The rejoining only benefits Zodiark. A void world can't be rejoined. While this weakens her further, it also means Asciens wont get what they want. Even if the 1st is saved, all the asciens need to do is send in another one to stir shit up and try again

You don't lose the buff, only the person you used it on. Also it's not that hard to apply. Put the guy you want to use it on on focus and bind a key to focus target if you're not used to using the F keys to select teammates.

SMN's rotation shouldn't be 2 minutes long, when everyone else's are about 45 seconds or so. Should only need 1 set of aethercharges expended to get Bahamut primed up

It's not bad. It's just worse in its role than bard because bard is disgustingly OP with better raid buffs and better mitigation.

Overall amount of work relative to other jobs is way higher for the damage that classes like BRD can do with ease. The heat mechanic and it's ping dependency also makes it feel clunky.

it does about the same damage as Bard but is much harder to play and doesn't give the same level of utility. Overheat is also an unnecessarily obtuse mechanic

Yeah there's only a very few maiming sets that aren't completely terrible, and it's hard to compete with the artifacts. It's like Red Mage, you're hard-pressed to come up with a set as distinctly "dragoon" as the artifacts or specifically dragoon-oriented sets like Valerian Dragoon

Eh, dismantle is better 90% of the time. It's an additional reprisal so it can fit pretty much anywhere. Troubour relies not only on the bard playing the right song at the right time but has several less uses per fight. There are some later-level tools to try and force yourself into having desirable cards, but it ultimately still is RNG. You deal with it by realizing that the rest of the party exists to lick your boots, being the only job that can actively bestow buffs on party members.

I think you're reading far too much into it having a "justification" for being a group dungeon, because once you're in there all of the dialogue and cutscene following don't even acknowledge the other party members exist. The mobs in the dungeon only notice the WoL, even the friendly dialogue doesn't make mention of the party as a whole. And of course, Zenos and the following primal fight is treated as wholly 1v1.

SCH's state at the start of Stormblood was pitiful. Adlo cost twice as much as Cure II and had the same effective potency, Indom and Lustrate were nerfed relatively, and Excogitation got a huge boost. They had to burn a lot of MP other healers didn't to get the same effective.

After the changes and with gear, as scholars scale with crit hit must moreso than AST or WHM, scholars can usually just get away with Aethercharge healing which effectively gives Scholar infinite MP for dps

I did that in orbonne. On Agrias, took aggro right before thunder slash, tried to dump aggro but turns out once you're marked, it'll follow you. I was playing DRG

Resetting your ninjitsu CD is super useful since it lets you put on Huton, then Hide while the tank pulls and cancel it right away so you can cast another ninjitsu with the reset. Every single Ninja player with an IQ over room temperature does this.

With the Warriors of Darkness they expressed an attempt to chain Calamities together ASAP so that they could rejoin the shards much more quickly than planned. A Calamity is a weakening of dimensional walls separating the shards, and they were trying to save their world by rejoining it (and merging their Lifestreams as a result) before it had a chance to be lost to light. They aren't rejoined, but they are brought closer together.

That's literally not how protect works you mong. It's not a flat "%" mitigation, it scales with your defence stats, which means it's weaker in Sastasha and stronger at level 70 (same applies to gear). It doesn't calculate to exact 15%.

Fire 3 to get the astral buff then fire 1 all the way because you can cast it more times than fire 3 and the cast time is shorter. Blizzard 3 when out of mana and then Fire 3 again to get the astral buff.

Back when I started playing the game in 2014 or whenever it was, before Heavensward, I played with a couple friends and did every single sidequest I came across as I played through the MSQ. Also spent time doing other things. Also long queues sometimes because DPS.

Some real basketcases

Marauder with all the cross-class buffs was a monster in PvP due to fucking Raging Strikes existing along with Blood for Blood and Internal Release, plus large chunks of the class's functionality not being locked behind the job stone yet.

unironically ninja's job-fantasy lies in its ninjutsu, not trick attack. with hanzo using the unknown combinations of the fourth mudra and other jobs getting radical redesigns i can see them scrapping trick in favor of the fourth mudra, maybe rebinding the vulnerability-up debuff to some other ninjutsu or a four mudra combination, and giving us more ninjutsu tools to play around with

Switching between ice and fire gets better once you have Fire/Blizzard 3, until then it's kinda annoying

this is another issue they need to address. Fire 1-4 have the wrong names. And no, Fire, Fira, Firaga and Firaja aren't going to fix it.

Needs to be Fire, Blast (Fire 2), Meltdown (Fire 3) and something else for Fire 4. I think Blast feels right for a name for an aoe ability, and Meltdown works for Fire 3 as the FF8 version increased damage taken by the target

if the game is to be 'entry level mmo player friendly', the names of abilities need to be intuitive so players can figure out rotations without having to perform them

BLM sucks untill you get enochian at lvl 60 (I think?) because then you get acess to Fire 4/Blizzard 4 and it's actually engaging trying to mantain the enochian buff up while squeezing your most powerful spells. The leveling really sucks and there's nothing you can do about it because you don't have any combos and 99% of the time you'll be spamming fire 1.
Honestly I found out that RDM became boring after a little while because the rotation is braindead, even though some people may argue that optimizing RDM isn't that simple. SMN while it was my least favourite of the 3 became my favourite because of bahamut and the mobility even though its clunky as fuck.

Fuma benefits from NIN's slashing debuff and physical damage up traits, it's so close to raiton's potency that it really isn't worth it if it'll even slightly clip your gcd.
