Oh! They have the data! That makes it a perfect port. Just like every other port/remaster attempt that had "the data" that turned out shit because without the source you don't know exactly how the game functioned and had to operate purely on assumption.
There are only two people on earth with the Blood source code and neither have given it up due to the massive legal issues surrounding it.

I have and it's flawed to the point where parts of the game are broken because of the changes they made. The physics are wrong and the hitboxes are smaller which makes it harder to hit with certain weapons, the dynamite doesn't travel as it used to and certain jumps are annoyingly harder now. The enemy AI and pathfinding is fucked too, with things running to their deaths, around in circles or just mobbing you to the point of immobility because of the smaller hitboxes. The level collision is glitchy too, making you get stuck in areas, on slopes, moving platforms and even line triggers.
This isn't a remaster, it's another Nightdive cash grab. People bitch about their toasters not being able to run the game in Dosbox but it's a better experience than this.
