Just as an example Matthew Dawkins was one of the main writers for v5 core and Camarilla supplement and is now main developer for Chicago by Night by OnyxPath and Fall of London for Modiphius. Probably also developing Cults of the Blood Gods.

Let me figure that out" and then they can create an entirely new discipline that does just that because they didn't understand what Malks really do.

They can range from Stealth, to Casters, to Speech, to Malee depending on what they choose to be.

Animalism/Obfuscate - Gangrel
Now Presence and Protean are left but those don't have a common clan

When Thaumaturgy was was thinblood alchemy and ranged from control and granting life to inanimate objects, to entering the Dreamscape as Freddy Kreuger, to growing and controlling plants like Poison Ivy, to teleportation, to controlling reflections-moving through mirrors-trapping people in mirrors, to walking on and controlling water, to telling the future, to conjuring anything out of your imagination, to control and alter not only your own age and that of others but time itself.

Too bad V5 scrapped all that shit so now Thaumaturgy is 100% Path of Blood and some Quietus.

I feel like a lot of fans of the first game will be expecting something as fishmalky as the first, but I personally wouldn't mind keeping the hallucinations and prophetic visions while toning down the more obscure and goofy aspects of the dialogue.

Especially if the intro is played out as a thinblood and we see what we're like as a character before picking a clan. I'd expect/hope that you can retain a bit more of your old personality rather than just going fully batshit insane from the get-go.

This is during the very beginning of the game, the place gets firebombed and everyone scatters. I'm not sure if you actually find out who that guy is right away. It may just end up being you doing a deed for the Camarilla at some point whether you like it or not and they reward you with a vamp to diablerize, at which point you just pick from a menu.

First understand that the GoG version has patch 9.7. The latest version is 10.3. If you choose to update however, you have to start a new game. If you don't, it will fuck your save up completely.

It's recommended generally to either finish a playthrough on an earlier patch or make a separate install elsewhere when you want to update. 9.7 is a pretty stable patch, you're not missing a WHOLE lot.

If you already updated it however, I'd uninstall the game and reinstall through GoG and continue your 9.7 saves. Or abandon them and start a new game in 10.3.

Download and install GoG version, then download and install We5p's Unofficial Patch 10.3 on Moddb. Choose either the Basic patch for a great vanilla experience or the Plus patch which adds a lot of features, cut content, etc.

In any case make sure to get the latest version of Unofficial Patch as other anons have stated, and install its basic version. You can grab the vampire.dll from the Unofficial Patch and put it in with a True Patch installation if you really want to use it though.

The bald dude is Prince Cross, the guy leading the vampire council (i.e. primogen) as they interrogate you over your Embrace at the start. He's nowhere near as bad as LaCroix was and you can side with him and/or his childe (Ventrue daddy from the trailer) if you like.

I want to get hype for the sequel of one of my all time favorite videogames. But I just can't shake off the dread that it will suck ass. Just like any "long awaited sequel" and just like 9\10 games released today. I just can't trust these motherfuckers to do the game justice without my bois from Troika games.

We won't even hardly be waiting a year for it though. That's not very long waited.

A part of me takes some additional hope in the sequel simply because so much of the original was carried by its writing and voice-work, while the actual core game was straight-up broken.

But I still think it's better to go in with a sense of wary optimism then to believe that it will exceed over a decade of nostalgic expectations.

It should be an option but not the only Malk style to play, for whoever does want a less goofy sort of malk playthrough. For once instead of having only a bare few conversation options maybe somebody should make those fucking dialogue writers and VAs bust their asses as hard as the poor code slaves do so that dialogue of the roleplaying game can actually feel like it isn't just an afterthought for the first time in a long time. It's been a while too but isn't VTMB's Malky implied to have hit basically every fish on the crazy tree on the way down? It might be refreshing to have a different brand of crazy available.

Going too crazy with the dialogue is expensive. You gotta pay the people who write those lines and the people who speak them. You'll notice in Bloodlines 1 most NPC responses to your Malk's dialogue are actually identical to responses to any other PC's dialogue. The game strategically uses a relatively few prominent changes to the dialogue sprinkled here and there to create the illusion of a dramatically altered playthrough. Same for Nosferatu.

I think that because for an rpg VtMB is kinda lacking in appearance customization options, most modders would be most likely interested in adding those. Plus from what I saw most skin mods are only recolors, that'd mean editing models for them hard, and when you can only do recolors, most nude mods will look like shit, because it would look like wearing skin colored clothing.
