Sensible buffs for low tiers. Sensible nerfs to top tiers. Sensible adjustments everywhere. But I'm not holding my breath too much.

Attached: 1556082738878.jpg (900x900, 183K)

I want my main to be broken so I can win without putting any work into improving.

PC room is up.
KW: pclobby

Reminder that UNICLR will not fix UNIEL or UNIST's shitty netcode.

>That fucking Wagner force function armoring through a multihit
It's a bit funny to see that happening each time, though.

Is it possible to tk if you're using a keyboard?

Maybe it's just because everyone in the lobby has good internet and I only play here, but I've never had too much trouble with it. It's rare that it goes to 5 frames and higher for me. I blame wifitards for any problems I have besides the rare room crashes.

For some reason I thought I was free when I cleared the shield. Only to get counter hit before I got the chance to block because it was a dp

Attached: 1459915907009.jpg (199x250, 5K)

Hitbox makes it easier to do tks from what I heard so I assume keyboard should make it easier too.

Sion Eltnam JAV code?

It is if you stop using wasd
>Had to rewrite entire muscle memory just to try out Linne

Even then 5f is completely different than playing the game in person. 3f is like the bleeding edge of where some things become near unreactable.

Attached: cat_bone_juice.png (736x736, 509K)

Air unblockable Hyde 214x and maybe 2B not being so shit.
July 20th, literally the 2nd anniversary since console release.

Doable, but it can be tricky to get used to the movement.
>t. still struggling to use DP motions with WASD format.

RAGE is the correct layout for directional inputs
Some people swear by Space to jump but they're wrong

>Eltnam
alright let's clarify something
Is the name same in Japanese and it's just a different localization or did they change her name for some reason

>out galaxybrained myself and did a 41236C after Thanatos without reacting to anything
Well okay.

Her name was Sion Eltnam Atlasia.
As a joke since this isn't melty blood, it's just Eltnum now.

I use space for D

ded

It's エルトナム in both Melty Blood and UNI, yes

So it wasn't just me?

>disconnected from the host
Hnnnngggg. Saved from a beating by Dia I suppoose though, hahaha.

I can rehost but I'm on a timer so someone will have to host after me.

Also just got kicked from the lobby and can't even get back onto the network. Oh come the fuck on.

Okay, so it's just a localization thing. I thought it was weird they didn't change Akatsuki's name

Idk what happened. Should i rehost

And it's up! I'll be good til 10:45 PST

what are the rules for the 2nd tourney? I was given a brilliant idea recently, randomized teams. People would join and be put in randomized teams of 3-4 people then run a standard team tourney format.

Attached: 1502865270841.jpg (1199x799, 317K)

Sure why not. Lobby explosions are nothing out of the ordinary

That was a stylish finish, Melk. Damn.

Pass is vee

Nevermind, looks like Sai made a lobby

Now there are two lobbies
Idk if you guys wanna all move to one or just have two smaller ones

Sure, but if it does again you might wanna let someone else host

I should also clarify that we could limit the number of purple and red squares on any given team to 1-2 similair to last years random select tourney.

That's more or less what me and merk were planning. Random draws to form teams with maybe a limit on purple squares per team. We can either run 3 teams or just make it simple and make it two big ones.

bout to bool out in ranked with my subs and throw a bunch of games to get knocked out of red then

Attached: 1542238003299.png (259x335, 89K)

>literally everyone is 1 bar
Fuck am I the only WC person in this lobby

Sorry Sai, going to jump over to reblade's lobby. Also, holy shit, that's the highest percentage of 3+ bars I've seen in these lobbies.

If everyone else is down to move, I'll head over there.

You cool with that Beatie and Lamp?

2 big teams sounds like a plan, I'm just a little worried since the last two team tourney's I was in, my team lost. Not trying to let it become a three-peat.

I don't mind

No problem, haha.

That's my struggle with these lobbies. I hate it.

I just hope these 1 bars won’t be too bad

Everyone who laughed me out of unist threads saying it was never coming to switch can eat my fucking ass.
CL-R will have dual audio. Screencap this

Attached: 1541751653871.png (188x149, 37K)

deska here, is the PC lobby giving anyone trouble in terms of connections?

I have 1 bar with redblade and it felt alright to me getting all my moves out when I played against him. Not sure about his end.

Unless I'm mistaken, I'm sure that the horrendous Nintendo online would make any sort of netplay even more unbearable.

