Not OP but I put them angled together like that as well. Pretty much everyone i've asked with only 2 displays does it as well.
For myself I do it because it's easier for me to look left and right instead of directly forward then move to the side and back. It sounds odd and may be a little difficult to understand, and i'm aware of that, but it's just how it is for me. I've tried both and this is what works best (for me).
