Characters like Demon Goddess Putine when put into support can regulate your charge impact, which is good for stronger characters like Ultra Instinct Goku or Evil Saiyan Cumber who have stupid fast charge impacts. Or when you pair up certain characters for a unit that can either charge your hero energy, regain health, let your team do immediate supers or even do a special team attack. You can't just put a team of random strong characters together and expect to win all the time, you will get your ass kicked. It's all about min-maxing and team synergy.

Well, there's the F2P INT Raditz, when his event comes back, farm him up and rainbow him.
There's also the EZA STR Broly, you can get him with a red stone in the anniversary.
Also, PHY Broly will be coming back around October or November in the AGL Fusion Zamasu banner, so you have a second chance to get him, plus it's a much better banner than the one he debuted in, you definitely want to save for that one.

But yeah, without an AoE unit the WT is insufferable.
What you can do in the meantime, is having a lead that affects PHY Broly or LR Broly, and pick one as a friend when you play the WT.
You won't have an AoE unit in all rotations, but it's something.
Right now, the best lead would be a Pure Saiyans one, like SSBE Vegeta or the Vegeta that transforms multiple times.

Although he's not the hardest hitter, he does super attack twice, which ensures that no one survives.
Try getting a lead for him, like SSBE Vegeta, or Ful Power SSJ4 Goku, or PHY Broly himself so you can maximize it, but even then it's not necessary, just put him as a lead, bring in orb changes and support units to ensure he super attacks, and bring in babas and ghost ushers to prevent the enemy from attacking.
That's how you farm the WT at 30x.

Just remember to use ghost ushers, even one simple hit could take down most of your health, and a super attack will definitely kill.

Never played FighterZ, but do they actually do alternate outfits for the characters? I mean, between the movies, Super and GT, 18 would have a bunch of outfits. Just Goku and Piccolo in the driving episode filler outfits would also be neat, along with Vegeta and his Badman shirt. Shit sells itself, even ignoring the joke outfits; just having Goku with his various dogis/ through Z/Super/GT and Vegeta's battle armor/casual clothes would be cool, though if they did go that route it would be better to have the player 'earn' the additional outfits instead of just selling it as skins.

No, the only thing is pig tail and short hair Videl. The game had characters in cutscenes with different outfits, like 18, but never bothered to make them in-game.
They didnt bother to add Hyperbolic Timechamber either, just one random arena they made for the game months ago

They have a slight alternate costume for Videl, you can choose between short hair and pigtails, but outside of that you don't get other costumes. I think it's something to do with the way they animate the characters that makes alternate costumes difficult to actually implement, at least I'm sure I've seen that said in one of these threads before.
