the KSL continues boys, get the fuck in here and watch some brood war with your pals tasteless + artosis tonite: >Action vs Soulkey (ZvZ, bo5) >Mini vs ForGG (PvT, bo5) and tomorrow, we return to the group of death >Last vs Rain >Jaedong vs Stork
a reminder there'll be a mini tourney thing played on the 13/14/20th of this month to test out the new maps for ASL8. I have no idea where/how this is being streamed
>Action >Soulkey >Mini >ForGG Should be decently fun to watch. At least there'll be a ZvZ shitshow, that's always entertaining. Tomorrow, however, is the real shit >Last vs Rain >Jaedong vs Stork DAMN SON.
>hummus >sliced cucumber >yogurt and choco oats >a pack of cookies >milk >apple My body is ready.
Nathan Butler
A box of frozen diced mangos with sugar.
Ryan Thomas
I'm actually one of the people who likes both games, but this is an area where SC2 will never even come close to BW if blizzard doesn't get its head out of its ass. Just about every single map in SC2's pool feels like every other single map, with minor changes in rotation and/or expo locations. They're all just series of chokepoints and high grounds, and it feels like every location in the center of the map can be described by its relative position to a ramp. I'm sure there are SC2 fans creating interesting maps out there (there was an interesting one last year that reminded me a lot of Third World), but Blizzard just picks a handful of nigh-on palette swaps for every season's pool.
I like to call him the Villain Zerg. He looks evil somehow, and I love it.
John Diaz
Drugs are hard to come by in Korea, so Nick replaced pot with alcohol. The result is that he's a mid 30's fat alcoholic.
Julian Jenkins
Alright boys, post your predictions. >Action vs Soulkey (ZvZ, bo5) Hard call, but I'd say Soulkey. Narrowly. >Mini vs ForGG (PvT, bo5) Mini all the way, mate.
I made me a big ol bowl of bullshit >carnita meat >refried beans >mexican rice >salsa >olives >sour cream and then some corn tortillas to eat with it. good stuff
Lucas Sullivan
Going to pick Action for this first one, 3-1
Benjamin Roberts
You can buy it on playasia
Soulkey sucks at zvz
Eli Adams
where did action get this hair from?
did he comb it from the back to the front or something?
He kinda is and at the same time not really. I mean he's got no ambition but he seems content with where he is and what he's doing which is admirable in a way.
Only thing I don't understand is how him and Artosis still haven't learned Korean. I mean come on...
Juan Myers
zvz I sleep
Dylan Rodriguez
more English fans than Korean?
Samuel Harris
CODY -->
Jeremiah Cooper
>Only thing I don't understand is how him and Artosis still haven't learned Korean. I mean come on...
They have no need. There's enough Americans and Koreans who know English that they can get by. And Artosis sends his kids to an English school anyways . They live in little American Town more or less.
James Parker
You don't get it, he achieved his goals and ambitions.
it's kinda fucked to live in another country and not learn the native language especially since it's so prominent. i fucking hate when mexicans can barely speak english, so if i lived there i would feel obligated to not be a literal parasite.
just watch the vods on twitch, they even crop it to sets
Connor Russell
>Wow static defense is so shit it costs money and a drone >Instead lose several drones, lots of lost mining time, micro micro micro Sure saved those 200 minerals!
Michael Kelly
he's just copying flash, the best staracraft player ever, who refused to build a single turret when got dropped like 3 times ina row
Bentley Peterson
we getting a upset today boiz?
Andrew Nelson
>3 spores we going hive?
Jackson Allen
Hoping for a lategame ZvZ. Complete with Queens and Devourers.
Why are people so negative? Just watch the game and talk about BW instead of complaining.
Isaac Mitchell
If Starcraft dies, would Tastosis be forced to get real jobs?
Korean Starcraft is on life support and limping along.
Alexander Carter
Action looks like a boomer though
Jaxson Lee
Remember that gay song Ken Ashcraft or whatever made gushing about Nick Tasteless?
I've only gotten 15 seconds into that song, and it's just too embarassing to continue.
Asher Cook
Gotta fight incel with incel.
