Sly 2 and 3 (even one to an extent) have always have well written plots that are interesting to follow.

The series is hitting in October, though. It got held up for so long because they couldn't find a network that would pick it up since its sense of humour was supposedly too dry for kids.

4 was perfectly fine as a game, it's the story people hated.

4 is just plain better than 3. Finally minimized minigames and also brought back 2-style hubs.

bad framerate, awful loading times, weighty controls, removal of any and all power-ups... no sly 3 is still leagues better than 4

they kinda ended 3 on a cliffhanger too, but they played it off like tihii maby, maby not, wouldent it be fun to go back in time. Then the game just winks at you with a miscifhus smile.

that ending tortured me as a kid, i took it as, see you in the next one kinda deal.

Sly 4 gave me PTSD flashbacks when it pulled the cliffhanger ending on me.

can we just get one more game two at the verry most, and just let this franchise rest alreaddy.

sly 3 didn't have a cliffhanger. it was a perfect ending that needed nothing else, there was no need for a fourth game. it was saying "yes, the series is over, but don't worry, sly is still sly."

yes? your point is? not a cliffhanger. a cliffhanger is an ending leaving the audience in suspense. there was suspense to sly 3's ending. just closure.

4 wasn't that bad I dunno why everyone shat on it so hard. I couldn't care less about the plot to these games. It's just fluff to put Sly into cool situations.

i can see where your comming from, but in my mind it was deffinetly hinting at something. Even if they did as a gag or a joke, i find this to be bad way to end a game on.

i guess you can see it like that, but im not entierly convinced. From what we know, they clearly were tired of the franchise and wanted to work on something new. And felt like putting in that little wink so they could have something expand on if they wanted to make a sly 4 themself, but never got around to it, cause of the industry changing and because of how much time it took to develop the infamous games.

im also pretty biased since this has been on and off myh mind since 05

im a pretty big fan and even tough it dosent hold up to the originals, they did an ok and stumbled a bunch here and there.

i've been a fan since day one. when i was younger, yes i saw it as a "yay sly 4 sometime" kinda thing, but as i got older, 2010 rolled around, we got the trailer for 4 i rethought everything and... i didn't want it. i thought i did, but i didn't. 3 should have been the end. it was so clean.

Sly is super fun and a friend of mine loves it a lot and got me into it. Reminds me of Banjo-Kazooie sometimes but the plot is infinitely more enjoyable in Sly (probably because Banjo plot is just save his sister and beat Grunty)
