 7 is some God send OS but thought 8 and 10 were so much worse for having a different start menu you are a dumbass, once you get your head out of your ass you'll realize everything that matter besides videogames is done on linux because windows server is only useful to manage files between desktops

I wasn't even born in the 90s lol. Was born in early 2000.

RGB lights cost like 10 bucks for an entire set to engage into that faggotry. You are pretending as if it is comparable to the cost of RAM or a GPU in price.

Piss off zoomer.

>can be exploited in the same way 7 can
>but also comes with a bundle of cancer that is kernel level and cannot be truly expunged
>it's totally better because it's popular and heavily marketed!
You are are a clown. Windows 7 is a decent OS and if Linux met my needs, I'd be over on it a long time ago, but unlike most here, I actually enjoy videogames still. I don't see why you even try to bring up Linux in a discussion about windows 7 versus windows 10

Seethe more grandpa.

RGB lights and fans are the equivalent of car cosmetics to look like a race car.
Both equally retarded.

because 95% of them are below 14 years old. consoles are made for adults because they dont have some retarded RGB LEDs for any shit other than status report.

Look, I agree that RGB lights are retarded, but fans are necessary to cool the PC. Without fans shit will overheat.

hole technology

>consoles
That's a weird way of spelling server cases.

Defrag a RAID10 with 12 drives and it lights up like a fucking Christmas tree.

Light gray, off white and beige are all practically the same color you pedant.

>what is dual boot
because why would you install a dying OS today, living in the past only makes you blind for the future. Anyone with a brain will have a good time on windows 10. I never use anything on the windows store as nothing that matter is there somedays you can't even tell the difference except for the better boot times you see with 10

>toys are made for adults
what did he mean by this?

God I hate having ANY peripheral with lights, don't know how some people enjoy it so much.

Adults build a PC that they can play games on and do their taxes and paperwork
Manchildern spend 500$ on a games console and use their moms compute
>RGB is a fucking choice not everyone has to be the same kind of boring, racists

>better boot times
By default windows 10's shutdown actually logs you out and then puts the computer into hibernation. If you have a HDD this is a huge improvement on boot time but if you have a SSD you should turn that shit off right away because it destroys it quickly with useless writes equal to the amount of RAM you have installed while having little to no impact on speeding up boot time.

>most people here are like that
??????

No one who builds their own PC is like that retard. Why would you spend an extra 100 dollars on a case/lights when you can put that towards a better GPU/CPU/extra ram?

The only acceptable peripheral with lights is the keyboard because it makes typing at night easier
>inb4 he looks at the keyboard while typing

>processor market was shit because intel had no competition till a year ago
>now there's good value processors in every price range

>gpu market is shit because nvidia has no competition
>amd Navi is 99% confirmed to be underwhelming through several sources

reminder that the GPU market is as shit as it is right now because of AMD's incompetence. ryzen is a good example of how competition changes the whole market. without competition these corps will price hike to satisfy their shareholders. AMD is literally to blame for GPU's being so expensive now.

The car comparison that other user did isn't that wrong. The LED/glass side panel trend started in the case modding scene at the end of the 90s-beginning of the 00s. It was cool for like 3 weeks because people only knew the office look until then and it was something new. Nowadays where you can just buy that shit for a few bucks it's just gay af.

This. I'd remove the red LEDs from my motherboard if they weren't diagnostic lights. At least it looks like the fucking red october in there.

Only motherboard and graphic card had puny one color rgb, turned it off thru software. Why wud I need that on my blackout Fractal Design Define R5?

Attached: Безымян555ный.png (699x433, 72K)

>Turn on fast startup (recommended)
Well I'll be damned. Thanks for the advice user. Fuck Windows 10.

I guess back-lit keyboards have their place. It would annoy the fuck out of me but if you need it, sure. Just don't buy RGB keyboards. Their RMA rate is high as fuck.

> having a side-panel on your case to begin with

What sort of retard looks at the inside of his case instead of the monitor?