Actually, looks like it's the same with Dia and the match I played with him seemed to flow well enough.

>all these timeouts
Maybe we should stick to that second lobby

I wonder if the servers are getting flooded with players in general due to the news and so it's hard to sustain it or something.

Now have fun having anyone to play it with or it having a decent online.
>dual audio
Now you can just fuck off for real. I don't give a shit about the switch but the last thing I want FB to waste their money is a fucking dub

>keep getting kicked from the lobby
Maybe it's the Hollow Night and people are playing thanks to the leak.

First the sale
Now this

I hope Seth remains relatively unchanged but that's mainly because I finally am able to do his bnbs consistently and I don't wanna have to relearn them.

I double dip on every fighting game that comes on switch for the sake of portability. BBCF, MK11, SF30th. Everything I can get my hands on, honestly.

ArcSys must be publishing it and there's already dual audio in Cross Tag. The work is already done.

The first time the room exploded it gave me error messages just trying to reconnect to the network at first so that could be it.

Attached: 1547608270472.png (279x601, 112K)

>ArcSys must be publishing it and there's already dual audio in Cross Tag. The work is already done.
>Publisher willing to fork over costs for all voice overs including arcade mode and the 10 hour VN
Yeah, call me skeptical but I don't think they'd fund them this hard

>get connection timeouts on PS
>get timed out on PC
the winning move is just to lab clearly

Attached: fujithink.png (224x561, 123K)

What region are you for PC?

tfw it's finally happened, Yuzu has persuaded me switch to a more comfy stick holding position after 6 months...

It's really only a problem for Smash Bros IMO. Most other games I've played online with it have worked pretty smoothly whether it be 1st party (MK8D, ARMS, Splatoon 2) or 3rd party (SF 30th, BBTAG, MHGU).

what'd you switch from and to?

After careful consideration, the new version can be specified as CLR or Minus R or whatever, but I'm probably just gonna go back to calling it UNI. Shits too long and I don't wanna call it UNICLR or unclear or whatever

Attached: Under-Night-In-Birth-Exe-Late-cl-r-Taiwan_05-09-19.jpg (1280x640, 61K)

It's only a problem on Smash and Splatoon.

Third party games ironically run pretty smooth.

isn't one of the bigger issues is lack of ethernet port?

UNCLR

There is absolutely no chance of that happening.

Ah. That's not an issue for me.
Only because I get opened up easier than a can of Pringles. ;_;

His BnBs will not be changed. It'll be damage values and frame data stuff

iktf

Attached: 1544511466577.png (394x735, 250K)

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as CLR, is in fact, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late [cl-r], or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, UNI minus R. CLR is not an game unto itself, but rather another paid DLC component of a fully functioning UNI game made useful by additional characters, new story and balance changes comprising a full game as defined by the FGC.

Hopefully this one is still up by the time I get finished with my errand.

GGs PS Lobby 1. It's been a blast and I'm looking forward to more matches as we head towards the new version release!

Attached: 1551682567278.png (1451x2048, 643K)

We can all hope it's something [st] owners can get without too much issue or money

Actually, you should just take my spot if you're by yourself m8. Have fun with it!

That was a pretty spicy combo there dia

A weird butchered amalgamation of the "wine" and holding a cup making a C shape, to just the C shape. I had my pinky as a sole finger between the stick, and at this point it feels like the strain on it is too much after around 2 hours of play.

Can't wait for new key art.
Also, I'm going to either keep calling it UNI or UNI-C (see)

Congrats on yellow Blue

The point is that better netcode exists in other games and FB refuses to upgrade

>Dream: The new unga
>Hopes: Buff throw, Dash, make j.236x an overhead, 66B not throw punishable, fix 214X in general, buff 2C in general, 7 frame 2B and a low, improved range.
>Expected: Dash buff, Throw buff, 214X buff, overall to become mid tier.

Attached: 1519803711897.png (302x431, 215K)

>FB refuses to upgrade
Rather can't afford to upgrade and Arcsys doesn't want to

Is an enkidufag even playing right now?

Also under hopes, invincible meterless reversal

Works on their island

Attached: Japanese_Devs.jpg (640x480, 55K)

Waifu, those backdash-forward dashes are pretty sick. Color me impressed.

Button dash shimmy with Akat seems pretty simple to do imo

I think the application of it is what impressed me. Admittedly, I'm still an unskilled noob, so seeing people weave back and forth in footsies ranges of their opponent is pretty neat.

