Are they actually gonna nerf shields? I have been using shield + spear and I am constantly at the top of the leaderboards, but I can see that shields need to be modified to use more stamina or something

Pro tip, use either light legs or none at all, looks worse but noone can ever even hit the legs, and those points can be used for something else

3/3/2 and maul. The stab to overhead morph gets 95% of people because maul is so slow they always mistime the parry. And even if they do parry it I just feign x3 then side swipe their head for a 1 shot.
The only problem with maul is all these big brain plays get bodied by somebody with no fear who just m1 spams

Change nearly ALL the keybinds and game functions. I went from going consistent 30 deaths, and 5 kills PER GAME to 12 kills and 6 deaths per game at worst. All from must spending 10 minutes changing settings.

I've avoided touching shields for 40 hours of my play time and last time I played I tried it just once. Man that thing is bullshit. I died a shit ton with it though, guess I don't understand positioning with it yet.

Dunno about nobody, I've stabbed plenty of kniggers in the legs and demolished a few when I nailed their shins even though they seem like they should have been able to tank the hit.

Templars put cloaks on their helmets historically both for decoration and I assume to help prevent the helmet from overheating in the desert sun because greathelms had fucking terrible insulation.

Should I be getting 40 - 50 fps at medium settings 1080p using a GTX960 2gb, i5 4590 and 8gb DDR3 rig?

The lowest form of knigger, they deserve to get quadruple teamed, hacked limb from limb, and then have every based ser who slew them taunt in unison. The only thing which gives me more pleasure than killing them is poking cavalry kniggers off their horses and killing them on the ground like dogs.

Is a proper lute range even possible for a future update?

Git gud + git bloodlust and work on your awareness. Many times i've seen people mindlessly charge to help one teammate alone and you can guess just about how well that works. Knowing where to be, when to be and being able to beat the average shitter consistently in 1v1 is how i'm topping scoreboard every single game.

None of it is that quick. I'm literally always number 1 on the scoreboard and at best you're looking at about 450-650 gold per game (depending on length, longer pays more) for matches that take 20+ minutes. That's 60 more games, or ~20 more hours just for one helm.

I'm gonna do it but holy shit, I also wanted the eveningstar skin and it's about the same price.

No but you do need very much to pay attention to the people around you and what's going on. It's very easy for you to turn and look somewhere else and then get chopped by a guy who wasn't there a second ago. If you see more than one person coming at you and there's nobody already moving to back you up turn right around and get the fuck out of there until you pass guys headed back the way you came, don't even bother trying to fight multiple people until you're adept at whatever weapon you have and know exactly how to beat any weapon you're up against. Don't rush onto points unless you can actually see other people with you, don't start swinging before you know what you're swinging at, stick with groups of people don't go off alone if you can help it, if your rush meets an enemy rush and several of your buddies instantly get one-shot by maulfaggots, horsefaggots, bowfaggots, or any other kind of faggot start pulling back right away because you've already lost momentum and if you stick around all you'll do is get yourself killed.

Spear feels shitty when you're swarmed. Short spear+shield is maximum bullshit though.

Quick victories don't pay out much, if your team rolls the enemy in under 10 minutes you're only getting like 100 gold even if you were the top player in the game.

Recurve bow if you're looking to pepper the shit out of people and annoy them, and are sick enough to headshot all the retards without helmets. Crossbow if you want to punch through armour from up close and pick off injured people. Longbow if you want to be an autistic sniper.
Crossbow's bolts fire faster meaning they're easier to hit. Plus it does more than the recurve bow against armour, and costs a lot less than the longbow.

The mordhau technique on longswords? Better damage to armored enemies, and the animation set throws a lot of people off so you can get even basic horizontal swings in. The downside is the horrible reach and lack of cleave, so only ever use it when you're fighting a single heavily armored opponent. Instead of slashing a full t3 armor guy 4-5 times you can just club him 2-3 times.

They need their hitbox to be the shield and not just a bubble infront of the user, so the user has to aim the block at least instead of just be facing a general direction, it would mean the shape of the shield actually matters, or just put some forward motion to the kick attack. Add a perk that gives your kicks forward motion or something that does more stamina drain on shields or something. Could also do with perks related to chambering and counters, like if you pull off a chamber you drain the enemies stamina in a chunk, do it twice within like 5 seconds and you disarm them, this would stop things like rapier spammers and people just repetitively spamming thrust attacks in general.

That'd be nice and allow them to add different costs to shields. Pavises could cost 3, Heaters/Kites/Targes 2, and Bucklers 1.

You didnt get good, youre using a maul. Same with Zwei. You can go full retard sprinting around wide swinging and easily top score. Ive done both with a 3/3/3 maul and a 1/2/1 zwei

Any big 2h spamming + sprint will get good scores if your timing is decent. Don't have to feint or do anything other than swing.

I've been finding billhook works great for both poking and chopping, especially against the intended target of cavalry when they come on you with an executioner's or some other sword expecting to hit you before they're in your range and you poke them right out of the saddle.

It's more of a crutch weapon.

It's not broken like the rapier and you can style on shitters with it pretty easily because it's so slow and short ranged that it throws off their parry rhythm and makes you hard to follow but any skilled pole or swordsman with the blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ will lay you out repeatedly and you won't be able to do anything to fight back.
