It's literally not. 3 has some really weird drag physics that aren't in the later games. It's really hard to get used to, but it's pretty fun once you get the hang of it. It's also a lot easier to stall out than in other games.

It doesn't matter, it all happens for real afterwards ad the result is always the same

I played it in widescreen and it was really good, it doesn't feel like any of the other ace combat games and has the best music of the entire franchise

I played the game on a real console with an original Dualshock and it barely registered diagonal input. This problem does not exist in AC2 or any of the PS2 games.

But beyond that, the planes in 3 also have a very heavy feeling and they just don't manuever as well as in the other games.