I want his EX counter to not suck, if I use 100 meter to counter your fucking whip from a screen away I expect to be able to flay you like a fucking ragdoll

Sorry about that. Spilled some water everywhere and had to panic just in case I had to save my keyboard.

Where the hurtboxes at

Also ggs lamp ‘n blue I’m out

ggs

Gonna call it a bit early tonight GGs PC lobby

Think I'll check out the other lobby for a bit since this one seems to be all ECers and redblade is afk at the moment. ggs for now lobby 1

GGs.

False alarm. Nothing got on it, though I was definitely panicking.

GGs. I gotta leave soon too.

>Lamp and Blue are both afk too
Well okay, I'll just take a little break in general.

I am interested in jumping into UNI with cl-r, but I heard my CTB main, Vatista, is a charge character. If they could make her not, that'd be great

Yeah no get fucked

Stay in cross tag please

We're both back in case you still want to join

I heard they're porting over CTB's combo system so she should play the same.

>Vatista but not a charge character
that sounds terrifying

lol does vatista really not have charges in tag?

Attached: 1551411832025.png (2048x2048, 1.59M)

God I'm shit I need to stop mashing lol
GGs Wagner

In exchange for no gems, you get 214 and 236 inputs.
And a two button flashkick

Nobody does. Mitsuru didn't, and I don't know if Nine the Phantom was a charge character in BB, but she's not one in CTB

>And a two button flashkick
That's terrifying to imagine.

She wasn't.

GGs PC dudes. Wagner's actually pretty fun. I was planning on going back to Vat practice but I think I'll learn Wag proper instead. Her 5B is one hell of a poke.
Crosstag Vat doesn't play anything like UNI Vat. She's practically a brand new character.
GGs my man.

Attached: 1534742892410.jpg (1287x1050, 111K)

GGs.

I highly doubt that. CTB had like 2, arguably 3 attack buttons and no inputs more complex than quarter circle.

Not really. Everyone has a 2 button reversal which takes health to use, scales horribly if you confirm off it (usually needing to call assist preemtively) and if it's blocked, you can't burst the punish combo and will probably die assuming the opponent knows the good route

Since when do DPs cost health in Cross Tag?

They don't. He's thinking P4A
They do result inburstable counters though.

If I am hosting and I exit on the PC, will it transfer over to a different person or will the room crash?

So who would we expect on the key art?
UNIEL in the arcade got Chaos up front
UNIST arcade poster got Phonon, Byak, and Nanase the latter two were new to the uniel console release
Between Londrekia, new character #2, obligatory Hyde and Linne, Enkidu, Wagner, and Mika this things gonna look cluttered. Almost enough for a new cover art

The latter

Yeah I was thinking of P4A. Think I got them mixed up cuz they do only red life damage on hit.

ggs both PSN and PC. Wanted to get a few rounds on PC too before bed. I'm actually awake tonight and playing decently, but I promised myself I would get work done this week.
Thanks for stopping by, Redblade. I'll have to catch you at the next monthly.
It'll shut it down completely.

Is there online on P4A arcade leak thing on pc?

Whats the difference between st and not st? Not st is older and has some less characters but what else? I tried it but didnt know who to play as

Wait what did I miss? I just woke up the lobby thread's started by redblade and there's another thread talking about uni crtl+r or some shit.

Attached: 1532110351555.jpg (360x393, 18K)

Ah. That's annoying. I'll be closing the room in 8 minutes for the PC lobby, then. Someone will need to open a new PC lobby.

Leaks on a new version of under night

My internet is fucked and i'm online through mobile hotspot
There's a leak for a new update/DLC/game, no official word yet.

UNCLR

UNIEL has 4 less characters, no story mode, no mission mode, no tutorial.

Oh and it's about Londrekia to nobody's surprise if the intro blurb and blue coloration didn't clue you in.

Oh shit, nice. Maybe mika will get a vorpal trait.

That's too much change to wake up to at once. I assume you gave your ISP an earful sometime after last night's lobby?

Attached: 1539773119914.gif (320x180, 1.9M)

what is the difference between counter and high counter

High counter is ch'ing them out of a special
There is no functional difference

As a byak player I want:
66c to have an upclose hitbox as it comes out and to be even one frame less negative than it's current -9
2a to either be one frame faster or be a low
Some kind of air super, preferably one that is safe or plus on block
623x feint becomes CS cancelable
Improve the proration on his IW

Do you think this reasonable, fellow unist players?

