Fully uncensored sex scenes

Non-linearity and sequence breaking
I bet this article has some bullshit about Samus being strong and not appearing in the Zero Suit.

that article has some of the absolute worst opinions I've ever read written down

60fps
Other M being non-canon
Sensical FPS control-schemes
uh

I mean, things like metroidvania level-design, upgrades or a badass Samus are required even consider it a Metroid Prime game, so everything else are things that as a fan I would really want. On top of MP4

Here you go before anyone asks
> 10. Start With All Your Equipment
> 9. VR Integration like RE7
> 8. Take Control Of Your Ship & ability to manually fly to different planets
> 7. Huge Graphical leap from Prime 3 & Other M
> 6. RPG Style Customisation, such as Picking up Fallen Armor & Weapons
> 5. Bring That golden Age Nintendo Magic
> 4. More Enemy Variety
> 3. Survival Horror Elements like Metroid Fusion, except in 3D
> 2. Space stations, space ships and alien worlds of every possible climate in a thousand different colours. Then they all need to be separated by space pirate fleets and large asteroid fields with worm holes that transport us to alternate versions of those levels
> 1. Giving Fans access to everything from the start and relying on the player's intuition and imagination to create their own experience like BOTW

>10. Start With All Your Equipment
>9. VR Integration
>8. Take Control Of Your Ship
>7. Best Graphics Yet
>6. RPG Style Customisation
>5. Bring That Indefinable Nintendo Magic
>4. More Enemy Variety
>3. Survival Horror Elements
>2. The Most Intricate Levels and Largest Environments Yet
>1. To Be "Metroid: Breath of the Wild"

Metroid is one of Nintendo's biggest O.G franchises, going back to the earliest days of home console gaming, managing to spawn its own genre that's frequently imitated to this day.

As such it deserves the same love, care and attention that Zelda got in Breath of the Wild, it needs that same sense of expansion.

Space is the perfect next step after a large fantasy kingdom. Planets instead of plateaus, space ships instead of gliders and horses and space stations instead of castles and Divine Beasts.

Giving us access to everything from the off and relying on the player's intuition and imagination to create their own experience has been one of the best innovations in modern gaming.

It could be used to great effect in Metroid.

Mix all that with brilliantly designed, jaw dropping, aesthetics and mechanics that change the way we think about gaming and how can this not end up being one of the best games of the generation?

And in the end that's all we want.

That's not too much to ask for, is it?

>Start with all your equipment.
Wasn't the main draw of the metroid games the unlocking and applying of new abilities and powers? aside from the exploration of course
>VR Integration
VR Labo looks like absolute shit.
>To Be "Metroid Breath of the Wild"
Kek

People are going to shit on me but I want Ridley to be more promptly characterized and maybe even have full fledged VA as well as a prequel of sorts playing as a young teenage Samus slowly growing to be the hardened bounty hunter she is.

We've seen the potential in him through the comics, small bits of into littered in the games and even Smash itself. He has potential to be GOAT but after Other M, fans and Nintendo itself are scarred of even attempting a more story driven Metroid. It also doesn't help Prime 3 tried to be more story focused and while it wasn't bad it's considered to be the worst of the Prime games.

Metroid is one of the few Nintendo games that could really benefit with a story focus but it's been seemingly cursed with shit writers. But I still want another go and what better way to start then with another Retro Metroid game?

Like it or not, BOTW is the defining game of this century until the new one comes out. If Metroid Prime 4 could be as a successful as that it would be a complete game changer

>and what better way to start then with another Retro Metroid game?
You know it's only Retro in name and all the staff is different, right?

Oh I know, but the things they want like
>Huge graphical leaps.
>Enemy Variety.
Don't evoke BotW (which I liked btw).
I guess when they said "Be Metroid of the Wild" they meant "be successful".

>this article
>Survivor Horror elements
>When Metroid by itself is more Horror based any any of the games nowadays that are meant to be scary.

Awful article.

>bitchin' music
>chill vibes
>big world with lots of shortcuts
Just give me a game of equal quality to the other games, and I will be satisfied

TUUUUUUUUBBEEEEEESSSS

None of Retro's game have had consistent staff

>Take Control Of Your Ship
Controlling your ship is fine, they had that in Prime 3, that was an alright but extremely limited use addition that definitely doesn't line up with Samus's power up design, but the locations in Prime 3 not being stacked on top of eachother and running through eachother is definitely one of the games weakpoints. At no point in the game is there an "oh shit I know where I am" moment.
>rpg style customization
Why? this is what Castlevania does and it adds nothing to the core gameplay systems, at best it's overlaid and exploitable in a few situations. This is the sort of shit killing video games, where video games that don't need this add it in anyway because character development systems like this draw a beeline to your brains pleasure center.
>To Be "Metroid: Breath of the Wild"
Metroid's formula is about exploring a non linear dungeon where upgrades open up more of the dungeon for the player, this isn't going to improve the game in any way, and this won't push things forwards in any way.

