Combat and Post-Game.
Star Allies really refined how Kirby moved. Running, jumping, and attacking had their physics altered to feel more like the GBA/DS titles but faster. Run + Jump attacks could be repeated until you touch the ground. Most enemy types can be juggled to an extent (although they had little health). It also has Smash-style defensive options out of your Block, a carry-over from Triple Deluxe. On top of that, the Ally mechanics give you things like elemental weapon abilities and using Suplex/Fighter to throw allies as projectiles. Oh, and there's over a dozen other playable characters with unique movesets that represent every other mainline Kirby.
The post-game is the meat of the game, since the main game is so easy. Guest Star is a good run through the main game's levels without any downtime as any character other than Kirby, and each Dream Friend has a unique final stretch referencing their game. Ultimate Choice is a boss rush with its final difficulty (Soul Melter) being a pretty decent challenge if you do it solo or with one elemental ally to buff your weapon. Free updates added Heroes in Another Dimension, an entirely new campaign that has real puzzles, well-structured combat rooms, and legitimately tough bosses, and beating the True Ending on it gets you Soul Melter EX in UC mode, which is the hardest thing in any Kirby game.
The visuals and music are also fucking great. I would say that KSSU and Robobot and maybe a couple others are better in an objective sense, but for my sensibilities it's the one I get the most fun out of due to SMEX and HiAD challenging me in a way no other Kirby game has had while having such control over my attacks.

6/7 Thought THAW sucked. Campaign is one long tutorial following a slew of singular objectives. Classic arcade mode has but 5 levels with only one of them unique to the game. The parkour elements would have been interesting to keep around and expand though.

it's an ultra chill village builder. There's really nothing else to it than building a cozy farm, village, or fort with you and your buds. There's a few hundred people playing, and Wurm Unlimited being released means you can run your own server with your own speed modifiers if the grind is too much.

Pokemon X was amazing I loved the mon distribution in each area along with the environments, customization, and music just to name a few. I really do believe X is worthy of S tier just because of how fun it is to replay since the Kalos dex is so vast since it has plenty of returning mons, also the grind isn't abysmal like in HGSS.

I feel like I'm one of those weird guys since I genuinely enjoyed FrLg much more than Red and Blue so thanks for making me feel less awkward.
I always found it weird how the plastic wheel made the game easier instead of just being a janky wii accessory gimmick.
If I could change anything about odyssey it would be removing the annoying motion controls but other than that I loved this game to death I 100 percented every world and challenge. Also my favorite world is the robot garden one since it had the best music and natives.

user are you still angry about Talonflame and or mega evolution? I mean it's understandable why so many people treat XY like a black sheep but it felt like this game was a big step in a graphic standpoint from 2D to 3D. I guess it's understandable since this gen had the weakest rival and okayish gym battles since they weren't on par with BW2 or Platinum. I got pretty burned out on the 3D games when SM came out, I still liked them but they didn't really do much in terms of changing the series with the exception of shaking the formula up a bit here and there. Also if you ever want to give 3D Pokemon another try DON'T get ORAS or USUM they somehow managed to make it less fun somehow.

You literally get given a fucking Kanto starter, there's Snorlax blocking roads, Mewtwo is hiding in a cave in the post game as a throw back to gen 1, and Kanto starters were given megas over Kalos starters. And don't act like gen 6 wasn't even easier with the new exp share. And let's not forget the game only had like 70 new mons. It was a disappointment through and through.

I think it's nice they give you a Kanto starter since they don't give the usual COMPLETE THE ENTIRE REGIONAL DEX FOR ONE OUT OF GEN STARTER MON ordeal to go through so it's more fun and accessible to complete the Pokedex. Another thing to keep in mind is that if you wanted to transfer your Mewtwo from previous games you would have to go thought the pain in the ass transfer system from either FrLg or HGSS all the way to BW2 then to Bank. Also are you forgetting the gen 3 megas in ORAS?

XP Share exists because Game Freak is lazy, it's not a "difficulty switch" like apologists claim it is, it's literally proof that Game Freak did not want to design a fucking video game, they just wanted to rush out X/Y to make as much money as possible off the new merch and anime that accompanied it. Being underleveled won't fix the inherent design flaws in the game, gen 7 at least solved this problem by readding gen 5's level scaling and giving NPCs proper stats and movesets. X/Y was nothing more than a tech demo for showing off their shiny new 3D models.

Also Kanto felt kinda odd in gen 2 I mean you get to explore the region which is nice but you kinda just breeze through it since you have all the HMs, your team is well leveled and fully evolved at that point, and Team Rocket is disbanded so you sorta just steamroll your way through with Red being the only real roadblock with his high level mons.

I never said it was. I'm saying it started the Kanto pandering meme. I brought up other issues with the game as well. The fact of the matter is that the Kanto pandering undercut the unique flavour of XY and made them more forgettable overall.

Okay now I get what you're saying about the shoehorned Kanto stuff. I agree with you on that since XY really had a outlandish but unique feel by introducing so many new but controversial features such as mega evolution, catching giving you exp, 3d overhaul, and a lower new mon count but higher variety in the pre national dex. I like how instead of adding 100 new mons they wanted to really take a step forward and kinda to a small but interesting step outside of the usual 150 mons in locked in a region treatment. Overall I found XY to be a step in the right direction but what I'm stumped on is why Gamefreak decided to start the Kanto leeching in XY. I guess since all the changes were pretty substantial along with a whole new type they thought XY maybe too alienating so maybe they tacked on Kanto because...........people will be less scared of the changes? I really have no idea why.