Dylan Williams
Starcraft won't die. ASL is still doing good, it's just KSL that's fucked because Blizzard
Ian Martinez
They would just cast a different esport
Colton Taylor
i think it's mostly the sc2 players. have you ever watched a GSL stream? i don't mean that in a rude way. the chat is insufferable there, everyone is constantly crying about balance. there's some annoying people in the sc1 streams but notice how no one ever cries about balance because it's pointless. that alone culls so much of the nonstop shit talk, so all sc2 players can cry about is basically the game being dead which no brood war player really cares about because it's relevant again in korea and the community is happy with small victories.
Hudson Perez
>ASL is still doing good,
ASL is smalltime compared to things like OGL's. The GOMTV tournaments were never the biggest, just got the most attention outside of Korea because they had English casting. ASL is GOMTV tier, but never as big as the bigger tournaments.
Asher Campbell
This is literally the first time ever there's been negativity about Brood War in these threads. The SC2 baby sticks out like a sore thumb it's pathetic.
Christopher Ross
They'll just go back to casting tekken
Jaxson Baker
Half of broodwar units are broken nonsense that they all balance each other out.
Jonathan Ramirez
by never using them?
Hudson Wright
Have you seen Nick Tasteless Plott casting LoL, or shooters or anything else? He knows nothing about them.
Aaron Rivera
Only unit that's never used is the Scout. Poor Scout.
Ethan Sullivan
He'll just jump into the next esport which nobody comparably knows nothing about. It's entirely possible to crossover games his brother did it multiple times
Carson Turner
He doesn't know anything about brood war either. Doesn't stop him.
Jose Fisher
>believing memes
He knows SC:BW well. He lives and breathes the games. Once his hands recover, he'll be in top form again.
Ian Watson
don't respond, no point
you don't have to know anything about a game to cast it. i've almost never watched an esport with a commentator that has an idea what they are talking about. that's not even a statement to me being good either. artosis and tasteless have a long legacy, if SC ever actually died (not likely) they'd migrate easily.
they were talking about the new season of sc2 ladder maps on artosis's show, it looks like sc2 maps are moving back towards BW-style more gimmicky maps like one with a path directly through the middle of the map that has zones that slow you down
Colton Lewis
>gg >gg >gg
Three GG.
Lucas Ward
someone post the webm where mini spergs out
Andrew Jones
>they were talking about the new season of sc2 ladder maps on artosis's show,
How can people care enough that there's like, shows on this? You watch GSL or KSL, and then that should be enough.
Julian Richardson
>cant lose shuttles if you only build zealots
Jayden Campbell
the studio they're in now has a little cafe/lounge/kitchen area next to the stage. it's actually kinda cool, they had a map of it somewhere, it was in a basement in the city
Brayden Adams
Their BW only episode was a good intro look into the scene
Lucas Gonzalez
wish they'd replace these recycled break bits with titty sambo
Eh, I put it on in the background sometimes while i'm working. But they obviously get enough viewers to keep it going
Jonathan Allen
That map has the same problem where it's just a couple paths winding through a bunch of ramps and chokes. The slow zones are neat, but I'm curious if pros won't just ignore them entirely if going through them is as fast or slower than going around with the ramp side paths. Apparently the Korean pros are already vetoing that map so much in online tournaments that they just asked the guy running one tournament to stop wasting their time by not having it pre-vetoed.
Colton Sullivan
>Let's do Proxy again the absolute dishonesty of Toss right now
Matthew Roberts
THE DISHONESTY ON THIS PROTOSS
PUNISH HIM
Jaxon Williams
Was it anything like "Hyungjoon Becomes A Progamer"? That show was top fucking tier.
Cameron Torres
Mini doesn't respect 4GG, and just wants the matches to end fast.
reminder that forgg lucked through the qualifiers, he only had to beat light offracing as protoss due to flash dropping out. I don't think he's ready to be playing tournaments again just yet
Isaiah Adams
I don't disagree, sadly Maybe next time
Dominic Taylor
forgg bad username. more like forbg
Easton Wood
Would you pay a grand to get a monthly phonecall from tasteless?