AMD forces me to have rgb
Also can't find a case with decent airflow without a window

pcpartpicker.com/list/sBfnxG

R8 my upgrade plan. I'm going to start with the SSD and RAM and replace the other parts as I get the money. 2700X is just a placeholder until the 3700X is released

Find me a full tower case with no window but extremely good airflow. You can't because the case industry had a collective stroke.

I built a Gaming PC last week, my GPU has RGB and the motherboard too. It is kind of neat and I think it will cause people to take more care of their stuff.

I have my RGB set to white it looks pretty good in the Blackout R6 desu

Should be changed to "recommended for HDD" or even better defaulted to off it the OS detects a SSD. It already knows to run a SSD-specific optimization algorithm in place of defragmentation so I don't think it'd be hard to set the option automatically.

>rgb lights
absolute cancer, but I do use the led of my aio to change from green to yellow to red depending on CPU heat because that's a pretty fast way to notice pump failure

A EVGA G2 or G3 650/750W PSU, Seasonic is fine too.

Oh, soz, I have r6 aswell, except it's not windowed

bro how is everyone gonna know its a gayman pc and im a serious gaymer with no leds bro

>Anyone with a brain will have a good time on windows 10
No one with a brain uses windows 10. They either use 7, 8.1 or switched to Linux. The other user already explained to your dumbass self that windows10 doesn't actually have faster boot. And windows 10 is also notoriously poorly working with dual boot, continuously trying to overwrite and expunge 7 with every update, because microshills know they want to entrench their model of OS as a service instead as a product, so they'd rather have people move on and forget that at some point in time you could actually use your computer with windows on, instead of surrendering it to Microsoft.

I want a smaller case so i'm about to fall for the micro-case meme and of course it will be white and have blue LED's

You'll porbably die waiting, my dude

Also case airflow is such a fucking meme. As long as you have enough space to put fans/coolers and don't create negative pressure from mounting the fans/coolers incorrectly, you'll be fine.

It's a meme

my b, I missed you saying full tower.

Go to pcpartpicker, select ATX full tower and no side-window and there are a ton of cases.

To stay with Fractal, because I like them, the Fractal XL R2 is one.

Never seen anyone do this except maybe those who buy Razer products but honestly they all have the damn RGB installed on it anyways.

I'm a linuxfag, so AMD would be the better choice for me. I will look into the other suggestions. Thanks

>really like the corsair carbide 540
>it even has 5.25" slots for boomers like me
>they had to ruin the design by making it with a glass side panel

Fuck this shit.

>€840
Poorfag here, are you sers?

Buy m2 for os

I already have a 1000w PSU and I don't want to replace anything but the case. Also server cases are loud as fuck unless you're talking about those cheap Rosewill chassis

Looks okay. I personally would get a non-x CPU and overclock it myself but if that's too spooky for you, go ahead.

The only problems of your build are just the PSU (Corsair just rebrands the cheapest models around).
Watercooling sucks for ATX builds but its good for ITX builds.
And MSI has the best AM4 boards around.

Looks decent, get a MSI B450 Tomahawk instead the Pro4.

Rate my build

Built it exactly one week ago

Either learn proper cable management or just live with that mess of wires. Alternatively put it against the wall or side of your desk where you don't see the guts.

The way the market has gone, almost everything that is high quality products have RGB lights installed in them

Good choice because radeon never faild me when i buy cheap shit on market

>server cases are loud as fuck
Only during POST, otherwise it's about as loud as a regular desktop case with a few fullsize HDDs.

like this one

>rx 580
>200 euro

buy a 1660 ti it's basically a 1070 for around $40 euro more but you're getting way more performance. for comparison the rx 580 is equal to a gtx 1060. the gtx 1660 ti is equal to a 1070/vega56.

Attached: relative-performance_1920-1080.png (500x810, 48K)

If you are talking about a NVMe SSD then its not worth it.
SATA and NVMe drives perform the same for OS and gaming use, you will only see a difference in server, enterprise use or editing.

I would complain about not getting a NH-D15 but both work just fine.

