You don't seem to understand how many people are unwilling to use emulators either for moral reasons or because they have never done it before which makes them think it's too complicated and that they can't. I guarantee you if Earthbound were released on Steam tomorrow a shit load of people who had never played it would buy it and play it, especially if it got the attention from Youtubers and other communities that Undertale got.

I swear Cave Story is the most overrated game of all fucking time.
It's a short, easy platformer with some downright terrible levels, only carried by a few good bosses.
It showed up at a time where quality indie games didn't exist and started the trend, but goddamn people need to take off the nostalgia goggles.
