Not really, its a very good and tight action game that knows what it wants to be and does it almost flawlessly. Its not for everyone i get it, people are upset you cant play dressup anymore or gank or duel, but it youre in it for singleplayer gameplay/worldbuilding/story/exploration, it has those in spades.
Everything about code vein screams otherwise though. This game is a mess, every single screenshot reeks of poor design. I DO want it to be good, dont get me wrong, i would close my eyes on this dumb aesthetic i outgrew a decade ago for a good game, but seems it just aint happening.

Last good ninja gaiden came out more than 2 gens ago though.
