Give me a crosshair, not two brainless buttons.

It really was a shame to see such kino art direction in such a shitty game.

God only knows what I'd be without you...

I want a real sequel to Bioshock, not this.

Bioshock 2 is underrated though.

Jeremiah Fink is based.

>game portrays this as an act of racism
>this scene is most likely the work of some white roastie who had her man stolen by a black girl

>give the player a choice

>HAHA FUCK YOU, BOTH CHOICES HAVE THE OUTCOME

Automatic grade of zero in my book.

youtube.com/watch?v=bcbWkE-BtSM
I can almost imagine myself there.
No one here's arguing that the game itself isn't shitty (I hope).

Gives his employees food and housing in addition to their pay in exchange for their labor. I see no problem here.

Hot

Bioshock 2 is very underrated.
Playing as a big daddy is fun
Exploring rapture more is fun
The atmosphere is the same as the first game and is kino once again

Why do people hate it again?

No it was a jew and he was pandering to an audience that didn't exist

wasn’t fucking a non-white a thing to gloat about back then?

*non-white chick

>when you think you're creating a dystopia but accidentally create a utopia

Retarded underage faggot.

why would comstock allow non-whites on his floating city?

Someone's gotta scrub the toilets.

to clean the bathrooms

The racist angle is completely gutted by the fact that it's the most tepid, tame racism ever. Not even in the "no one says nigger" sense, I mean the fact that America now, TODAY, is arguably more racist than Columbia.

So why didn't he use chinamen or irish?

they have fully functioning automatons, the only reason the writers put non-whites there was to make a statement about "racist white america" because there is no logical reason for them to be there in universe

He used them for other types of labor instead. Also the implication is Fink brought most of the blacks in to be indentured servants to him.

Bioshock 2 feels strange to play.
It's a good game though.

Attached: L.png (485x385, 149K)

The issue is Columbia is far less racist than America actually was at the time BSI takes place. Blacks would kill to have lived in Columbia compared to actual America in 1912.

because racism is natural and also legitimately funny

I agree, we should send them all back to Africa like Lincoln wanted.

this. everything would've been great if the eternal dixie hadn't sperged out and shot him in the theater

>dlc removes the 2 weapon limit
>to this day no one has been able to apply that to the base game
Yeah you can argue it's not worth it and I agree, but dear god it would've improved a lot gameplay-wise.

>Elizabeth: Booker, these people need our help?
Booker: People? Or NIGGERS as I like to call them
Was Infinite a little too on the nose with it's commentary?

Bringing Raimi in for the re-writes was a risky move, but I think it paid off

Attached: wallpaper.jpg (2560x1600, 683K)

The story was kind of shoehorned in, and of course attacking socialism would make commie video game journalists upset.

But the game played much better than BS1 and the last third of the game was absolutely excellent unlike the first one.

Ken (((Levine))) had a story to tell and it was about evil racist white people, what a shock.

THAT'S MY PROBLEM, IT WASN'T THAT RACIST.
He should've stuck to superhero games, I miss Freedom Force.

Uh, no. Absolutely not. It was considered shameful to have sex with your slaves, as well. We think of Thomas Jefferson screwing his slave as a historic factoid, but it was actually a major scandal at the time.

which in of itself was never exactly proven

what the fuck is wrong with black coffee? people who put cream and sugar just want to drink candy

The drunk irishman makes the image.

I just put half and half or milk in my coffee. Sugar and sweetened creamer do ruin the taste.

Exactly. It was the Obama birth certificate or Trump/Russia scandal of its day.

Considering how in love he was with his wife, how devastated he was when she died, and the recent truth that Sally Hemmings was his wife's half sister (and thus probably looked kinda like her), says a lot.

That's because he sucks.

But yes Freedom Force is kino.

and there's the speculation

BioShock 2 had the exact opposite problem of the first. The first had an amazing first two thirds, and a boring, tedious last third. 2 had an okay first two thirds and an absolutely incredible final act.

>foreign hordes
>that native american
Bioshock is a gift from god

Well they are from Asia.

Native Americans were not Americans, just because they were on the land that became the United States doesn't mean they were citizens

because i cant personally crush lamb's scrawny bitch neck between my fingers. biocock 1 was the story of a man with a dream and his principles which he could not sustain without becoming corrupt, and how his ideology was doomed to seed corruption from every opposing side to undermine him, with antagonists who while clearly being the enemy were not completely obnoxious and preachy like lamb was. oh and the graphics actually got worse

I said it was less than Columbia, unless you count anti-White racism.