>Making 2 OS share a drive
128gb SSDs are 2$
>dual booting windows 7 and 10
That's the gayest thing I ever heard unless you really cared about DX12 games before windows 7 got it, what possible case is there for that besides not being able to run a new peice of software on an old os inwhich case upgrade. I was talking about Windows and linux
I don't feel like finding the chart but the exact same build will boot like 15 seconds faster on windows 10 because windows 7 was made in an era before SSDs were completely common place and CPUs were much slower windows 7 wasn't ever update with the same boot optimizations as 10 not that an SSD doesn't also improve 7 but technology has advanced since 2009

RGB lights just come along with some of the gear for me. The keyboard I wanted came with them and I mostly use it to show RAM and CPU usage.

Fucking this

I'm still mad they didn't call it the 1100 series. 1660 is a fucking awful name.

god damn son that's alot of (you)'s, must have struck a nerve!

Because nobody bothers with OC anymore.
Also because most of them come from Twitter, facebook and other shitty websites.
Just look at this webm:

I'm so used to /pol/ shitposting on this board that I misread "RGB Lights" as "LGB Rights".

Ah yes, the huge amount of marketing in comparison to consoles and such.

The cooler was like $40 more expensive here so I didn't get it

I wanted 4K for editing desu
I would like to replace my other 1080p monitor but I don't see what advanteges 144hz 1440p G-Sync would give me if I only play single player games.

Because it's very easy to create a relatable meme with surrealist/dark /nihilistic humour and a familiar image

My PC is an old gateway all in one with salvaged parts. The only parts I've paid for is the usb 3 PCI card and the GPU. People need to learn to be frugal with their money.

Attached: 1527899490427.png (500x566, 147K)

My fans have stopped working, they came from 2 other computers so they look mismatched. But, the LED lights in the still work - which bothers me a bit I'd rather the fans still work but not the lights. The CPU fan still works tho, but should I replace the none fanning fans?

He paid 500 for a 60hz display. That shit isn't a frequent upgrade.

>The cooler was like $40 more expensive here so I didn't get it
Both perform the same anyway, the only difference is in noise so its not a problem.

No LED is good way. Low Watts of course

Just buy a pack of 5 arctic fans for $10-20.

>but should I replace the none fanning fans?
I'm going to bed I think I just had a stroke reading this

>500 for 60Hz
Now that's an oof.

Yes? I need a new PC after using a FX-6300 + R9 280 for 5 years.
no clue what you mean
too spooky for me indeed
That one is about €30 more expensive. You think that's worth it?
What are you talking about? A 1660Ti is €100+ more expensive than a RX580, it's a completely different range

I paid €350 for the 4K. What do I need 144hz for? I don't play online autism games

fan is a noun and a verb

>5 arctic fans
Great tip, do not listen retard. Buy delta fans 10k rpm for your damm PC for take care extreme heat

What difference does it make, maybe try cable managment and it wont look so ugly, if you spend 20 minutes of your time you would enjoy looking at parts. Some PC cases have had side windows since like 2004 and LED Case fans have existed for even longer. Why is it now suddenly a big deal when you can still buy solid metal boxes. Personally I think you should either do tempered glass or normal metal I find the acrylic scratches easily and collects too much dust. No excuse when you can buy Mid Towers with glass side pannels on newegg for 40$

Retard. Die.

The Asrock motherboard will work but remember its you get what you paid for tier.

You buy it on who-know-shop PC upgrade. Cheap or Expensive place pock one. It already cheap 40% that price

Here's my PC. I suppose I'll need to upgrade my graphics card eventually, but everything runs fine still.

You made a good choice user. Once you see 144Hz 60 will become the new 30 and 75% of monitors stop existing to you. I took the CRTpill years ago with 160Hz and anything under 100Hz looks like trash now.

Please explain. My GPU isn't able to achieve 144fps so what would I gain from buying a monitor that costs more than a 75" TV?

mindfactory.de/product_info.php/6GB-KFA2-GeForce-GTX-1660-Ti--1-Click-OC--Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-_1297545.html

no it's 259 euro

Don't you have a Smash thread to shitpost in?

>I'll wait till it's five dollars
I'm doing this with the Switch, is it five dollars yet?

