They value presentation over gameplay to an excess.

If i wanted to watch a movie i would have paid the $15 to go to the theater.
I dont want to spend $60 for a movie.

fuck off tranny

Movies aren't games.

I could pirate a competent movie for less. Why try to be a movie when no game comes close to any decent movie?

They're not games

Games have more to offer than movies especially given the movie games we've had

This.

The primary appeal of vidya is user interaction. Cinematic games minimize interaction into QTEs and hallways.

I have no problem with well made cut scenes or games that want to have a cinematic way of showing the story, the main problem is that they all sacrifice good gameplay to do so. An excellent movie game with trash game-play is worthless, a game with terrible cinematic features but with amazing gameplay will always be better. Honestly 10 out of 10 gameplay can help forgive any other flaws a game has. Also how long until HE arrives?

OP might be shitposting but I actually do wonder what exactly counts as a "movie games" here? I played Uncharted and it was mostly a third person shooter with platforming and puzzles but Its shat on for being a movie game some reason.

The story and visual presentation are taking precedence over interesting gameplay mechanics and design decisions, it gets worse when those kinds of games are presented as "the best" in gaming when they don't even push the interactive aspect of it further.

I don't like forced cutscenes or watching cinematics. If I wanted to I'd turn the game off and just watch a movie.

Which did you enjoy more? 100s of 50 second fights followed by unimpressive bosses after Kamoshida or the dating sim?

No use trying to hide your power level, horsefuckers. The merely fact that you KNOW where this character comes from gives you away.

its simple....when something badass is happeneing and you're not in control, its a movie game.

i want to play game

They're not games.

MOVIE GAME BAD
JAPANESE VISUAL NOVEL GOOD

Yea Forums is just full of contrarian weebs. Movie games are top comfy and kino, literally even.

Nobody gives a fuck about MLP anymore, fuckwad.
I stopped watching with S5 and the fandom is dead. I don't even know why the MLP rule is still a thing. It's not 2011 anymore, the meme is long dead.

Because mlp autists are spammy faggots
They'd flood every board if that rule was lifted

yeah a funny meme that will last a week until they get bored of it.
Like I said, the fandom is dead and MLP is on its last season at last. No one cares

>If you dislike x then you're also a y loving faggot
Both are fucking garbage. Also VNs are even less of a game than movie games. The only redeeming quality of VNs is the hentai which movie games will never get into.

t. seething horsefucker

You'll always be a degenerate, don't ever forget about this.

Where's Lee?

Well if no one cares then there's also no reason to remove the rule.