Attached: index.png (225x225, 8K)

A lot of the old characters have new tools so their routing has changed a lot too, along with some mechanic changes such as CVO. Game's also more balanced overall..

Fuck you, spider boy, never trust a spider, typical spider.

Did so but xfinity is retarded so it might take a couple days to completely fix. Did upgrade my service so we should be good, as soon as it's up and working again.

GGs pc lobby, gotta get some work done for now. Yuzu is going to haunt me for a while.

GGs

>Did upgrade my service
you got baited and punished by c*mc*st

>Improve the proration on his IW
what does this mean as in what did he mean by this

""""""""""""Double my speed""""""""""""""", they said.
If it's anything less than I'll do what must be done

ggs everyone, going to sleep early tonight

Double their speed into the grave hippie

Attached: 1520571127130.jpg (400x400, 87K)

Don't worry. The stutters will now travel twice as quickly, happening every 5 seconds instead.

What did the spider boy ever do to you, my friend?

IWs are the half circle forward+D aka 200% supers you can do in this game. Proration is the percentage scaling that results in the minimum damage a move can do during a combo. I feel that byak's IW proration is particularly low, being only a couple hundred better than simply using his 236c. It's not as pathetic as nanase's IW proration, but still pretty ass when people like seth and akatsuki are running around.

What DL/UL speeds did you get?

>What did the character that laughs at me every other voice line do to me?

GG PC Lobbyists. Hopefully you guys got some good games under your belts.

Attached: chesto-man.png (1000x1900, 480K)

Double whatever I was getting before.

Did redblade pass out again?

must be caught in a web

>redblade's return is heralded by another drunk blackout
It keeps happening!

I hope it's at least 100 mbps because this game's netcode is too crappy for much less than that.

Do new combo in training mode, no problem. Do new combo in real matches, UHHH WHAT BUTTONS DO I PRESS AGAIN? WHAT'S THE TIMING FOR THIS? DURRRRR...

still good though

>that pancake dude a couple months ago was actually one of the best seths in socal pretending to be retarded

twitch.tv/videos/422387140?t=0h33m15s

What a weirdo.

Well, looks like you're trying to apply what you're learning. I think that's miles better than whatever the hell I was doing so far. Feels like I didn't really learn anything.

are you sure the things you said are correct

He could've just gotten good in that time span.

No one said he was shit. He's extremely good.

>66c to have an upclose hitbox as it comes out and to be even one frame less negative

That's some bullshit and you know it

Well he could still be retarded, as in savant where he's good at the game but has no social graces.

Oh woops, meant for

Bluesrhap and Huolite are dueling?

Should I exit this lobby or put my self on autopass?

Just got back from my errand.

It's fine

Fighting a CPU can unironically help with that. You can practice confirming into your combos in a match with an opponent that at least somewhat fights back.

More importantly than them attempting to sort of fight back is just that you'll get to practice confirming on a moving target so your starters may hit in a position you wouldn't have practiced with the static dummy.
Fight the CPU in training mode though, not a match, since you don't want to be trying to win against the CPU

Explain to me how its bullshit? I'm not even asking for it snipe people out the air, be safe on block, prorate less, just dont whiff point blank. I'd advocate the same for any other character.

>Hilda

He was going by pehnkins that night, but he normally enters under sploogiemcnoodle. Was an infamous jojos/skullgirls player who apparently just likes trolling people less than subtly, but expected given his choice in past games.

>3f is like the bleeding edge of where some things become near unreactable
Is UNIST the only anime fighter you've played online? Maybe I'm used to playing stuff with even faster overheads and shit in 5 frames that netplay UNIST feels like heaven.

Oh shit, that was sploogie?
Why did he feel the need to act like a fucking idiot? I know for a fact that atic plays against him at his locals.
Fucking weird though, glad to know that it wasn't that mentally handicapped troglodyte and it was just trolling.

M-maybe...

>I'd advocate the same for any other character
lmao give me that shit

Attached: 800px-UNIST_Hilda_2B.png (800x284, 146K)

If you're saying that her having upclose hitboxes on her normals would be overkill too, can you explain how?
Are you going to give me a thought out post or can I assume you don't actually wanna elaborate?

Ah dang, trying to pull a Lamp in the corner there and it failed. Oh well.

Also, I appreciate any advice you can give in playing Yuzu. After deciding to give her a fair shake to learn I've found her to be quite fun to play.