My argument is we just shifted how we're racist.

Yes.

imagine being this stupid while also believing yourself to be more intelligent.
The United States did not exist before the Europeans made it so, just because Indians were living on the land there before does not retroactively make them founding members or citizens of the country.
you fucking simp

Yes, but I wasn't saying that it was completely gone, just that it was less than in Columbia (unless you're factoring in anti-White racism, in which case modern America IS more racist than Columbia).

Attached: 20190509_185500.jpg (595x374, 188K)

Well Big Sisters were not designed for combat they just got a sea slug implanted in their body and huge amount of mental conditioning.

why have there been so many biocuck threads lately? is ken levine trying to stop his shit franchise from fading into obscurity?

Yes but you get a different piece of gear if you do. Which is better depends on your playstyle.

probably the System Shock 1/2 remakes coming up

>ass too big

GIVE US A SHOT OF YOUR FANCY WIG YE LITTLE BOLLOCKS

>just that it was less than in Columbia
Is it though? As much as they love to do the imagery of THIS PLACE IS SO RACIST GUYS, outside of the not-KKK who are so extreme that they think even Comstock isn't pure white (which they're correct about, it's just that they came to this conclusion through phrenology), Columbia really isn't all that racist. Yes there is clearly a two-tiered society but people in the society don't act particularly racist.

Dont get me wrong my game is shit, but isnt that part of the theme of the game? There are parallel universes but all contain constants. Some things are simply fate.

>game's set in the 1910's
>coffee not invented until the 1960's

Every time I try to play this game again to give it another chance, I just lose all interest after the hall of heroes. The labor revolt section of the game was never fun for me.

>Ken (((Levine))) had a story to tell and it was about evil racist white people
in the end founders turned out to be way better than the vox, what did Ken mean by this?

>coffee not invented until the 1960's
are you retarded? people have been drinking coffee since the 18th century

i think my problem with Infinite, aside from the weapon limitations and the Elizabeth whining in my ear the whole time, is how boring the enemies feel to fight
Bioshock 1 had manic people yelling creepy and goofy shit while charging at you with a metal pipe they pulled off the wall, Infinite had policemen telling you to put your hands up and then regular soldiers

Ignoring that we have archived coffee commercials from the 1930s, coffee has been a thing since the 15th century.

the 'you know who's' can't imagine a story that doesn't involve class conflict

>stones people to death for race-mixing
>isn't really all that racist

Attached: 66a.jpg (183x223, 11K)

I really like the sound design in this game.
That's the best thing about I can say about it.

But then the racism disappears after that point like it never happened and it becomes about class.

It's pretty shitty to tell everyone that choices matter and then have them not matter at all.

>stones people to death for race-mixing
They were going to have baseballs thrown at them. Public humiliation, sure. But stoning to death?

Good setting shitty execution of a game.

fuck infinite and fuck ken levine

If they make a sequel for Bioshock: Infinite, its story should be about the destruction of mankind.
But I know it can also be about a bunch of aliens.
The problem is that if you've played Mass Effect, you know the way in which most of those aliens are depicted as either monsters or people--the sort of people who make things worse. If you've played Bioshock, you know or should know the way in which the game characters often make things worse, that is. And so the question is, to what extent can someone play or make things worse in Bioshock: Infinite without being at least mildly annoyed by them? It's not because anyone doesn't like them. For the vast majority, that's the best that a game could possibly be, and for these, a playthrough will only serve to make things worse. It's not exactly a stretch to see Bioshock: Infinite as a Mass Effect game. It's certainly something that could work.

This dude looks ridiculously Jewish.

Please explain to me how modern America is more racist than a city that throws baseballs at interracial couples (excluding anti-White racism).

he's one chromosome away from
>YO LIL DONNIE

Only the girls, see, non white men were seen as a disgustingly inpure where as non white females were seen as sex slaves and unfortunatebeing born infeariro. That's why it's a fetish for whites and asians to fuck non white women,it's seen as conquering them, taming them and saving them and purifying them with your superior white or asian penis.