They are retarded but starting with all your equipment is fine, since you could easily lose all your equipment anyway.

I'm honestly not against the idea but the big problem BoTW had was balancing and enemy variety. That said if anyone can pull it of Retro has a very good history.

So, far from being what fans "demand" but I'm open to it.

Attached: fair enough.png (485x400, 296K)

The new guys made Tropical Freeze.
I have my full trust in them.

Everything besides 7 and 5 are retarded or already there.

It's definitely not the defining game of this century, you're throwing that term around like it makes any sense in context, the defining game of this century is Minecraft.

Prime has enemy variety though.

Dark Souls and Minecraft are tied, I believe
Minecraft changed everything, but honestly, so did Dark Souls
No devs gave a shit about difficulty in the post-2007 era before Souls, and now every developer is comparing their game to it

And that's one problem fixed already.

>we demand VR, the best graphics, and the largest worlds and levels
so they also demand a 2030 release date?

You sound like a raging Souls fan
>No devs gave a shit about difficulty in the post-2007 era before Souls
That kind of ignores the reality of the situation, since difficult games continued to exist before and after Dark Souls, at best you could say it reinvigorated a focus on harder difficulty in games, but mainstream games continue to be easy.
Minecraft spawned countless me too copycats, and it popularized crafting systems, and procedural world generation to the point where many games where these systems don't fit have them anyway.
Minecraft was also a major part of the zeitgeist of the time, and is one of the highest selling games of all time.
GTA 3 is easily far far more important to this centuries games, and far far more relevant today than Dark Souls is.

Alright lets do this shit
>Start with all your equipment
By that do they mean that there shouldn't be any powerups? I think Samus should start with the essentials but obviously Metroid should be about you getting stronger progressively so this list is already retarded
>VR Integration
Pointless gimmick, would add absolutely nothing to the game
>Take control of your ship
Prime 3 already did this, it was alright. I'd prefer we stay on one planet this time, i don't need the ship to be anything more than a menu that takes you to different locations
>Best graphics yet
I mean, thats a given, it WILL be going from SD to HD but its still the Switch, so don't expect anything that high end PCs put out. Prime 3 wasn't graphically impressive for its time but it still looked good because of the cool environments which Prime shines in
>RPG Customisation
No?
>Nintendo Magic
Sure whatever that means
>More enemy variety
Prime games have always had a good amount of enemies to fight so not sure why this is even here
>Survival Horror
Fusion wasn't a survival horror game just because you had something chasing you. Metroid doesnt need to be anything but a space adventure

The last two go hand and hand and i'm gonna disagree with them. What the game NEEDS to be is a well designed metroidvania with a cohesive world. It doesn't need to be some open world grandiose adventure. It worked for Zelda, but Metroid doesn't need that. And i don't think it would service the gameplay. Give the player the "illusion" of being open but keep the gameplay tight and close.

It literally is, regardless of how much you try to deny it

I invoke Stefan Molyneux's law, since it applies here.

fpbp
unironically, samus can be a strong female lead while being an unashamed bimbo
this as well, imagine a titanfall-style multiplayer mode with maps based all around the metroid universe
this, game should unironically be similar to breath of the wild and set you loose early with puzzles being physics-based brainteasers more than 'use x to solve y'
this obviously
sounds like derivative westernized trash fuck off
kenji yamamoto better fucking compose the soundtrack

>Open level design, you don't even need to be open world if you disguise the progression
>Actual bounty hunting, you almost tried it in Prime 3
>Level variety
>More creative use of abilities
>Reward the player for going off the beaten path
>Show why Samus doesn't keep her overpowered abilities
>More log entries
>Somehow manage to convey Samus' mobility from the 2D games
>Be smart about the backtracking
>Don't play it safe
I'd also ask to move the timeline forward, but that's more of an overall Metroid request.

Cope

> 10. Start With All Your Equipment
> 6. RPG Style Customisation, such as Picking up Fallen Armor & Weapons
But.... why?

Attached: spurdo_no_28825.jpg (600x721, 34K)

So long as the scan logs are fun to read, and like 99% of the items and props in the game can be scanned.
That shit was the best.

>this, game should unironically be similar to breath of the wild and set you loose early with puzzles being physics-based brainteasers more than 'use x to solve y'
Never reply to me with idiocy like this again.

