Guy plays highly acclaimed decades-old game for the first time in 2019
The town made him stupid.
Make the year 2018
As opposed to praise it despite not liking it?
old bad
new good
Haha
every half life 1 or 2 thread
why should he like it? only reason you're liking it is probably nostalgia. by todays standards that old game has dated too much so unless it's some heavily story based game there's nothing it can offer to him unless he's some younger video game enthuasist and want to find out about older games too.
get over yourself and deal with the fact that no everybody going to like everything. especially what you happen to like.
Just because something is old doesn't inherently mean that it's dated beyond value, you fucking underageb& mongoloid. Is that often true? Sure. But there are plenty of older games that still hold up today, and the OP was implying that to be the case. Go buy the newest iPhone. I'm sure your old one from 5 months ago is woefully outdated by now.
>he expects some form of good taste from the zoomer
yea it does. only exceptions are some 2d stuff and adventure games like monkey isalnd for example.
there's games from early 2010 and they're already dated like most especially 3rd person games.
if there's plenty of those games why don't you name them?
Off the top of my head and only the shit that I've actually played
>Doom (played it for the first time this year and had more fun with it than a lot of modern shooters, so fuck off)
>OOT
>FFT, FFTA, FFX
>Commander Keen 4 & 5
>Diablo 2
>WC3
>C&C: Generals
>Morrowind (inb4 hurrr nostalgia despite me playing it for the first time a couple years ago and enjoying it despite the combat being shit)
>System Shock 2
>Thief 1 & 2
>FO1, FO2, FO Tactics
>Icewind Dale
>Planescape Torment
All of these are still very enjoyable games today. Now either fuck off back to wherever you came from or get some taste and lurk more. I'm done arguing with a moron that deals in absolutes.
gameplay is timeless. literally no change ever. kids think the're ahead of the times playing on keyboard + mouse on PC. was doing that in quake 1
Oh you're serious
HAHAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAAHAHAAHAHA
>t. 13 y.o.
I'm gonna fuck your mom, then marry her, and then fucking ground you, mutt.
Reminds me of the Yea Forums goat list, I wouldn't even touch 90%of these games again and neither does anyone else because they didn't age well.
Games are supposed to be fun, when guy doesn't like something he probably has seen better already.
I change nothing and release it as is.
>Everyone shits all over it and gives it a 3/10 because by 2019 standards OOT is fucking garbage
you immediately resorting to autistic screeching makes me think you don't believe in these even yourself.
you just enjoyed them cause nostalgia, doesn't mean they aren't dated as hell.
just imagine you were now as old as you were then when you first played some of those games even though your autism is making this very hard.
nearly half of those games are also rts games pretty funny
also fun thing all of those games are released near 2000 except doom and keen, makes me think you're a zoomer yourself
that list just oozes your nostalgia, you're maybe almost 20 or in your early 20's and think yeah those games are the best still cause you happened to play them when they came out.
they are also really dated, either you don't know what dated means or you're just too dumb to realize it.
where's resident evils, donkey kongs, super marios, tetris, pong?
gameplay is NOT timeless. game design and gameplay evolves. when the change gets a huge new gap the old one becomes dated. it might still be alright but it's dated.
most games age like milk so it's understandable
growing up on ps1, genesis, snes, and flash games and can go back to any game and either like or appreciate it.
my younger cousin who grew up on the 360? he needs his graphics. he needs games to be frustration free or it's quitting time. every game has to handhold him but not bore him for a minute. poor guy is missing out on a lot.
>gameplay is NOT timeless. game design and gameplay evolves. when the change gets a huge new gap the old one becomes dated. it might still be alright but it's dated.
Examples? I propose that gameplay doesn't change, graphics is what changes. It's graphics you have a beef with plain and simple.
>tfw Skyrimbaby
>playing Morrowind blew my fucking mind
>trying to figure out how the fuck DOS works so I can emulate Arena
>media ages
Only brainlets fail to appreciate older games and sees everything before 2000 as dated.
