Half the MUA roster was the movie characters of their day (X-Men, FF, Blade, Spider-Man, Darrdevil, Elektra, Ghost Rider) and had costumes from the cinematic Ultimate universe or directly based on their movie versions (Blade). The Iron Man movie hadn't come out yet but they were already planning it and had announced it would lead to Avengers. The MCU was already in production and Marvel had been pushing the Avengers hard in the comics to prep for it.
