ive always wanted a battle system that features changing battle style in the middle of battles. Like, light or strong battle stance for cloud, you change it with an L or R (to avoid using one of the main four buttons), and depending on the battle stance you do light attacks or heavy attacks with square.
Heavy attack do more damage, pierces some armor but its slower. Light attacks are weaker but more criticals and fast
Enemies would have resistance to light or heavy attacks, and some enemies are faster than the others so they could stagger you if you try a heavy attack on fast enemies and you wont do good damage to slow and strong enemies with light attacks