Hey guys, I'm not a normal, but I'm totally good for a point blank hitbox as well! Trust me!

Attached: 502px-UNIST_Yuzuriha_214X.png (502x599, 312K)

Imagine all her normals working like phonon's 3C or yuzu's big slashes. On top of having pin, gloom, and pillars. Those long ass recovery frames would give you gaps if she whiffed, but a good one is already a bitch to fight even with point blank gaps.

Attached: 800px-PO_3C_1.png (800x135, 81K)

>The pancake poster was sploogie
I mean, I already figured that it was but it's nice to get confirmation.

Ah so you all finally found out. Sploogie's actually a really cool guy but likes trolling around and doesn't take netplay too seriously past 3f.

I didn't know he was Pehnkins either until relatively recently. I think a lot of it was to punk me in particular, he got me real good since I kept swearing up and down it was walkup and even brought up that theory face to face to him months ago while he pretended he knew nothing.

I can get behind this. Buff Yuzu 214C.

I'm just glad to know that an retard like that doesn't actually exist.

>I kept swearing up and down it was walkup and even brought up that theory face to face to him months ago while he pretended he knew nothing
Not gonna lie he had me on that shit for a while too.

Attached: 1528769529297.gif (500x281, 1.91M)

Phonon's existence is exactly why that's perfectly fine. Why not let these characters have strong space control in a game where plenty of characters have strong space control? If the game hasnt spun out of control due to moves like phonon 3c, yuzu slash, merk 214x, etc, then what is the harm? Unless you think those moves should have some kind of more obvious flaw, id respect that.

>If the game hasnt spun out of control due to moves like [...] then what is the harm?
Because memes aside, those moves are notable because they stand out even in that particular character's moveset. The whole game isn't literally full screen footsies 24/7. Hilda in particular would be far move annoying to fight if her normals worked that way since she can already set up 50/50s damn near wherever she wants.

If all is well, I'll be able to play again on sunday.
We'll theory craft properly then too.

*far more annoying

Also, she is probably one of the best characters at controlling space as it is anyways because of these big obnoxious things she calls "normals," she's just in fuckedtown if you get in her face.

Attached: 785px-UNIST_Hilda_5Cx.png (785x600, 361K)

Phonon doesnt come with fucking lynchpins and EX Gloom.

Also alittle late to say this but playing the character has definitely gave me a better feel on the timings for when to approach Yuzu's moves on Linne.

Maybe that'll help you too in our battles Lamp if you start to get a better feel for spacing by feeling it out yourself when playing her.

>Her jump now has a hitbox that pushes you into the slashes
Ebin

Whew, almost snatched that round away with the grab.

Nice work clutching it out there Huolite!

will they buff enkidu's counter?

He'll certainly get buffs of some sort for sure. Hopefully they will be meaningful enough that he becomes much more tourney viable.

>enkidu isn't tourney viable

Enki was top 3 in last Evo was he not?

Key phrase: much more.

>tfw mika can just XD through his ex counter

I just want his counter to not get beat by Yuzu's 4B

Do you think?
twitter.com/inbirthPR/status/1126755318455627776?s=19

GGs PS broskis. Thanks for keeping it open for so long and congrats on yellow square Blues.

Looks like our second duel is drawing near.

just have it where if he counters anything, the opponent suddenly teleports into his hands and he brings on a massive beatdown

>Do you think?
No, I'm a Wagner main.

Attached: sample_b9701726e3a11675f04c6ce938c7aece.jpg (850x1314, 322K)

GGs, had fun tonight, but I really won't be back for a while now. I'm headed home for the summer but won't be able to set up my ps4 on the ethernet since the router is in my dad's office space and I don't wanna be a wifitard.
Was kind of hoping to get to orange and battle a bit tonight, but that can wait.

There's not really much to say since you're still getting used to the game and the character at this point. That slashing practice video that Icy posted a few days ago is pretty good practice for getting used to holds and sliding, and it helped me a lot when I was starting out

files.catbox.moe/mw5mly.mp4
Here's an old video of me practicing it. It's not very clean but you get the general idea. I recommend choosing a character that's not Enkidu as his dash block is god awful. Set it to random all guard and try seeing how far you can get the opponent to dash in without messing up. If it hits, that's your chance to practice confirming the 4-2 combo. It's surprisingly fun.

