the new DPS is ranged, which for some people is a big deal since Machinist (one of the only 2 ranged DPS in the game) has never been very well recieved and during Heavensward Bard was retooled into a strange bowmage hybrid. So finally having 3 seperate ranged options could be neat. And with there now being 4 tank classes, rather than 3, they're supposedly splitting 2 into Main Tanks and two into Off Tanks who probably do more damage but have less utility or survivability.
Primals are also usually fun boss fights with spectacle and nice music like youtu.be/hMBxYpdgTa4 so they're always pretty nice when we get new ones. And the Main Story Quest is surprisingly a big part of why people play FF14 despite it being an MMO
So yeah I guess it's kind of exciting

Yes. If you want to unlock a new jo you just talk to the relevant NPC. In the base game, that's all guilds in city states, later on that shit gets a bit more arbitrary (like RDM unlocking in a random street in Ul'dah.)

I'm not level 70 but I imagine you can fit them all using the WXHB and L2+R2 XHB. What I would do is put Tether and Blood Dragon etc in L2+R2 while my main combos are on the normal XHB. Utility stuff in the WXHB maybe.

Playing healer in this game gives you a lot of freedom to DPS, it's the same whether you're playing Scholar, Astro or White Mage. Even in the most healing intensive content, you'll still spend 90% of your time DPSing.

TK Openers are optimal yes; single TK opener is both strong AND easy to perform, so theres no reason you shouldn't be doing it. Double TK opener is fucky with ping, and isn't worth doing unless your live in Cali and can nail the double weaves. For the rotation, TK during RoF is both easy AND powerful, so you have no reason not to do it. TK spam using RoW however, is only slightly stronger, and is a potency loss if you can't nail the weaves perfectly (it's also getting removed in Shad Owbringers, so not much reason to learn it.)
