I uninstalled this game because it's team based, and way too laggy. I understand I'm playing games over the internet, but certain games with very quick player interactions should not be played online. The server tick rates don't help.
Devs never bothered to remove cheaters, had a single small map to play on, and there's no info when actual content it desperately needs will be released for it.
I would have said having every character be fucking hideous was genius as it highly encouraged you to buy a new skin, but it seems like I was wrong.

1. Fortnite has content updates semi regularly, adding new weapons, vehicles and mechanics every patch or so. Compared to Apex where content comes at a snails pace with the shittiest battle pass

Normalfags/children NEED constant change and updates in their game to keep it fresh. They're not that invested in video games other than getting the yearly FIFA/2K/Madden release. So Epic realized that cranking out content was the only thing keeping people hooked. Would there be plenty of people playing Fortnite if they released only 3-4 patches a year? Of course, but shitting out new updates every week ensures that even the most casual cuckold is glued to their game.
Meanwhile, Respawn shit the bed and though they could balance Apex Legends like fighting game - 1 big patch whenever its ready. Casuals/children get bored quickly, so if they're bored of playing Octane for the 40th time, they're gonna hop over to Fortnite where they've changed the map and added a slew of new weapons in the same timeframe, and more content keeps coming.
With Smash Bros and Halo, it was a different time. No game really pushed out content that quickly. They have huge fanbases, yes, but Fornite removed any barrier to entry by making their game free.

They quit because it's a beta early access game with little content. Halo 1-4 and smash are both fully packaged games while Apex isn't.
They based their entire infrastructure on releasing big content patches across months. Fortnite releases patches the SECOND shit goes wrong. Nobody at epic is taking fortnite for granted, they make endless content and work every second on the game. If any glitches are reported they are expected to update the game as soon as humanly possible.
Meanwhile if you listen to multiple let's players like critikal, he'll tall your ear off on how apex will be stuck with a big for months and not fix shit until 2 updates later. And when they fix something, you end up breaking another, and they work sloooow. Hey really just took their potential and fame for granted, they came closer than pubg to competing with fortbite and they blew it. It isn't really their fault I mean resources are slim, and you can't make a small dev team keep up with the hours that fortnite has over the course of a month. If apex decides to speed up the updates and hire more talent they can bring themselves back. Until then they are just sitting on an oil vein that's leaking every second

The biggest thing Apex had going for it is the ping system and intuitive inventory management. I personally much prefer CoD's blackout and would have kept playing that if the inventory system wasn't such a cluncky mess and it didn't have microtransactions up the ass.
It's fun, there's a 50v50 mode with respawns that's essentially one big death match mode across the whole map that's a good way to learn the game without stressing out over dying. The building mechanic is something to get used to, it's less about who see's who first and more about positioning.

I played Apex for one match. It was so bad I uninstalled immediately. Usually I give games a good solid couple hours, but I could tell Apex was a way shittier Fortnite as I was forced to playing the tutorial. It had some cool UI elements that I wish Fortnite had, that's about it.
I actually started to play now with the new battle pass because I have some friends playing.
It's actually quite nonsensical fun, the building part is quite retarded but you can get used to it.
The most fun thing is that there are people taking the game dead serious, when it's just a nonsensical BR game.

The season pass was a bit meh, its a fun game in and of itself, but the ability to earn anything is insanely slow. There's not a lot of characters and just needed a bit more content.

I love how Apex plays, its the best BR as far as i'm concerned but it just got to the point where i now only play once a week and only if i have friends to queue with me, and we're slowing getting to the point where we just win all the time and since there's nothing new the excitement really starts to decline. They said they'll release a "big patch" in 2 months or something, i just hope the game survives that long, and even then if they fuck that patch up its just over.