I've always figured you're multiplying muscle mass when it comes to these things. Since men have more muscle mass, you see exponential growth. Since females have less, not so much. I figure peak females should just have some muscles and be really tall because it's my fetish.

Woody Allen looks ridiculously jewish, Ken Levine just looks like a normal jewish did.

I saw this on twitter. KYS, now.

He's kind of right. The game wants to touch race but ends up giving up on that rather quickly. We don't really see the racism that existed in Columbia after the start and I think there are like three throw away lines that imply it.

>Please explain to me how modern America is more racist than a city that throws baseballs at interracial couples
It's not.

We are going back to this, give or take a decade men of color will not even bale to touch their own race of women because those women will be taken in by whites and asians

Lead by example fag.

Attached: 1557183100968.jpg (640x515, 37K)

That's my point.

Bioshock 2 and infinite both have pretty much the same story
And 2 did it better, neutral ending really got me, I watched it again like ten times on youtube

2 also doesn't have the twist which makes the story seem more focused as it's not dancing around important plotpoints half the game.

This game was comfy as fuck I honestly don't even care about all the shortcomings.Top tier art direction, setting, design, music, ambiance, voice acting and most importantly it wasn't as spooky as the first two games. That's good enough for me.

Barring the shitty "puzzle" at the beginning, of course. The art direction was worthy of a better game.

You wouldn't fuck an Australian aborigine, produce some 70 IQ mutts, then expect people to applaud you, would you?

I was trying to figure out what this apparently botched beginning pattern of the Fibonacci sequence was trying to say to me. Was booker as a character loosing his mind? Was this the one scroll, and on his journey he would need to find 2 keys, perhaps a symbol for key people. Yet the sword, could the sword be two powerful enemies he, and we as the player, must overcome to achieve these keys?
Anyways I hit those bells up in front a bunch till the game started and I got stuck at the bird v cage puzzle. An allusion to roe v wade?

It seems to have no reason for existing.

Where'd you get that brand, boy? Don't you know what makes you BLACK

You need an extremely high IQ to figure out what they hell they were thinking with that fucking ghost bossfight.

>the bird v cage puzzle.
HAHA y-yeah could you imagine getting stuck on that?

they probably forgot to playtest that segment

I would have enjoyed it much more if it was a walking simulator for the whole game.

your post made me realize that the first hour of the game is Gone Home, but for white men

it was done for immersion, silly.Standing there in the rain wondering what the actual fuck is happening.10/10 execution.
Also obviously it was not a puzzle.

Has to be for white men cause he's actually out looking for his daughter, instead of hiding from her.

>Gone Home
Never actually played it, what's it about?

before then try like the 1600's and even then earlier in ethiopia.

I've only seen about 5 minutes of gameplay, but from what I can tell it's about a lesbian walking around her house having an inner monologue about objects that remind her of her lesbian lover

He said people.

I guess it was a simple tutorial for the dumb fuck retards who don't understand the concept of a video game. That's the only reason I'd see such a pointless moment.

Pretty sure her sister is the lesbian.

yeah, people.

people

Did people really have trouble with the bells or is this just a fucking meme?

In the area before that raffle with the crowd singing Goodnight Irene, I remember thinking that Bioshock had done it again, everything's gonna be great.
Oh well.
I also remember loads of threads about the menarche rag in the tower turning into shitfits and the Bioshock Infinite general on /vg/ that went on for years and years.

Attached: 1365261595844.jpg (647x647, 115K)

Great art style, decent writing until it goes off the rails, some cool ideas, boring combat. I could've stomach a lot of the more boring second part of the game, specially knowing how they were going for much darker stuff, if the combat was fun. The horrible variety in enemies just killed it for me.
In Bioshock 1, ADAM is the sort of the glue that keeps the worldbuilding and the gameplay together. In Infinte, plasmids are there just for the sake of saying that it's a Bioshock game. I can only remember the fireman and the crow enemies as people who actually use plasmids, also Slater with electricity or whatever his name was.

It's not a puzzle. None of the *Shock games ever had a puzzle in them.

It's the first of many references to the number 122 which appears all over the game, and implies your character is the 122nd attempt to defeat Comstock.

>In the area before that raffle with the crowd singing Goodnight Irene

I'm glad I wasn't the only one in this thread blown away by that song.

