But you all should know that Kirk Hammer is the real weapon of choice of true hunters. If you're planning to spend the next year playing a non-hardcore character, you should probably pick Kirk. It works with all classes, from rogue to hunter, and is as enjoyable to play as it is rewarding.
Kirkhammer is a special weapon because ersatz weapons are a lot more fun than true ones. You don't see a lot of "weapons that do less damage and less reliably in combat against enemies," which is an obvious point, but there is a reason why a weapon designed to do something as simple as making an enemy miss is called one. It can't really be argued that Kirkhammer is a weapon that is the least valuable of all the weapons, but as a special weapon of choice, or a choice where your character won't be fighting a lot of enemies, it's actually pretty sweet.
