There is not a single western country that has ever made a good game

But the country is the 3rd largest powerhouse in the game industry along with the US and Japan.

Ubisoft alone is bigger than all these studios combined and most of the best European game nowadays are not even coming from this kind of studios anyway. Europe can't compete with Japan and the US as AAA games maker.
Their future is in the indi or middle budget games for now.