Well, here's more than 10 features, take your pick.

Attached: a268d5_3450508.jpg (824x4014, 736K)

I dunno what the fuck this is supposed to be, but it doesn't sound like Metroid.

>graphics
>cool weapons
>scanning
>good music

Honestly don't ask for much

How would non-linearity even work in a Metroid game, though? The whole shlock is that to go some place you need this one upgrade, that will unlock new upgrades allowing you to go new places. I seriously don't know how to change it without changing the formula too much.

Don't be Metroid Other M.
Don't be Metroid Prime 3.
Be Metroid Prime 1, but just a better version of it.

New planets, ecosystems, to explore.
Stop fucking around with Samus as a character. Nobody cares about Samus. Fuck Samus. She's just an avatar to explore cool worlds with.
Fun movement options, enemy types that take advantage of 3D space, so on.

Just be good.

>How would non-linearity even work in a Metroid game, though?
The same way it did in Metroid and Super Metroid you stupid child.

10. No. The point of Metroid is to explore, solve puzzles, shoot shit, and become progressively stronger & more adept at playing the game, only to get tossed curve balls to challenge the player.
9. On the Switch? Fuck you.
8. And the point of this is? I mean, unless you're going for "Every Planet Has Only 1 Ecosystem" like Star Wars, then what's the point?
7. No-one would argue against graphical updates.
6. Why would enemy armor be compatible with the Chozo-made Power Suit? Shit that breaks lore should instead be ignored.
5. Which means "Don't Make Other M pt. 2". That's a duh.
4. Only so long as the new enemy variety also means new ways to kill the enemy and/or use them to explore the environment, puzzle solving, etc.
3. The stalker thing has been done already. Try something new instead.
2. Why. Samus is a "Bounty Hunter" in badly-understood English only. She's more a "Hero for Hire", which means she's hired to go someplace and deal with shit the Government don't want to. If the story calls for it, then sure. But how would the story of a Metroid game call for this design mechanic in a logical way that doesn't destroy "That Golden Age Nintendo Magic"?
1. No, BotW is BotW. Metroid is Metroid. BotW is built upon Zelda 1 & 2, while Metroid is built upon labyrinth puzzles and Alien movies. You might as well ask for Samus to collect 120 Space Sparks and flip her helmet around in the air every time she finds one. Giving Metroid players everything from the start is the worst idea ever, and the person who thought of it should be drug out into the middle of the street and shot dead. The only thing players should have immediate access to are the standard Power Suit, her arm cannon, her wall climb/jump, scan visor, and Zero Suit.

A renaming. I never wanted Prime 4 and 15 extra seconds of footage for 100%'ing Prime 3 hardly changed my mind.

>demand
why are gaymers so entitled?

>10. Start With All Your Equipment
Fuck that old meme. It's a game, don't worry so much about the equipment getting process.
>9. VR Integration like RE7
Fuck that NEW meme.
>8. Take Control Of Your Ship & ability to manually fly to different planets
I would rather just stay on one planet.
>7. Huge Graphical leap from Prime 3 & Other M
Well no shit.
>6. RPG Style Customisation, such as Picking up Fallen Armor & Weapons
FUCK no.
>5. Bring That golden Age Nintendo Magic
This is meaningless.
>4. More Enemy Variety
More than what? But sure.
>3. Survival Horror Elements like Metroid Fusion, except in 3D
As long as they're limited, like in Fusion, sure.
>2. Space stations, space ships and alien worlds of every possible climate in a thousand different colours
Fuck no man. Metroid is about isolation, this is so stupid.
>1. Giving Fans access to everything from the start and relying on the player's intuition and imagination to create their own experience like BOTW
And fuck that too.
I hate whoever made this shit.

>Start with all your equipment/be Metroid: Breath of the Wild
not sure about this one
>VR integration
who cares
>Take control of your ship
meh
>Best graphics
that's a given
>RPG style customization
Huh... why? I think Samus looks are pretty iconic and while changing a little bit might be fun, I don't think that's something I'd DEMAND from the game
>More enemy variety
Yes, PLEASE, Metroid games tend to become boring by the end of it
>Survival horror elements
Also yes. Fusion is amazing because of the running and hiding scenes.
>Intricate levels and large enviroments
sure, it's a metroid game after all.

But honestly, I'd like to see a good story for once in a Metroid game. I know they are all about exploration an such, but it can be done.

Chipping in with everyone else to say that the article is retarded and whoever wrote it should be pushed off a roof.

the person who wrote this is not a metroid fan

I want a see through zero suit

No, drug out into the middle of the street and shot dead.
