How do you accurately qualify "taking inspiration"?
Why pick just one game?
>list doesn't include Witcher 3
Bloodborne melee and DD magic but finished.
I really liked how you could use your spells in DD to reach higher places and such. It doesn't feel like TES has a lot of fun conjuring magic.
How much effort would it take to just add spells to create random props like barrels and bridges?
That would be the same as checking either Shadow of War or Asscreed
Taking inspiration, read: X's combat but made by bethesda.
One game because that's the gimmick of this thread and because multiple games reaches the realm of pipe dream real easily (dark souls but with titanfall mech summons)
You want the witcher 3's combat system over all else? What? Just pick other lol.
>That would be the same as checking either Shadow of War or Asscreed
In shadow of war you can teleport around, raise the dead, use 3 elements, make ghost clones, etc.
ACO looks more fun than the witcher 3 was when i played it too

I think DD was taking inspiration from elder scrolls in that sense. Elder scrolls lets you mind control people, charm them, turn invisible, etc. It's the patron saint of sandbox/utility magic.
DD has more cool combat utility abilities without breaking the game though.
>It's the patron saint of sandbox/utility magic
iirc there isn't a single spell that lets you create something you can step on in Skyrim/Oblivion. I never delved deep into magic though so maybe I'm mistaken.
Yeah they've been bad with mobility magic after morrowind that's true.
>How much effort would it take to just add spells to create random props like barrels and bridges?
Daggerfall removed the best spells TES ever had from Arena, and nothing like them ever returned.
It isn't The Elder Scrolls without shit combat.
For god's sake, none of them. I'm sick of all the dodge simulator """"""RPGs"""""".
Can we have stats based combat again? It doesn't have to be on Morrowind level, but don't make it reflex based.
its going to be fallout 4 but reskinned to medieval urop. anyone who expects anything more is lying to themselves.
Magicka's magic system and Dark Souls Melee combat
>if X rpg game takes inspiration from only one other RPG game
Dark Messiah is always the answer
>Mount & Blade: Warband/Kingdom Come Deliverance
you, user, are legitimately retarded
>but don't make it reflex based.
die boomer
Die zoomer.
RPGs are supposed to be based on planning, character build and tactics, and not pressing the dodge button.
Vermintide (itself probably borrowing from something I havent played.
Sekiro deflect system is pretty good but it isn't an rpg
>i'm a huge fan of this game series but i want it's sequels to play nothing like it's previous entries
>i can not conceive of tolerating a poorly-implemented aspect to be able to enjoy the well-implemented aspect, nor of wanting the poorly-implemented aspect to become well-implemented
>No Dark Messiah
You guys hate fun
