I want to buy Hitman 2 but I have no idea what to actually buy. I just want all the actual content (locations and missions) but no retarded dlc bullshit like gun skins and shit like that.
Do I buy the game and DLC pass? Individual expansions? The steam page is confusing as shit and I have no idea what I'm getting.

Hitman is my favourite vidya franchise so of course I care. The old games had some interesting backstories behind them but nu-IO threw all that away and replaced the old canon with a literal shit backstory that was first shown in a shitty comic tie in they released in 2017. I hated that comic and now it's made its way to the main series so I'm a bit pissed off.
Nu-Hitman has some top-tier world building. I like how every mission is foreshadowed in some way in a previous one.

After Season 3, I want the plot to move away from what happened in the Asylum. Literally every game in the series except SA and Absolution has been about Ortmeyer and his research in some form.

If we assume that they're numbered by order of production, I'd assume 6 was a failed prototype because he had hair. Then Ort-Meyer did another 40 specimens just to remove hair (along with any other traces like fingerprints) and got 47

An easy example is the gun animation. The handgun just appears and vanishes out of 47's hand on command, with no attempt to make it look like he's hiding it. I remember Blood Money doing it much better, with 47 reaching inside of his suit to pick it up.

If you look at the roadmap, the speciali assignments say "mission". If it were an entirely new level, it would be featured at the top like The Bank and The Resort. They have so far listed new escalations and featured contracts as separate from the main featured roadmap, so it is very very safe to assume the the special assignments are remix missions ala the Bonus Missions from 2016, especially since the Silver version owner get them and only the Gold version owners get the brand new locations.

Correction: the silver version owners get all the content for the first half of the year and the gold version owners get content for the rest of the year.
Either way, the special assignments are going to be remixed maps.

It works for them, I personally don't like the model at all, but I've seen people actually defending it, and I fully expect things to be the same way in Hitman 3.

If it was up to me I would discard the whole always-online deal altogether, but the unlock DLC seems like a believable course of action.

It also has the advantage of padding the game length (H2 only offers five full fledged locations, after all, yet the legacy maps made no one complain about it), and it allows them to bully customers into buying early through legacy ETs once again.

I really like the Midnight Suit or whatever it's called for Whittleton Creek. I love the default Whittleton Creek suit, but it feels a little overly fancy for just walking around a quiet suburb. The all black suit with no tie and the top of the shirt unbuttoned is super cas.

The briefing gives away that you can go to the announcer's booth for a clean shot. So you knock out both announcers and wait there to take the shot then dip. Easy SnA.