I'd say cut the 1tb SSD down to a M2 500gb , and get a 1 or 2tb 7200 HDD for a majority of games especially older ones are already load faster in a 7200rpm drive tho, and 500gbs is alot to fill up for an OS drive and even 250gb of your favorite games

>46c

That's under load after playing something processor intensive right? There is no way you'd let your cpu get that high on idle right?

What choice would I have? 4k 144hz is almost as expensive as my PC. And my GPU wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm open to replace my second 1080p monitor with a 1440p 144hz down the line but I'm not paying $700 for a PC monitor

>That heatsink
Man and i thought Gigabyte had the worst heatsink designs.

>try playing games on 30fps
>get a headache

Will I be able to go back to 60 fps after experiencing 120+ fps?

If I buy an RTX 2080 today will I be able to play 1080p in 60fps and high settings even in 10 years from today?

Oh so you can tell from a picture whether or not a PC has increased performance, storage, or GPU?

My crystal ball says maybe.

I'm sitting on a similar rig but with a standard 1080p 60hz monitor and a normal i7-6700 rather than a K. honestly this thing plays most games that aren't unoptimized as shit relatively fine, but my biggest problem is I need more RAM than 8gb, and I need it badly.

Optimized 30fps like in Sony AAA titles is actually pretty ok.

no
your eyes will ache

No, wait for Navi unless you need a new GPU right now.

>Getting legitimately upset about complete strangers who upgrade their personal property in a way to gain greater enjoyment from using it

Why is Yea Forums like this?

Because the underageb& on this board can't get mommy to buy them quality components.

I'm not. Only lights on mine are the power/disc read lights.

How did you end up with 24gb of ram 2x8 + 1×8?

Nice try retards, but everyone knows the Noctua browns absorbs all RBG light like a black hole.

Attached: 1548265930994.png (1010x1008, 1.53M)

Yeah, I have no idea why it runs that hot, I have a H115i. when I do something it does get to 55 - 60 but usually not much higher than that.

with cards this low powered the cooling doesn't really matter much anyway. i have a dual fan evga 1070 and it's not even quieter than my friends single fan gtx 1060 because his card is low power and efficient anyway so it only really needs the single fan.

I have 2 x 8 and 2 x 4.

If you enjoy anything with sincerity or investment you're an NPC or soiboy or redditor or some other buzzword. To be a true free thinker everything you say and do must be cynical or ironic and you must go out of your way to demonstrate that you don't enjoy things the sheeple commonly do.

No, it's the fastest consumer grade GPU without RTX. Why would it be outdated?

Ok, thank you.
Are you alright user?
Not where I live unfortunately. Can't find cheaper than 290.
I'd like to have everything on 1 drive and won't need more than 1TB total. 1TB SSD is about as expensive as 500GB SSD + 1-2TB HDD I think.

You can get decent Korean 27 inch 1440p 165hz monitor for about 250-300$ on Amazon the one I was looking at for a second monitor had good site and YT reviews L1Tech said it was good, and even if your card can't do it now you may upgrade in the future and then you're set you can play some stuff at 1080p 144hz easy with an RX 580

mid 40s is pretty normal for a 8700k to reach just by mild idle stuff like just browsing chrome and processes on the background

It will still only reach high 60s on full load anyways with no OC.
And with OC you are even safe reaching 90c so I don't see a problem at all.

1080 Tis aren't even sold anymore and the only ones you can find are $1000+. Why would you tell him to buy that?

Epik :^)

>i7-9700K stays at like 30C at all times.
I'd like to see that. Sounds like you're a magician.

Get a Vega 56 or Vega 64 instead
Fuck Nvidia

Not him but I can get dual xeons to stay at room temperature on idle all year long.

>Not where I live unfortunately. Can't find cheaper than 290.
you do realise mindfactory ships to every EU state, right?

I thought the RGB was wired separately from the fans. I bought the LL120 and was having problems getting the Node and Hub to work (turns out some Sata power cables have different pinouts) and the lights wouldn't turn on at all without being plugged in to the hub. At least in Corsair's case. I know most RGB fans are just a single color LED that turns on when the fan turns on.

Attached: file.png (1678x1800, 3.66M)

Nice

Please user, you can find them on ebay
those selling for $1000 are brand new relics stored in some amazon re-seller storage warehouse.

