Everyone seems to have a different way of playing this game.

If playing for kills just jump off into hot zones where there are a lot of people. It'll be fast so you may only get one kill... rinse and repeat this until you understand how to kill off people faster than others.

Side note, you get less XP for killing compared to staying alive longer.

If you're looking to gain more xp, simply drop to an area where no one else is dropping, stay on the edge of the map/ring, avoid engaging the enemy until you made it to 2nd place and then roll the dice. By this time you either get lucky with looting corpses with better gear or you barely found anything worthwhile in which case you'll probably be taken out in seconds and make last place with more XP than most others.

So it boils down to do you care about gaining XP or your kill count? Oh and don't beat yourself up too bad if you feel horrible after everything else because the amount of people hacking this game is one of their bigger challenges that they've been facing. I sincerely doubt it's getting better.

Pretty much this, if you're lucky enough to survive to the final three it's basically a 25-50% chance that one of the final squads are cheating and will spinbot headshot you with a kraber. Or at the least just have perfect knowledge of where you are with their wallhacks.

Apex is actually fun specifically because of what you are bitching about. Drop in skulltown, get in immediate firefights. If you win you are kitted up and can start sweeping the rest of the map. If you lose it was like five minutes of your time tops.

V is hot fucking garbage. They’ve gone all in on their pre-tailored match design so most maps feel like they have an intended outcome. There’s not a lot of room for strategy, you do the thing the devs wanted you to do until the match ends how they wanted it to end. It really has had all of the soul ripped out of it.
