Excuse the cherry picking as there are some even new titles that did better on PC like DMCV, but often those the are the exceptions. Will Japanese games ever find a home in PC? Dark Souls games are pretty popular but over all PC sales in general seem to be significantly less than the console counter parts, even for western games. What is the reason for this?
Why don't PC players buy games?

Lots of those games came out on PC long after console release, so most of the people who really wanted the games just gave in and bought them on consoles. Also fightan pretty much never sells on PC, despite the push to get more on PC.
Beyond that, there are literally so many games on PC that the average PC game consumer has to narrow down their choices pretty roughly if they aren't pirating. Most consoles are loosing backwards compatibility, so you're basically stuck with the library of one console, PCs can host libraries spanning over decades, all available with a mouseclick. When you've got so many games, you're usually not buying brand new ones all the time.
tldr delayed releases and a plethora of choices = lower sales
>Lots of those games came out on PC long after console release
Not RE2
You posted this already.
That's why I didn't say "all of them". And as you'd notice for that particular mention, RE2's PC sales numbers are pretty close to PS4's, despite the game requiring a beefy PC to run well.
because pc doesnt have as many core gamers on it as consoles do. the vast majority of pc gamers play stuff like LoL, Dota, counter strike, Wow, facebook games, etc. the core games on PC are also universally the enthusiast demographic who are in it for performance and specs. Rest of the core gamers just play on console as theyre more casual and dont need bleeding edge graphics.
... and piracy. I forgot to mention that.

If we're talking about Jap-made games then PS4 simply has a much larger international base, and of course actual Japanese players. Also, PC ports of Jap games are all over the place in quality.
By virtue of Steam sales I'd wager that users have a much higher attach rate than console owners.
>hi I'm retarded, can I join in?
why are you posting this again after you got utterly blown the fuck out in the last thread?
Pasting my response from when you made this thread a few hours ago:
Less people have PCs capable of running modern games at acceptable framerate/resolution (mostly due to sustained misinformation about cost being the barrier to entry).
There are more games total on PC to choose from than console, so if you have a limited budget for games, you have more things competing for your money.
Many games launch as timed exclusive to console first, then get ported to PC (sometimes years later), so console had more time to accumulate sales. (the only releases in OP's pic that had simultaneous PC/console release are RE7, RE2make, and MGS5).
Also, OP, why are you showing UNIST for PC, but UNIEL for console? That's disingenuous
>trusting nu-steamspy after Valve destroyed it and Sergey started working for Epic
LTIERALLY worse than vgchartz
To add to the other posts PC has pretty much gone 90% digital. When I buy a game I want an install disc, not a download code for fucking Steam. I pretty much stopped buying PC games and just started pirating after the bullshit that was Fallout New Vegas. I take extreme issue with buying digital games unless they're heavily discounted.
>2000 games on PS4
>50000 games on Steam
Frankly, there's more to buy on PC, so it's reasonable to assume that the sales are spread around a bit more. The kind of gamers who are exclusively interested in the relatively mainstream games shown in the original post probably have consoles anyway.
>he ACTUALLY believes almost 7 million people bought RE7 on PS4
>50000 games on Steam
Correction: It's only 30000 when you filter by games only (excluding DLC, etc.).
it was a massive success. you browse the videogame section of the interent's cesspool; do you really think you and your tastes are representative of the vast majority of people?
>Why don't PC players buy games?
lol
MGS5 and UNIEL were given away as PS Plus games at one point.
1) PC gaming died by the early 2000's, with some dropplets onto the mid 2000's
2) Since then multiplat game development switched 100% to a console focus (since that's where the market is at) and PC merely gets console ports. Yes this includes all Crysis games after the first, Witcher after the first, Deus Ex reboots, etc etc
3) PC gaming consumers switched from gamers to memers who play the FOTM games like WoW, CS, DOTA, etc. There "people" usually stick to their skinnerbox simulator addiction and don't expand into other games that much.
4) Things have only gotten worse with the normalization of middleware cancer (storefronts/launchers like Steam, Uplay, and so on), Crowdfunded scams, Early Access cancer and Twitch culture (whose audience is 90% PC players). Seeing that there's no PC AAA since the early 2000's, no AA outside the few crowdfunded scams, and only indies, there's no hope of recovery.
t.Someone who grew during PC's golden age of gaming. Then my balls dropped and I realized Nippon games are vastly superior overall so I couldn't care less about PC, good riddance. I'll never ever watch a stream, download middleware or fund a kickstarter - at least I'm doing my part in improving PC gaming even though I'm not interested in ever touching it again aside from console emulation.
what are you talking about i everyone i know on steam loves to buy games and never even play them
>RE7 at 6.7 mil on PS4 as of April
>between 1 & 2 mil on PC as of May
>Capcom's official sales figures for RE7 was at 6.1 mil across all platforms as of the end of 2018
Okay, either somebody's lying or the game moved a disproportionate amount of units since the beginning of the year, nearly exclusively on PS4.
there are hundreds of other games to choose from, PC isn't restricted at all to AAA funded games
