Use ranged weapons for panicking employees. Close range weapons are no good for what you're trying to do.

tip: while you're working on Child of Galaxy, you can use it to see which work was switched, because it's the same for every abnormality. Note that it changes every meltdown.

If you get a perfect on One Sin and trigger his sanity restoration, can you use it to heal a panicked employee?

How do I level up new employees efficiently? I'm on day 14 with only 3 V employees, I have King of Greed who ALWAYS escapes which makes grinding inefficient as she's always hit by a meltdown. At what point would I be using LOB to buff stats?

You really shouldn't be using WAWs or ALEPHs to level up your agents despite the big gains, too much risk of them breaching or killing your agents. Use HEs and TETHs you've fully researched to level up your employees to about 3 then you can start doing big boy work with them. Alternatively you can just spend the LOB to buff your dudes up to 3 in everything but justice so they can start doing harder work immediately, if you're managing well you probably have 50+ LOB stored up. If you really insist on training them through work then at least give them decent fortitude and suits so they don't die.

I keep reserve LOB around in case I need to pump up a new employee for a specific purpose, but I like to pump up new employees to level 2 so they can go right to easy HEs. Zayin gives barely any EXP.

I really like the visual EXP gain mod because it's so annoying to think about.

Blue Star if you've got it. Queen Bee also works pretty well but I'd make absolutely sure whoever Works with her has fuckboats of Temperance because she's so goddamn pissy.

Your guy's actual stats are 58, as shown on that screen. Does that guy have a gift that buffs temperance? He might be getting buffed just enough to spill over into level 5 temperance during the day, but the end screen is showing his level without any buff. Check on the next day, he should be level 5 temperance again.

because for the most part they can kill in exchange for stat increases but only high level agents can safely use tools but don't need them cause they're high level. I think tools should generate extra PE boxes from work while giving some debuff like lowering their mental state, dealing extra damage on a negative PE box, or increasing the threshold for a positive/okay result

Literally have one other agent do work on another abnormality next to it. Once you know how long that work takes, you can use that work as a soft timer - once they're done, stop the prayer.
Notes will never kill you if you don't take 60 damage and you can just do easy work.

each department gives you a bonus based on clerks still alive. there are also some abnormality conditions tied to them

Usually they're just background, useful for being Fodder that gets eaten to slow down Ordeals. Some Abnormals, one specifically will absolutely shit all over you if you let it get a hold of them though.

Those are clerks. The more of them that are alive, the more effective your department buffs are.

They give buffs depending on their department and what percentage of them are alive. Mouse over the roman numeral near the health regen cooldown bar above the main department room to see what does what.

It sounds a little bit stupid how they made ALEPH gears simply strong enough to solo ALEPH threats, while also making lower risk gear obsolete at later game with this multiplier system. The game seems to force you to equip your employee according to the threat level, i.e. TETH gears for containment zone with mostly TETH abnormalities, but then proceed to fuck you with ordeals, which were guaranteed to spawn in every departments, and will fuck over everyone who wasn't in a WAW or ALEPH armor.

Large male humanoid with no physical features, think of a giant flesh colored mannequin. order of works from best to worst Attachment, Instinct, Insight, repression.
If work is bad the abnormality will kill the employee with a high probability
If the work is normal the abnormality will kill the employee with a low probability
If Red hood, Queen of hatred, fire girl or any other "female" abnormality breach, its counter will hit zero and it will breach immediately and target them
If anyone other than RYONA RANGER supresses the abnormality it will return to its container and its counter will reset
If RYONA RANGER surpreesses an abnormality succesfully it will fully heal and its stats will increase by a multiple of 2.
Its super fast.

ALEPH Tool Abnormality: Nth Dimensional Slide Whistle D-66-19(-A)

Any employee using this tool may use it to teleport instantly to any abnormality currently outside of its containment. This pulls the whistle 'out' with appropriate sfx.
Once the whistle has been used once, it must be used again from the same room the Employee teleported from. Failure to do so(or leaving the room or attempting to teleport to another abnormality) creates a dimensional distortion classed ALEPH in the room instead.
This distortion cycles through all four damage types to everyone in the Department at once, starting at 1 damage and increasing to 2 after every four ticks.
When it reaches 10 damage, the Abnormality's size will increase to the size of a main room(think Information Team) and it will begin to slowly rotate(and glitch and twitch and static and all sorts of weird shit) towards its containment cell. Any employee without Prudence V caught by the distortion will instantly be teleported to a random location and take 150 damage of a random type. Employees with it will take the 'regular' damage ticks of the abnormality, still increasing with time.
When the abnormality reaches its containment, it will collapse inward and instantly kill everyone still in the Department in question in a violent cascade of static and ripped reality.
This abnormality cannot be suppressed, but will always return to its cage.

It's trial and error for new abnormalities. You will just have to reset a lot of days if you're unwilling to send in sacrificial pawns to test the waters.

But also that's canonically and thematically what you should be doing. Sending in people to die to see what happens.

Well I don't enjoy outright spoiling things, but from memory Angela intentionally compromises parts of the Facility in order to kill off a few staff members because of a weird interaction of employee deaths increasing box output potential, by killing off Wolf and getting free Red deals, the system essentially would fail because Anomalies breaking out could constantly be shut down by an endless stream of Red's. Also by having the potential of Red V Wolf, it actively increases the collateral of employee death, and also Anomalies can't actually ever fully die in the first place within the Facility, the Corporation isn't intervening, Wolf is actually dying but keeps getting revived because of some fuckery regarding the Extraction and Record departments.

Finally manage to do the suppressing and day's energy quota is done. Have 2 pips short from the dusk ordeal. Decide to try the ordeal.

Ordeal starts and I instantly lose couple of my workers, releasing the monk. Got wiped by fucking food worms and monk. Maybe I'll settle on the suppress on the retry.

I think one of the upper sector cutscenes had someone refer to one as "tin can" but I might be misremembering.

It’s invisible to your employees, you just have a camera filter that highlights it as a bundle of pixels, so you can’t just let it escape and assume your people will take care of it. You need to manually target it.
When breaching it casually floats down hallways, and when it comes into contact with a person it’ll deal huge damage and if it kills them then they’ll get their limbs torn off and have their remains levitate in the air. I like to think of it as a lesser King of Greed in that evacuating hallways while kiting it with guns is the optimal way to fight
