It's only because the team behind it had so many new ideas that they decided to make Apocalypse its own game.

Also, while i'm glad they fixed the stats for iva, I think the partner system is just as broken as the original smirk mechanic in iv.
Apocalpyse has a way better map, and the dungeon/level design is also a lot better.

How did the best SMT games end up being 3DS exclusives?
The fact that they were a villain group is a problem in itself though.
I thought SMT was all about perspectives and that there are no objectively evil concepts, even if they are 'seen' as evil.
It would've been better if you could join them.
The other villains in SMT, regardless of whether they're allignment heads or just villains. They are all still villains.
At the end of SMT 2, no matter what alignment you pick, you still have to stop YHVH from nuking the planet.
The be honest the day time segment really ruin the pacing of the games. How that made them popular baffles me.
