Games where difficulty makes both you and enemies have less health and deal more damage, to the point where you kill them in like two hits but they also kill you in two hits on max difficulty.
Actually quite enjoyable with the tension of dying in two hits but the fun of killing enemies fast, and a boring chore on lower difficulties when every enemy is a bullet sponge and you never die.
