I hope the next one builds on it a bit.

Surprised there is no ramen games

thanks now i'm hungry

Vanillaware make the best goddamn food. I can't get through Odin Sphere or Muramasa without feeling hungry.

>the stupid music
>the stupid cutscene
>99% of recipes are fucking useless

yea great mechanic

>food can only give you one buff

Is it bad I find women eating hot?

Only if they're fat women.

I've never play BotW. Does it allow you to mix ingredients for new buffs?

I'd have:
>Carrot soup
>Sauteed Carrots
>Onion Rings
>Pea Croquettes
>Onion Soup
>Chicken Soup
>Give Snake Stew a try
>Pea Pottage
>French Fries
>Toasted Bread
>Macaroni
>Deep Fried Scorpion
>Harpy Egg Omelette
>Ham Steak and Roast Ham Steak
>Roasted Chicken
>Hearty Meat Soup
>Stir Fried Bat
>Grilled Snake

You can mix up to five of any item in the game that isn't a key item or equipment, and certain types of ingredients give buffs. They mostly just boil down to healing, stamina, temperature, elemental resistance, damage, defense, and speed though. Would like some more variables next time around.
Also certain combinations make certain things, like wheat sugar milk and butter tend to make a cake.

Would eating an Omelette made of Harpy's Eggs be considered inhumane? I mean, I'd still do it anyway because omelettes are delicious but still.

depends on the sapience of harpies in the setting

of course! how else did they get so big?

are you actually being serious? It wasn’t good at all. It was so abusable being able to carry 3 pages of food and pause and heal at any time. You also only needed one hearty component to cook a meal that fully heals your hp and gives extra hearts. You could find several hearty radishes outside one of the stables too.

As for food that gave buffs the buffs themselves lasted too little and were never worth the time it takes to go out of your way and craft them, eg needing a dragon horn for a 30 min duration budd.

You could cook during a bloodmoon to increase effectiveness of food instead but it was rng which was dumb as hell

And you call them french fries, despite the fact that they are obviously roasted potato slices.

What mmo has good cooking? I've only played ffxiv, and cooking in ffxiv it plays like any other crafter which isn't that interesting.

You also forgot to mention that the process of cooking through selecting the ingredients and then dropping them in the pan was also tedious as fuck, especially since skipping the animation takes as long as letting it play out for some reason.

>Meal Drive
>things that get dropped so hard you forget about their very existence 5 minutes after the fact
Fuck that shit was boring.

unfertilized eggs are basically unused placentas.

that would be like eating a fucking dog embryo

Shame about how piss easy cooking makes the game though. Nintendo should've implemented a real-time eating animation at least.

I gotta get my grub on, user.

Hey man, if you want to be the fantasy equivalent of a chink bugman, I'm not going to stop you.
