Yea Forums introduced me to competitive Korean Starcraft. I missed the Star Invitational, which I beliee was the first thing Tasteless casted in Korea, but I saw all three seasons of the Avertec Intel-Classic.
The whole concept of "e-sports" was novel to me. The idea that Koreans of all people were playing Starcraft and putting it on tv and filling up stadiums? That was nuts. And there was an English caster so it was so easy to get into.
I ducked out after GOMTV moved to SC2, since I never cared for that game. Then in 2016, I saw a random Yea Forums thread talking about the return of BW. Tasteless was accompanied by some pasty nerd guy I never saw. ("Tastosis" started with SC2, Nick had multiple partners before). I grew to love Artosis too.
Now we're 6 seasons into ASL, and two into KSL. My god it's been three years since the return, and 12 since I started watching.

Carriers are just floating factories for interceptors. When they return they get repaired or replaced.
2-1 is a powerful upgrade to unupgraded Carriers. I think he literally just killed all the interceptors and there was only a trickle that rain was desperately trying to use to fight with as they were being made.
Rain lost too many probes and didn't kill any SCVs. Also fighting uphill against the tanks was not very smart.

Generally it is considered an "even" game if protoss is 1 base ahead of terran.
But in this game last got his 2nd up at the same time as Rain, and his 3rd was not much later than Rain's.
Rain invested a lot in carrier tech while all of Last's income went directly into army (and upgrades), so Last's army was stronger.
The big engagement on the hill also worked unbelievably well in Last's favor. He only had like 6 vults and 3 gollies who held off 12+ speedlots. If those speedlots managed to melee the tanks it wouldve been a whole different story.

I've beaten the campaign, same with warcraft 3. But I'm horrible at multiplayer, as soon as i have to juggle microing my units and doing shit back in my base i get flustered and forget stuff. I get too focused on microing my units and forget my production. I know if i bothered to stick at it i would get over the hump but i can't be bothered devoting the time to actually getting good.

I know the units, I know the basics of micro(during a lan I had friends take the lords name in vain when they were taken out and watched my micro, so my apm is probably good for casuals) and macro, but I have no real strats
If I got remastered and laddered I'd have a humiliating experience.
I only got through the single player as a kid because I used cheats.
I played my nephew and the score screen told me my APM was 35.

they don't. you need 5-10 hydras to kill a single archon. Also, why are the fuck is the archon's splash damage harmless to protoss units, while every other units splash hurts its own units?

eh, lurker spines are their own category. They're not the same. I looked it up, Archons, Valks, Corsairs and Reavers only hit enemies, while Infested terrans, tanks, lurkers and spider mines hit anybody.