If you're wondering what's with the whiffed 6As, Yuzu actually recovers slightly faster from 236B when she cancels it immediately into a whiffed 6A/B/C

Having to fight the mirror match with Icy is more than enough practice

I appreciate your efforts to keep a clean connection. Good luck out there and see ya in awhile!

If you have the budget, buy a powerline adapter.

I see, that's some neat info. Especially the whiff stuff that could likely save me from loads of punishes.

I'll definitely have a look at that video too. Learning all the ins and outs of the game is quite fun. Thanks for all the help!

I can see what you mean in the mirror match helping you out quite abit. Playing against Dia has helped me a ton thanks to all the mirror matches to show me what I can do with the character first hand instead of only watching videos.

Praise me and my Yuzu videos more

>236B[D] into 6C[D]
I can see where things get alittle tricky on pad if you want to get a low hit (I believe 6C hits low anyway) on a hold.

>Especially the whiff stuff that could likely save me from loads of punishes.
6A doesn't whiff at close range, so it won't really in that sense. Although, it is safer to immediately cancel into 6X, 214X, or a teleport instead of just letting 236B sit there after being blocked at point blank range

>Playing against Dia has helped me a ton thanks to all the mirror matches to show me what I can do with the character first hand instead of only watching videos.
It's a bit different. Yuzu has an unexpectedly hard time dealing with her own moveset so that's my chance to learn how to not die to slashes when fighting Icy

Your video sucks ass and you forgot to explain how it works

It would work to get faster recovery after a teleport air slash though right?

I remember getting some heavy punish against better players earlier while trying to do 421C > 236A and getting blocked to land on the floor and get hit because of long recovery frames.

It's 236B (C hold) > 6A whiff. Confirm if the 236B hit or not. If it did, practice Yuzu's 4-2 combo. If not, switch to a D hold.

Is it worth picking up characters just for the purpose to learn their general gameplan/blockstrings or is it better to just focus on my main? I feel like going into training mode and just seeing what their normals/specials are alone isn't enough to figure out what's going on.

421C lands you right next to the opponent, so 421C > 236A > 6C would cause the 6C to be blocked, leaving you at -8.

By this I was assuming you meant j.421C.

The 6X whiff stuff doesn't apply to Yuzu's j.236A/B slashes

I'll look into that, thanks. Is there a difference in button holds or is one more convenient for pressing the other buttons?

Like sometimes I feel like when I do inputs with B (D hold) the moves don't come out but maybe I just need to practice it more. I believe that's part of that 4-2 combo with the 2 236B slashes followed by 214B[D] or something rather.

I see, sounds bad. Guess I'll have to avoid using air teleport slashing too much then unless I'm confident I can hit it.

Also, I was practicing just doing a 1 hold special into another special (236B[C] > 214A with C release) and that seemed to be working out alright for just starting out, but I'm not sure if that is a good way to practice hold and release special chaining.

Ah okay so then I guess I just gotta play it safe or something because I was definitely feeling beat downs whenever I got blocked in the air and the enemy was within range to follow-up on block.

I think it helps to get a feel for it definitely based on personal experience.

It may even open your eyes to new ways to use your character too. At least I feel like it helped me up my game alot plus it's fun to learn new things, don't know about anybody else.

You don't mean that.

Would you happen to have the name of that slashing video on hand? Looking for it in the archive but to no avail. Would definitely appreciate it!

There is no difference in the A/B/C button holds. It's just that C is usually the preferred one because of how you don't normally use 236C or 214C. A holds are also pretty good in the air if you're under 100 meter

D holds are different in that you lose a significant amount of combo damage and you lose the ability to perform a follow up special (something like 236A+D) on hit, making it harder to confirm into combos. The benefit of D holds is that it lets you use all your buttons, but usually you want to start out holding another button

>I see, sounds bad. Guess I'll have to avoid using air teleport slashing too much then unless I'm confident I can hit it.
You can always cancel the blocked 236A into a stance jump, 214B, or another teleport. It's not that bad

j.236B > j.236B is a very good frame trap. If the opponent does anything, even jumping, they'll get hit.
j.236A is not blessed with as small of a gap, but it's still pretty decent in that you shouldn't normally be getting punished by it.

I would need to see a video of what you're talking about to see why you're getting punished

Actually, is this it?

youtube.com/watch?v=2WfWN0XEccY

Would be obvious due to naming sense.