Nice man Radeon VII is such and underrated card

No amount of cable management makes a glass side panel not look like hot garbage.

I had to stock up on cases with at least 3 5.25 bays because most new ones, even full or super size ones, don't even have 1 5.25 bay. I hate how they look too. Minimalist in appearance and functionality.

upgrade your VII to a Vega 56, it isn't much of a price increase and 100% worth it

That site doesn't accept my preferred payment method nor can I see where to change the language so I can actually tell what it says

iirc you can buy a solid panel for that side. But knowing Corsair it's overpriced as hell.

Looks like something a consolefag slapped together in under a minute.

Can you do the things you want with your PC?

How is that SSD not dead yet? they were the Deathstars of the SSD world.
CPU only if you find a cheap Xeon.

It all depends in your budget and what do you want to do.

Why your musty ass hands leave prints on it? they look really cool as all high end components look cool now, I love black PCBs being the new standard over sky blue, green and the occasional red. Tempered glass is really cool if you want to customize your PC and give it some flavor I reccomend sticker bombing you can get a 100 pack of cool vinyl decals for 10$ on Ebay walk into a Zumes and you'll have a seizure when you see how much they sell stickers for.

Does the 2700x have a significant advantage over the regular 2700? I got the 2700 and it’s been great, but I’m wondering if I’m missing out.

Absolutely no one is like this
Anyone stupid enough to be like this would be buying a prebuilt instead

Then be a pussy, even if you have to buy 2 400$ 1080tis over the next 5 years sounds worth the risk vs the average 800$ selling price of a 2080. They're either memeing for laughs or it's what happens when posts asking people to show off their system attracts replies from exactly the type of people who buy RGB lighting to show off their system. It's that simple. Why would I bother taking pics of my classy Silverstone case with 0 lights except for 2 standard case LEDs for power and HDD activity. I love it and how it cools but I have no reason to show it off.

That is how prebuilts are sold though.
>Who cares about specs, it has fancy red lights so it must be powerful

Don't forget blue LEDs make it run cooler while green LEDs make it use less power.

Yeah, but the clowns that buy them don't upgrade their rigs, they get their mom to buy them a new one, so the OP image really doesn't apply to hardly anyone

That's what happens when you up clock speeds and double core counts in the same socket, whatever they would've gained from 7nm was sacrificed for performance jumps I hope atleast

Want to sell your shitty old FX build? Buy some cheap ass RGB shit and fire them up when you take your ebay pics. Boosts resell value immensely. Not even meming.

In this particular instance, it's a super expensive fluid know as 3M Novec

All I want is an 8c CPU which goes >4.5GHz and doesn't burn my flat down.

And put a 120GB DRAMLESS SSD on it.

Memes aside that's the 9700K rn but I want AMD to improve some SC performance because the said the same shit about FX 8 Cores "changing how we program" well most programs today rely on good per core performance and AMD only makes up their slack cause of higher cores, if they improve SC they can leverage faster per core along with higher core counts

No, these look to just be decorative. There is already a set of indicator LEDs.

Ugly case

my friends autistic brother does this shit all the time
instead of upgrading his GPU he has purchased 3 1tb hard drives seagate
and 2 extra monitors

Why did you buy such a fuckhuge case?

>implying being a based data hoarder is bad
>implying multi screen setups aren't great
Nothing to do with soi RGB.

there are plenty of cases like that, you just don't want to pay for them because they are $250+

nice boring shitbox, grandpa

the 2 extra monitors are never used apart from for when hes on discord with his little faggy friends laughing at memes

Why do RGB lights trigger poor people so much? They look good and require exceptional PC building skills to have all work properly.

Attached: IMG_0433[1].jpg (4032x3024, 2.25M)

It's not glass, it's a plastic panel. Just go to a used computer shop and lift one off from a dead system.

Is watercooling your pc a huge meme?

Idk. I mean probably a little bit yeah. They do typically run quieter. And will typically run cooler as well. But these benefits are marginal at best. For the most part I like watercoolong because it looks cleaner.

