Battle system

People say its like kingdom hearts 2, some others like xenoblade something, but personally never played either of those.
Is it good? is it bad? i like what i saw so far

its garbage. what a shitload of fuck

Form your own opinion you fag

i can't because ive never played either of those games, and i have my own opinion: "i like what i saw so far"

Hard to say until there's a consolidated, focused look at it. We haven't even seen magic or summons.

We've barely seen shit so far so it's all speculation at this point. Kingdom Hearts 2 is well regarded so that's a favorable comparison, but we just don't know yet.

Only red flag for me based on the trailer is that enemies don't seem to react to getting hit at all.

Dude it was just a one minute trailer
Wait for E3

>Only red flag for me based on the trailer is that enemies don't seem to react to getting hit at all.
maybe its not about stunlocking enemies, maybe its about reading the enemies movement and you react to him

It will only be like KH2 in an artistic and general sense, because they wont add broken magic spells, invincibility frames out the whazoo and aerial combat in the remake which are the defining characteristics of KH2. I can see why someone would say Xenoblade and I would go as far to say its going to be a faster Xenoblade

I CAN'T DAMMIT

Better than the original "gameplay". DVD menus as games aren't fun, so I'm excited to get to experience this story without such shitty gameplay.

I'm not saying you should be able to stunlock them, but there's no feed back at all from them. It's unsatisfying and makes it unclear whether or not you've hit them.

>wait for e3
Fucking Kek
Imagine believing they’d show more of this at any point before next fucking year

Didnt the trailer said "more in june", shitposter-kun?
Shitposter-kun, are you okay?

Should I get hyped for the Remake bros?!

end yourself nostalgia nigger

Since when is FF10 and Persona 5 nostalgia?

Its still going to be an RPG and not an action game. The gameplay is going to be about getting your numbers to be big and strong but instead of having to wait too long to perform basic actions, its going to be faster and rely on a counter action ratio of gameplay. If you played KH games you know what it is:

>enemy turn to do an action
>you use defensive move (block or not get hit)
>you now have your turn to make an action until the enemy starts their attack animations

The only x factor is going to be the ability to control your party members instead of just relying on one character, which admittedly can be a pretty big deal

And if you hate KH gameplay? So Square just took their most wanted game, and made it FF7: KH edition? And everyone is just expected to buy it regardless of what they liked about the older game? Why can't Square make the right choices that would make EVERYONE happy?

Definitely a monkey's paw.
>"I wish to control all of my party members, not just one"
>"Wish granted, it is now a ARPG"

>make EVERYONE happy?
What world are you living in, user?

I may be retarded but it looks exactly like XV's battle system to me. With limit breaks thrown in, since they've shown Cloud's first limit break at one point.

A parallel world where the company released a turn based action RPG that made everyone happy.

>a turn based action RPG
k

This is copy paste from 2017 leak
>The battle system will feature an ATB turn-based system like the original "superimposed" on an action combat like KH's one. In more detail: you can freely move around, jump, attack and defend too, all in real time like in any action game; meanwhile, however, you have a time gauge that fills as time goes on like a classic ATB bar. When the bar is full, a command menu pops up where you can select the desired commands like Magic, Enemy Skill, Summon, etc. like in the original, but without interrupting the flow of battle. And since every character has its own time gauge, even while constantly being in control of a single character, you can easily input commands for the others too when their gauge is full (you can still switch between characters, however). This system has been called "Action Turn Battle" and, if it's well received, is planned to become the "signature" combat for every future mainline FF from now on (just like the original ATB was from the older entries), with only some slight variations from title to title.

>Why can't Square make the right choices that would make EVERYONE happy
Not possible

see

except it can be done

I like it but it definitely won't please everyone
