Now that the dust has settled, what does Yea Forums think of this game?
That the should have waited a little longer to "remaster" it
it was a late gen game they wanted on the ps4 for previous 360 owners to buy. don't overthink it
not ape escape 4
boring
It's shit.
8/10. Yea Forums is full of contrarian weebs and teenagers, so it'd be loved on this board if it came out on Steam.
It's not a game
for 2013, it had current gen graphics, good audio, awesome VO, interesting environmental design, good story trajectory, interesting characters(Bill, Marlene, David etc.
It also has a cringey overall plot, combat was adequate just somewhat stiff, samey combat scenarios, idk, game has weird issues. Still though, it's one of the best game if that generation and one of the best games ever. It's crazy how much gaming suffered while Xbox was on top.
Decent atmosphere and setting, "okay" stealth mechanics with some clunky "boss fights" and scripted sequences.
Little details here and there made this a good game for me. There's a part where you walk into an old crumbling building that used to be a cafe. There's an old coffee machine, and Joel says, "Man, I REALLY miss coffee." The game just has a bunch of little moments like that which I appreciate.
Yes it's a movie game, story is the main focus. You won't enjoy it if movie games are not your thing.
"Muh feelz" storyfaggotry shit
AKA interactive novel (and a bad one at that since the plot and writing are garbage)
>current gen graphics
I think that's a testament to how little consoles have changed since the 7th gen, and we're already at the end of the 8th gen.
Go back to fucking /r/eddit, faggot.
not sure if bait, but ok, lol.
I've seen Destiny, New Order, Ground Zeroes, Titanfall, Phantom Pain running on 360 and PS3 and they look god awful, PS3 TLOU tops them, theres no Nuaghty Dog did something special with the limited hardware of the PS3, Dead Space 2 is another game I can think of that looks insanely well for its age on PS3, Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead look terrible, so I'd disagree with you, m8
garbage
Good gameplay and world building. Shit story and characters.
well it's a decent game I guess. Not boring for sure but yeah it leans more towards interactive cinema often times which may be a let down for some. what interests me the most is how they're gonna handle the sequel. Because from the trailers it looks like it's gonna be hellbent on muh stronk women feminazi shit. Also the first trailer is fucking bleak and gory as shit which I don't particulary like. Why? Because it feels fucking undeserved and out of nowhere. Also I don't understand why the fuck it takes them so fucking long to finish it. Holy shit how long's it been? I remember going to school when the first game came out, and I changed like 3 jobs already. Holy shit the time flies
>any tps naughty dog game
>good gameplay
Dont forget it also had annoying, buggy immersion breaking A.I.
one of the best games of this generation
I specifically bought a PS3 for TLOU, and maybe it was the fact I had just spent over $400 to play one game, and my first play through was on HARD, that the game's technical faults just didn't jut out to me as much my 1st time around, idk, my 1st run of this game is one of the very best gaming experiences I've had, but yes, it does have some cringey problems for sure.
its a great game but there are some parts that absolutelly needs to get better, joel is a nasty motherfucker that is not enjoyable to play with, also some AI is severly glitched specially the parts of being stealthy with the mushroom guys. Survival, graphics and story is great. 8/10
dude, Joel was the best, ); I hate he's basically not playable in Part II, it fucking sucks.
I liked like the weighty combat
it's okay. there's a lot of bullshit, but it also has some great survival mechanics as well. I wish it focused more on horror than an emotional story. I also hated how quickly the game throws away any sense of joel being conflicted in giving ellie up at the end. I get that giving the players a choice wasn't much of an option, but they could have had more of a build up to the choice. it kind of soured the ending for me even though I planned on making the same choice he did.
game that I liked at first, but grew to hate very deeply, after the dev forced his over the top social politics into the sequel.
the DLC seemed like a slap in the face. half+ of it is just set pieces for teen lesbo crush, and then they actually introduce a game mechanic I had been waiting for in the main game the entire time and they don't even take advantage of its potential (human vs infected vs player). felt not only hamfisted, but also lazy.
Thought it was okay. Not really my type of game, but don't regret playing it.
the story was pretty cliche zombie stuff.
