Dude same, and I even own them all. I tried BL2 three separate times and could never finish it. Its a huge slog and has the cringiest writing ive ever, and likely will ever, see in my entire fucking life. BL1 was great for me though. I have prequel but never played it. I just have a feeling its gonna be more of the same as BL2.

I actually like the character designs but the actual cel shading in this is so over the top. There is so much visual noise it becomes nauseating to look at.

It doesn’t feel as nice as the later games but I prefer the writing in the DLC over the overly sarcastic and observational stuff 2 and beyond went for, I remember Dr. Ned getting an actual chuckle out of me with his popcorn comments

My friend said she wanted Moze, so either Zane of FL4K. Zane's Hitman line and ability to equip two action skills look fun, but it robo bro has a more interesting skill set up I'll start with him. Amara's skills look boring.

The first Borderlands, especially with the enhanced PC version not being turd-o-vision and having a goddamn FOV slider you don't need an alternate launcher for, is the best one.

The tone in the DLCs is peak Borderlands humor, the main game is pretty dry but the DLCs hit just that right mark.

Rolling the character that waits for Epic's exclusivity to end and gets the game extensively reviewed by day-1 retards, and depending on how that works out I might reroll into the character that buys the inevitable "complete" edition with all the DLC for a fraction of the original cost, or maybe the character that doesn't play a dumpster fire game; I played that character in pre-sequel and really loved it.

There was a rumour going around about being able to dismantle your guns and upgrade them that sounded cool as fuck. Apparently it was bullshit and it's looking like this game is going to have zero difference between the last two.

I still don't see how. There'd still be guns with a ton of part combinations, except instead of getting a cool legendary with a cool effect that comes with a magazine that holds six shots or a barrel that makes it fire ungodly slow, you could just pop those parts off and replace them with better parts, even from a vendor trash gun, and have a better gun.
These are singleplayer or cooperative games, customization would only be "broken" in something multiplayer.

No, I would go, "oh wow I can customize all these cool guns and make them even better, this is great" and shoot more people in the face.
There is no "purity" to the random gun generation, getting a gun with great parts is plenty exciting, but getting a gun with absolute shit parts just makes you have to go get another of that gun, which can be impossible that playthrough if it's a unique one.
