Siren thread. The game is on sale on ps store for less than 4 euros, you have no excuse to at least give it a try if you want something very very different to what you're used to in survival horror games.
Siren
I don't own a PS4 but would contemplate getting one if they brought Siren 2 to PS4 as well.
Some of the secondary objectives can be a bit obscure and you pretty much have to resort to looking them up online. That's the only real gripe I have for this game.
Pretty good gem though. I already own it on ps4 but I played this on ps2 back in high school.
Fuck gun shibitos
I'm on the old man's with a rifle mission very early on, wtf do I do here? At the beginning there's already a sniper covering the only door you can come out, and if you shoot you atract like 4 shibitos
The one on the house? Use the enemy vision to evade him and go down the mine on the left. There is an enemy in there aswell I think.
i feel like i ruined this game for me by watching videos of the plot but it was so interesting and i dont have a ps2 anymore i couldn't stop
Like what the other user said, use the sight-jack to know where the sniper is looking; he turns a bit to his right every 5 or so seconds. Once your past him, get to the ground level and walk into the mine shaft
If you've made it this far, you've basically won. From inside the shaft, its very easy to shoot all the shibito; including our sniper friend.
I have it but it's both scary and difficult and that combination always keeps me at bay.
The appeal of the game for me is that you're a clunky robot who fights like shit so you're better off trying to sneak past everyone; its more like stealth puzzle game than, say, Silent Hill. There's a difference between watching a walkthrough than having to actually do it yourself; its really tense.
Looking through the eyes of the people you don't want to find you is the scariest shit to me.
Fuckin switching over to the perspective of a slobbering retard hauling ass at you is worse than any jumpscare.
Just wait till you get to the stage where you play as the little girl and you have avoid a family of shibito. They're dead but they still act alive; until they see you, that is. Its the best stage imo; a perfect vertical slice of what the game is all about.
I like the depressing vibe of the Siren games. You're running away from monsters in an alternate reality Japanese village. Blood is raining almost constantly from the sky. You've lost. Everyone is dying or turning into insect people. They're building a sky high nest for an alien god.
The priest plotline fucked me up.
Fuck it, I'm growing a pair and playing it.
It's about the gameplay honestly. Having some context won't really ruin it. Hell it might even enhance the experience knowing what's going on right away.
I always wondered if a Siren 2 Blood Curse 2 reimagining was ever in the works and how it would have looked like
I wonder what the former Team Silent has been doing at all lately. I know they moved on from SH to Siren, but now that Siren's pretty much over, I'm curious.
Thanks OP I've been meaning to play that
There is nothing more nerve wracking than killing an enemy and knowing that he will be up in 5 minutes
The original director's working on his Gravity Rush games. Not sure what the scenario writer's been doing.
>a taxidermist took the time to rip out a deer's asshole for this
As much as I love the game and its designer Keichiro Toyama, I would advise not to waste time playing(at least the first one), the game is very redundant and will challenge your patience harsh with the load of bullshit objectives and hidden items.
Just watch a longplay of it.
