Tens of thousands of downloads monthly. So, rundown. I've been modding the game, #1 most downloaded work for this update. I also moderate and manage for the developers of this game. I have never ONCE been contacted, despite attempts of reaching out myself. And now, just today, they announced a 7th concept that is directly taken from my very own work.
Am I justified in my rage? I bust my fucking ass on this stuff. 3000 hours in this one project alone. I never accept a donation, nor do I want to profit. This is "gaming" to me, creating mods. I absolutely love doing it. But to be slapped in the fucking face this hard, by your supposed "team", is just discouraging.

If you've already made a mod, and then the dev comes in and says "hey we're doing this for our next game update!" wouldn't the community just say "why, this user already made a mod for that"? Unless you're giving them your plans for future work in which case I'd advice against that, the game industry is corrupt af and if they see an easy way to make content without their own work they'll jump at the chance.
Your best option is to make a stink on twitter and reach out the youtubers that cover controversial game stories and see if they'd be willing to cover yours if you have the logs and evidence to back up your claims.
