Heavy was the best part of the first one.

I bet they'd put Gordon Freeman in PNI 3.

how do you know he's not the player

Deppest lore.
Although that'd actually be a fun way to get around the issue with mute characters, just have them be the player.

Is there a mod for PNatI that makes Tyco bald and changes his dialog to reference that he is bald?

Attached: IMG_1541.jpg (750x376, 89K)

Good point

Attached: 1537401846890.jpg (552x697, 165K)

I don't think there's any mods for either game. Which is a shame, because I've been playing a lot of 2 lately, and I've noticed that sometimes the animations can get real jittery when characters are interrupted.

Seems like a missed opportunity.

In 2 it's Chell, that's why GlaDos is a bitch to you.

Heavy had a hard life

It would've been prime material for modders. To get around not having voices for different characters you could add some text box and basically write fan-fiction for them.
If they did every consider opening it up to mods, then it could've undermined any potential plans they had for this idea. How would you sell DLC of a character that a modder can do in a day?
But I still would've liked to see it happen.

Why is 2 not available on Steam anymore, anyway?

Telltale is dead, and perhaps either Borderlands or Evil Dead rights Expired.

>Strong Bad talks shit about TellTale in the first
>Claptrap talks shit about Gearbox in the second, and when he's busted out they tell him they're not paying him
These games were oddly prescient.

Telltale went under, licenses for the characters likely ended as well.

Well yeah I know Telltale is dead, but if they're dead why is 1 still up?

Maybe the licenses for 1 haven't ended yet. It's possible they renewed them at some point before their demise so now it's just a matter of waiting it out.

I don't think Penny Arcade or the Homestar guys would care as much as Gearbox and whoever owns Ash.

But why did they put the Penny Arcade faggot in

Max staring blankly without a grin isn't right.

Wallace's actor died, though.

i guess this was supposed to be funny?

All those hours spent on it and I still haven't gotten Heavy to flip the table

You mean Sniper, Carl, Guybrush, and Wolverine.

I fold!

Rate my table idea
Bayoneta/Cereza from the bayoneta franchise
Trixie Lulamoon from the my little pony franchise
Aster from the evenicle franchise
Sooka from the avatar franchise

Can you imagine enjoying deplorable garbage like this? This is the most reddit-tier thing I think I've ever had the displeasure to see.

kk

Yea Forums trash tier, you've gotta diversify your sources my guy. pic related is an idea I had a few years ago, hank and dean would switch out with each other and count as a single player.

Attached: NFBUKm4[1].jpg (1800x700, 303K)

Alright replace Trixie with Mr satan, or maybe chichi.

the issue is you still have two from jap games and then two from anime. You've also got to consider compatibility between the different characters, how the dialogue would play out etc. For instance, with mine, I have osomatsu and hank and dean, they have common grounds when it comes to brotherly issues, they also are compatible with iron man when it comes to inventions, same with the engineer. Clementine is a bit of an outlier but would still be able to speak comfortably with hank and osomatsu. talking about the walking dead outbreak can have iron man talk about the marvel zombies universe.

I don't know much about the characters you've mentioned, but it's worth considering as banter between the characters is as much of the game as the poker itself.

Wallace's VA died a few years ago, couldn't do him now.

2 would be better if there were a way to turn off Glados being a bitch after pretty much every decision. At least the dealer in the first only announces the results.

>anime

What about Adam from Welcome to the Game as the Dealer? He'd be live-streaming the tournament to the deep web the whole time.

>implying the writers at valve couldn't come up with great nonverbal comedy for a mute character
It would be a serious missed opportunity not to try

is this game worth paying 5 bucks for if I don't give a fuck about the TF2 cosmetics?

anime style, not distinct enough.

It's mostly about the conversations in the game. It's really comfy. But half the reasons are for tf2 cosmestics. If you love poker and convos then I suggest pirating

Yes

just give me an entire venture bros poker night game. Monarch, Sgt. Hatred, Orpheus, and Rusty, Dr.Mrs. The Monarch as the bartender and Helper as the dealer.

It was because Sam is such a shitty character compared to Max.

GREAT DAY IN THE MORNING

Just like the company that made the game i guess.

I didn't mind sam. It was that robot that genuinely bothered me. He wasn't funny or had interesting lines

no because having someone voice a dead person would be shit and uncanny

The thread that was up a couple days ago enticed me to redownload and play. It's actually a fun poker game, but damn the voice lines get old fast.
It's a nice touch, though, how when characters are interrupted while talking they'll say something like "now where was I..." and continue their dialogue. It actually flows pretty well.

It's better than playing online Poker with the kind of sociopaths who would play online Poker, at least.

Absolute idiotic melt you are

but do you guys play
spnati.net/

You crack me up, little buddy.

Sam & Max Anniversary set > Venture Bros > Portal > Army of Darkness > Borderlands

>Carl
>Engineer
>Guybrush
>Nathan Explosion
That's all I want

>2 Adult Swim reps
So it'd be an Adult Swim-developed game at that point instead of Telltale.

Hell even just Carl playing poker with Frylock, Cup, and Meatman would be good
>Meatwad's AI is terrible and he goes all in on anything
>Shake can't bluff for shit

It's too bad we won't get anymore of these games. TWD really did a number on Telltale huh?

Carl
Carlton
Carl from the walking dead
and Invoker

I never actually bothered looking into why they went under, I just remember hearing about how they hired people literally days before folding.

Heard working conditions sucked and the CEO was a dick but I don't know exactly why it went under

>melt
Speak American here, limey.

With any luck Gearbox will follow suit.

Are there other card games with this much SOUL?

I like how it's universally agreed that Carl should be in the game

Carl
Zoey from L4D
Scout
Tony Hawk as himself

>I like how it's universally agreed that Carl should be in the game

Damn straight it is. I still want to see 47

>tf2 babbies sense of humor
Glad I grew out of this shit

>ctrl f carl
>11 matches
My niggas all of you

They spent a gajillion dollars on licenses but TWD was the only one that sold decently. Also they had more employees than Valve

>genetically engineered perfect human being who always looks angry and stoic
>in a game where the only way people can tell if you're bluffing is if your demeanor cracks somehow

I feel like a brainlet whenever there's a side pot

When does the side pot ever not just go to whoever wins the hand

>Tony Hawk as himself
I had no idea how much I wanted this until now.

Attached: tony hawk.png (684x960, 522K)

If a smaller stack that is covered by at least two other players went all in and then the other two players continue betting.

Even if the small stack wins the side pot will go to the other two players since the small boy has already hit the limit to what he can earn in the hand according to his bet

>Nick from L4D
>Kenny from TWD
>Han Solo
>Detective Pikachu

Also they were insistent on making the same type of game over and over in a niche genre but with different licences
Also their engine was poorly maintained and buggy as shit
Also their upper management was so terrible that the devs were in constant crunch and rewrites

>finally get him to not fold
>bust him
>lose to Max anyway
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>Detective Pikachu instead of Deadpool

Nah, it's because Claptrap was an unsuitable replacement for Tycho. Tycho was annoying and sweary, but he had this smarmy self-awareness that made him hateable without being too irritating to the player.

hmmm thinking about a table for 3 is an interesting thought. gimme me monokuma

what's wrong with Claptrap?

youtube.com/watch?v=4R_xVC5GwFg

The most tragic part of Telltale's death is losing Poker Night, Sam and Max, and the Wolf Among Us

Sam and Max deserved better than to be sidelined for those shitty Tales games