Dios mio. At least use only one color.
For most people - yes, absolutely. See here I'd only recommend water cooling if you either have a housefire CPU (9900k/9980XE) which needs a custom loop or if you have a mITX build.

Did you really put an RTX card in a PCIEx4 slot?

I'm fine with RGB if it's done tastefully and they actually mess with color settings, but most of the time it looks like a unicorn vomited in their case because they keep it on default.

Because they look ass and are completely frivolous.

That's /g/ in a nutshell.

i5 7500
Gtx 1050
16 gbs RAM

Attached: 1468870881673.jpg (960x960, 124K)

Why do this? Why not just fucking buy the best gpu you can instead of upgrading to already out of date hardware every year or two? I mean at worst wouldnt you just be breaking even in terms of cost?

Make a thread about RGB on /g/, see what happens.

>frogniggers thinking they are entitled to an opinion

Heterosexuals don't need to dress up their PC to look flamboyant

>GTX 1050
Why? Unless you get one for like $50 there is no reason to buy that shit. Get an RX 570.

So I'm kind of clueless when it comes to PCs but I tried out Cinema 4D and sometimes it just takes forever to save and of course render time is long. With a bunch of objects on screen there isn't noticeable stuttering as I move around my set-up.

Would you say I need an upgrade in RAM or GPU? Or both. I currently have only 16GB of RAM and will be upgrading to at least 32GB. Worth upgrading my GPU as well?

>tfw still running a 670
What do?

I dunno it was like 80 eurocoins on my local stores, by the way this is still planning phase I'm just asking around to gather all kinds of opinions on my build, refining it in the process

>i5 7500
Just no. Either get a Ryzen 3 or buckle up and buy a coffee lake. There is no reason to buy a fucking 7500 in 2019
>GTX 1050
user no. Way too expansive and shit won't run smooth.

Sounds like a processor issue to me

the only RGB that matters is the RGB for your keyboard.
and im not talking about that fancy rainbow shit either, just a singe solid color is perfectly fine.

Attached: KeyboardRGB.jpg (270x270, 45K)

forgot an L for the word single

Don't buy RGB keyboards. They break like crazy. Get a simple back-lit keyboard if you really have to look at your keyboard when you type.

What this guy said.
Get a RX 570.

Nothing in my PC has RGB on it. I even disabled the one that was included on 1070ti

I've had mine for 3 years. Corsair k70 RGB. Works perfectly. Don't be ham fisted with it

actually, normal backlit is perfectly fine, though i dont usually have to look at my keyboard when i type its just nice to have for night-time endeavors

>Dios mio. At least use only one color.
Yikes. Imaging spending the amount of money I did on a fully RGB system only to have one color.

I could've just bought some cheap, generic chinese fans with gamer red LEDs if that was a remotely viable option.

>Did you really put an RTX card in a PCIEx4 slot?
You can't be this dense.

>I'm fine with RGB if it's done tastefully and they actually mess with color settings
>most of the time it looks like a unicorn vomited in their case

The beauty of unicorns and rainbows is just fine to most people. The irony is somebody paying full price for systems capable of displaying thousands of colors but only choose to use a select few because of some/ gaymer rule that says if you have rgb if its not boring neon or static color schemes its not cool (in reality any showcase PC displaying the entire color spectrum because its optimal aesthetics.

Attached: Di0u9FgUwAAjsj_.jpg (1200x800, 130K)

How come? Surely you arent actually this insecure about what people on this site complain about... right user?

Thanks for the advice. Still a couple more months to go until I het the actual budget together but I'll be sure to keep it in mind

Attached: 1527628671497.png (500x610, 270K)

Fair enough, I think I'll just do a full upgrade then to be sure. I sure won't miss whatever fucking part forces a restart loop on boot occasionally then reports as if completely fine

Nigga anybody who actually cares about their RGB aesthetics has several color profiles set up and switches based on what they feel like looking at that day. You can even make rainbow look good if you mess with the software.
If anything default Rainbow Vomit shows the person doesn't care about aesthetics and just wants people to know they paid a premium to make their computer glow in the dark.

t. Never been to

My Nitro+ LED changes color depending on the temps. It's for that.