The entire concept of this makes me laugh because it sounds exactly like something he would suggest
That'd be so awkward. You don't know the guy, but he's like, contractually obliged to just call you up once a month. So like, are you friends? You're hiring what amounts to like, a friend prostitute. What would you even talk about?
Angel Hill
gotta get that drug money somehow
Jason Murphy
Think he could do ASMR over the phone, or read chapters of War of the Worlds.
Kayden Ramirez
Can you even imagine that phone call "Hey user, this is Nick" "sup, you fat and disease riddled orson welles" "no refunds"
Download Twitch Leecher or some other program and put in twitch.tv/videos/422421296 search. If you do it before broadcast is finished, you get up until this point. If you wait a little, you get the whole thing. You can also download the beginning and the rest while watching.
>as you approach orgasm tasteless whispers with true passion "this is looking like the beginning of the end, he's going tap out any second" >GEE GEEEEEEE
I miss that cloaked flying nigga like you wouldn't believe
Jack Powell
I hate when they say "this might be the beginning of the end" when it's already the end of the end.
Julian Torres
if everybody who posts in these threads clubbed in 10 bucks we would conference call tasteless to describe to him our disappointment in his physical condition
Daniel Phillips
Oh wow, what a great joke. This is the first time I heard it used in context. I would upvote if I could.
Caleb Gutierrez
>You're hiring what amounts to like, a friend prostitute In America we call those "therapists"
Owen Bennett
Silence!
Wyatt Green
>isn't Tasteless kind of fat or unhealthy now? feels weird looking at him atm.
He's lived the sedentary "nerd life" combined with "fratboy life" and it's starting to catch up to him. He has nothing serious, just he drinks too much and never moves. Literally all he needs to do is stop drinking and hit the gym and he'd be in great shape.
Easton Adams
>So Nick, considering you're both a fatass and a drunk, can you still get your dick up?
Seems they're only interviewing people who advance to the next round, instead of the winner of every match. We don't know why KSL would do that, but that's the pattern so far.
how is a guy with broken arms going to break my arms?
Daniel Hughes
>BREAK YOUR LIMBS *steal your wrist ligaments
Juan Myers
It does exactly the same as ASL. ASL only interviews the people who advance, but since the KSL splits it up into multiple days you're not gonna see the interview till next week.
Jacob Robinson
Sucks to be you, JD doesn't have wrist ligaments anymore.
Gavin Price
Oh yeah, that's actually true. The difference is just that KSL has ridiculously long group stages, then.
Jack Perez
How will JD break my limbs without wrists?
Hunter Richardson
ksl is just a shit format. only sc2 zoomers think it's superior.
Carson Brown
Yes, with limited intel Forgg's gut reaction move was to slowly ferry his buildings around, not fly them to an area where he knows 100% his most valuable resource can't be hit, all the while protoss eats up the map. You can't get into a base trade scenario and know exactly what to do because every base trade is completely different. So yes, Forgg conceived his wall idea in the moment, because that's what you fucking do when you're in that position, just like everything Mini chose to do with his resources. You're a fucking retard. It's obvious you've never played a game of starcraft, let alone played out a base trade scenario. You only watch and make contrarian reactions in hindsight. Stop trying to be cool when all you are is a dumb faggot.
It's true I got map vision but pros make amateur mistakes when it comes to base trades. He made wrong decisions which led to his defeat. I can't make it any clearer than that. If he was a better player he would have won easily because a few dragoons and a shuttle vs that army would be easy pickings. Again, he didn't even destroy the nexus and left his tank to get killed off from the high ground. That's a huge noob mistake
Luke Howard
Its easy to be a SC1 pro cause only 15 people still play the game
I'll hand them over for free if it means he can return to his former glory ;_;7
Austin Jenkins
It's not so much the format, but more of how long everything takes.
Wyatt Hill
Have you never seen double elim before?
Jason Harris
Korea looks like a paradise.
Any downsides?
Levi Foster
Vainest country on earth
Blake Thompson
No niggers though.
Oliver Collins
When do these vids usually go on youtube?
John Nelson
If you want the basic videos of each match, they already made a video on twitch of each match. You can fastforward through any commericials that are still in there. twitch.tv/starcraft/videos?filter=highlights&sort=time Takes a bit for the youtube videos I believe.