Perhaps next time I'll get a replay. Was getting handily beaten by Melk when he was using Orie to punish my blocks with his thrusts as I came to the ground and a player name Squidshark's Hilda due to her long range normals that could reach me as I landed as well.

Err punish the blocking of my air slashes, but you probably get the point.

Also, looks like I need to practice making use of all my options. Thanks for all the tips!

No, that's some advanced level shit. It should be the first few. Something about my brain.

It looks like whenever he is using D, he immediately presses and let's go of it after every special move?

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

I see, hahaha. Guess I'll do some digging.

youtube.com/watch?v=f9YdlT_5hEk

Is it this one?

Looks like it's practicing the whiff cancelling.

Oh okay, so Orie is a bit different. It's a good thing you asked because I need to double check myself.

j.236A > j.236A will beat out B divine thrust as long as you do them back to back. If you delay (and it doesn't take much), you'll get counter hit

That's the video, but don't go immediately to D holds like Icy does. Start with an A/B/C hold and set the guard to random so you can practice hit confirming your slashes

I only hold D after I've already held ABor C. Don't spread propaganda about me.

Go watch your own video, you went straight to D holds

I can see what ya mean by not getting it by just watching it lamp. Looks like I'll have to take it step by step in order to build up holding skills.

Makes sense that if I delay too much, I'm counter-hit food so it looks like I may have to practice that one too for good measure though I'll definitely start small and work on the hold stuff first thing.

how long would it take me to do yuzu bnbs on a DS4?

Yeqh, after an AB or C hold. Only on teleports do I sometimes go direct D.

for about one hour a day probably a week or two

I am not talking about your normal gameplay. In youtu.be/f9YdlT_5hEk you made no attempt to ever hold any of the normal buttons and went straight to holding D.

Not him but that doesn't sound too bad.

Do you talk by experience?

OH for that. Well that was a year ago.

How does an AB hold work exactly? What do you do out of an AB hold? Like let go of B and do an A special move?

There is no AB hold, I'm just not putting a space between them.

It's the shit video that you're recommending, so of course I'm going to point out the mistakes and what to do instead

If this is for Yuzuriha, stance only registers one button hold at a time, so I'm not sure what you're trying to ask

Well now I feel silly. I guess I need to rethink holding properly all over in order to do 4-2 successfully perhaps.

I think I may have been holding B and C on first go around and then on second 236BC I'd let go of B to input it and let go of C. I'll have to see if that does the trick. We'll see.

Fine I'll update it when I get home.

For 4-2, it's 236B -> immediately press and hold C afterwards. The 236B~[C] should be one swift and complete motion

I'm starting to see it now and now I'm starting to get the follow-up to that with 214B[D] to come out but it's a but late.

Does this have anything to do with not using the D hold or does it matter? Seems like depending on range I can get it to land easier.

Currently following up the second 236BC (C release) with just 214B.

About that, I'm not sure why mission mode tells you to hold and release D. All you need to do is tap D to get the fast cancel to stance

236B~[C] > 236B (while still holding C) > slightly delayed 214B+D

Hmm, it is abit confusing. I suppose I'll just grind it out until it starts working (at least I hope it starts working eventually haha). Fun times.

By slightly delayed, all that means is not mashing out 214B+D as fast as humanly possible. Just input the quarter circle back at a normal pace and it'll connect

I should have asked, did you know that you can cut down on the recovery frames of exiting stance by tapping D?

I do now, haha. Maybe I should just tap D and do 214B on it's own then?

Also, am I supposed to buffer the 214 movement before letting go of C?

Look at the inputs youtu.be/vL3bAkOX024

Will do, thanks for the video.

youtu.be/Kc79aHnRu7I
youtu.be/q8T0feattKE
These two videos are good to watch

>Also, am I supposed to buffer the 214 movement before letting go of C?
It's relatively lenient when it comes to this, so both ways work, letting go of C and then quickly doing 214B+D, or holding C the entire way and doing 214B+D

Cool. Appreciate all the useful info. I see in the early video that I can just let go of BC following the second 236B.

I'll definitely do check out these tutorial vids when I've got more time later in the day.

I think I'll call it for now in terms of training holds. Definitely feel like I've learned something even if alittle bit thanks to you guys.

Now if only I could access B+D easier on pad. Too bad they don't have a bind for it. Maybe next game? I could also invest in a converter for my stick I usual for casual games and learn to play on that too but I'm definitely do my best to grind on pad.

>good
Vital I should say. The game doesn't explain stance well