>None of the *Shock games ever had a puzzle in them.
What would you call the "hacking" in the first Bioshock then?

They never say nigger once in the game. So much for racism.

It's not like the game was unforgivable garbage with no redeeming qualities, it just had more flaws than positives. Many many flaws.

What "Shock" do you mean? System Shock 1 and 2 as well? Because they definitely have puzzles.

This makes up for it.

Attached: IMG_20190509_175409.jpg (407x360, 30K)

A minigame. All of the *shock games have a hacking minigame.

The DLC for infinite took the dumbest parts of the base story and cranked it up to full retard 12/10. I still like the gameplay though

yeah, do they even so much as say darkie or anything?
it's like a 5 year old's idea of racism
>the blonde man hugged the dark girl, so the crowd threw balls at them

They probably would have had to rate it AO.

Yes "find the password" is such a hard puzzle. Literally no one has ever beaten System Shock 2 because of that hard puzzle.

The laziest cliche ever.

Bioshock 2 had the cutest little sisters and I can't bring myself to harvest them. Also 2 made me sad. Minerva's den also made me kinda sad.

I think they call them negros. Which was the polite term back in "those days".

Not many blacks were immigrants by the early 1900's.

They say "negro" a couple times.

That was the idea the devs were going for if I remember correctly, they wanted you to see them through the eyes of a big daddy.

Only thing I heard was negro and negress but that was the "correct" word at the time so it doesn't count.

Maybe if the writing was tighter they would've gotten away with that better but I doubt even Levine knew what he was trying to accomplish.

That explains alot. I hate how they seem to pretend 2 doesn't exist.

At least they didn't totally reduce her beta cup size.

You can't accurately portray racism without groups calling you racist because for some reason any depiction of it is endorsement.

Why was Bioshock Infinite too afraid to use the word "Nigger" at least once during the game?

Attached: 1557354876293.jpg (1013x797, 185K)

How would you fix infinite without making it unrecognizable?

city building sim where you play as Comstock (the correct Booker)

If you accurately portray how our ancestors considered the other races (especially the greatest gen who fought those evil nazis), you might start putting ideas in peoples heads that maybe all that talk about diversity theyre indoctrinated with is propaganda (which it is)

and we can't have that, so we're conveniently never told exactly what our ancestors had to say or write about the other races in the 40s and before. just some handwaving about minstrel shows in the antebellum south and then we kind of enter a black hole until were taught about the 1960s.

Because Ken Levine wasn't involved.

Fink made me shave my beard and grow a nice moustache.

I threw the ball at him because he bullied me for liking black coffee.

Wait a minute...

I don't understand how Columbia was supposed to rival 1980s American firepower with it's seemingly unchanged retro future 1912 firepower. I mean the future new york part had them still using airships.

Attached: whycraft.png (713x607, 838K)

Telekinesis 3 in bioshock 2 is the best power in all of the games debate me. I wish you could use it sooner.

Wasn't it something like the 1880's?
Otherwise how was Booker old enough to been in an Indian battle?

With the power of God.

How did they make bioshock 1-infinite and the dead space games look so damn good on my old as piss 360?

A... Bioshock.

He went to the 1980s for a bit near the end due to bullshit.

>Native Americans were not Americans

Attached: 1461191826885.png (444x440, 157K)

Booker's in his 40's in 1912 and the US government had incidents with the indians through the late 1800's.

I would've bought the "Columbia can destroy everything" thing if the 1980s Columbia had signs of technology that could walk all over our current tech, like weird sci-fi shit. But, when you get there, it has the exact same weapons and tech levels from 1910s Columbia. The asylum itself even looks rundown compared to how it is in the 1910s. It seemed to me they had two completely separate ideas, "Columbia becomes the destroyer of worlds", and "token spooky run-down asylum level" and didn't see how those ideas could massively conflict with each other back to back.

I prefer tea (with milk)

Protecting the little sisters although sensible considering you're a big daddy got old very fast.
Story didnt really have to exist and kind of diluted the original by having shit happen after Ryan and Atlas are dead, who the fuck would want to stay in that splicer infested shithole?
Not enough new or exciting places to visit.
The enviromental thing that Bioshock was praised for was also kind of a downgrade.
The combat was a lot more fun but it would have benefitted with more agressive enemies or less ammo since you can shred everything that isnt a big sister.
