Because a tech demo is not a game.

>Hey bros here is what our console is capable of doing
>Never utilize it

Because graphics are the least important part of game making

FIRE THIS MAN

when you have a militant group of fanboys eager to lap up anything you shit onto their plates such as a mobile phone tier "remake" of Link to the Past.

LTTP got a remake?

That demo literally cannot run the same way a game can. It's one confined room, unless you want to play a game with one room.

LA, whatever. At least ALBW had an excuse because it was on shit tier hardware. How can anyone defend this as a $60 home console tablet game

>muh graficz! xP

Mario Kart 8 almost looks as good as that tech demo on a lot of courses and has a lot more shit going on at any given time. Nintendo is just lazy. The TP port is indistinguishable from the GC game running on an emulator.

the switch can't run anything other than cartoony bing bing graphics without shitting the bed (and sometimes, it can't even handle those).
someone tell that to the reviewers who gave a 97 to a tech demo.

>Almost
Keyword. You still have to take into consideration performance. You can't slap good graphics on a game and think that's all it takes. How does it play? how does it control?

Smart comparison with a tv console vs handheld mode

isn't the switch supposed to be a handheld? what's wrong with putting handheld-style games on a handheld? the switch needs more games like this, just not for $60.

Cell shaded does not age. TP looks kinda bad nowadays.

forget about aging, botw looked terrible the moment it came out. it has way too much cel-shading, to the point where link looks like a cardboard cutout in most screenshots. plus it has the washed-out color pallette of a gba game.
that original tech demo was from 2011 and it still looks good in 2019.

You looked terrible the moment you were born. Go get aborted.

MK8 runs at 60 FPS with hardly any drops in single player and looks great. Yes I'm sure there's a perfectly valid reason why the "HD" remake of a gamecube game runs at 30 that isn't "we were lazy." I-it's a stylistic decision!!

I repeat: a tech demo is not representative of any final game. You're just mad Zelda isn't going full-on realistic like your shitty western mockups or UE4 games with reused assets.

>Different game manages to utilize the hardware's graphical capabilities to an extent almost as good as the tech demo with no performance issues
>"HURRR T-THEY COULDN'T APPLY THAT TO A DATED HD REMAKE THAT RUNS AT 30 FPS!!!"

>absolute casual thinks he can have an opinion
