Cyberpunk designs always look so busy for no reason.

Look at that hose in the middle of that guy's helmet. Why is it there? What does it do? Why wouldn't it be 'under' the protective plating of the helmet? Instead, they routed out a spot for it so it would fit flush. What is so important about that hose that it warrants weakening the protective properties of a piece of protective equipment?

Actually, it was never meant to do anything, the artist just put it there to add pointless complexity to the design.

It’s okay but it’s mainly just about world building rather than the actual plot. There’s maybe 3-4 actually good scenes of character development and dialogue in the whole thing

It is Cyberpunk and it is pretty cool but it’s pretty clear there’s a lot of retards for whom that is their only Cyberpunk reference point and have never cracked open a novel outside of school in their life
I’m not even saying Neuromancer or SnowCrash are that good but they give you more narrative, setting and thematic fodder to work with than just a single movie for a genre

It’s a modular piece of equipment so it’s built to interface with things with multiple forms of plugs I guess. I mean think about having all sorts of USB shit coming out of your computer. It looks busy but thats cause that shit wasn’t necessarily designed for looking good and sleek together

I think that this is the outer hang for a harness or a mount for a shoulder cannon/scanner whatever you can put on one shoulder(that soldier is probably cybered up to the wazoo so mounting shit on his shoulder shouldn't be a problem) or you hook a rope there.

A lot of modern combat gear has a nylon handle sewn onto the back so that the wearer can be dragged if needed for emergency evacuation purposes.
