In the two matches I had, I had solid 4-5f with akward which is typical for coast-to-coast but like 6f with stuttering with Red.

It'll probably be like UNIEL where a lot of people drop the game until the new version becomes available to them. It'd be too discouraging to play a previous version at the same time you see other people playing the fresh new one in the same lobby.

Depends on character. Generally they're good for getting the basics down for your characters confirms and such.

They're pretty good all things considered. Before the console patch added new moves for most characters those were the combos utilized by pros during the [st] arcade days.
If you're playing Enkidu or Wagner though you'll want to find new combos since they didn't weren't in the arcades so they're stuck with really basic stuff.

Japan got [st]'s console port in July 2017, the West got its console port in February 2018 while the PC version came in August.

I'm not sure exactly where UNIST's netcode's reputation comes from; it doesn't seem much worse than other delay-based PS4 fighters. Unless your opponent is Seth, then your delay instantly shoots up to 10f with constant stutters.

I think it's because you get cases of really shitty 6-10f desynchronization/stuttering more often than other games, the frame delay doesn't scale very well across long distances, and also the game itself fundamentally plays differently above 3f.

I didn't really. I'm awful at not flowcharting and often get blown up at locals by a couple dudes recently because I'm getting too predictable or mashing too erratically in my attempts to freeform, and they've played me enough to notice certain of my patterns.

I think just having a few blockstring pieces/variations and knowing the reset or frametrap points is probably enough. Often I'm being retarded going for super long "oppressive" pressure when the top Ories actually stay simple and basic most of the time and do a ton of resets off A buttons once they establish respect.

why is there no custom color options? I feel like this game would be perfect for it with how minimalist its use of color is for all the sprites

Mika can actually cheat her way through the fundamental UNI game in opening people up. She's fast as fuck and once you get people afraid of tick throws due to her dash speed and -1 A buttons for stagger, her 214 hitgrab blows up almost every single OS into a full combo. For pressure, 5[C] > 2/5A rebeat is like +7 and you can frametrap people with 623A after something like 3B or 66B, then use those as reset points after they stop poking out for fear of getting CH. 5B is also an excellent button with great speed and range for poking out or general use, basically comparable to Wagner's 5B which is godly. The DP followup to 623X is also air and projectile invuln so it blows up anyone upbacking.

Though people say she's an incomplete character, she really doesn't need too many buffs other than maybe damage, and she would become an absolute monster with just a few buffs. It's just that most Mikas mostly do netplay shenanigans and hit a wall instead of using her to her full strengths as a tick throwing, OS-blowing up terror when you play her using fundamentals.

You can buy UNIST for fairly cheap now. It goes on sale frequently too. The new version won't be out for over a year most likely.

Do you mean when your assault is blocked?I was using 2A up until maybe two months ago since it was easier, but 5B should be safe since it's 1 frame slower than your A moves. It leads into your optimal B confirms anyways.

Regular throws have a 14 frame tech window (roughly 233ms), which is perfectly react-able for many people in a vacuum, but if you've got other things to consider (eg. will they throw or reset pressure) it quickly leaves that realm.
In their case it's likely a read on a tick throw setup or just good OS usage, like said.

Average is around 250, so a large number of people should be able to react in 233.
Of course 18 frames is almost 300ms which is much easier.

It's really not easy because 18f is unreactable in fighting games. Those internet reaction tests showing you with 190ms reaction speed is not reflective of actual capability.

Yeah. It's more a matter of forcing yourself to use it (and mess up along the way) in actual matches.
That said, in general, I thin kyou should practice some Linne specific things in the lab. Your game sense is real solid and a lot better than me in many ways, outside of maybe too much mashing, but you need to get character specific stuff down.

Assault.j.C -> 5b -> 214B-C -> j.6B ->j.B ->j.C -> j.2B -> 2C -> 6CC(C)
Replace with 214B-A for Chaos, elt and Seth since it drops for them. 6B specifically is required since the proration is better.
or for the corner:
Assault.j.C -> 5b -> 214B-C -> j.2B ->2C ->214B-B ->6CCC
I probably made a mistake somewhere, so tell me if it doesn;t work the next time we play.
For 2c, you should just autopilot into 2C ->5C ->63214A. After that, it's up to you if you want to do the optimal microdash combo.

I actually already did. I think I have more hours in that part than anything else. I liked it a lot, especially one of the tunes that plays at the start of a few of them. I just wish it had more of a plot or something. Between this and arcade mode, Hilda spends a whole lot of time not becoming a re-birth. They just gotta get on with it at some point. Enkidu trying to hang out at a party was funny though.

I wonder if UNI's story will ever progress. Three more years until a decade has passed with nothing.

Enkidu is by far the most entertaining character in the entire thing.

Byakuya is irrelevant to what everyone else is doing, unless you want to say he's technically helping to find Zohar, and in spite of that his chronicle was a great standalone story. Not being central to the main plot wasnt a bad thing unless the character was lame to start (like nanase).

Mika was also a highlight, this is true.

Byakuya at least linked into the main "conflict" of chronicle mode which was Hilda and Ogre's territory fight, and adds to it. He's more relevant than Carmine or Phonon.

I love that Carmine has no real reason to be in the story. It's somehow endearing.
