Probably not. Emulation is easy and available. I've also bought several of those games on other platforms already. It's a solid selection of games, though the exclusion of Rondo of Blood and X68000 is a shame.

cautiously optimistic about bloodstained, we'll see soon if its good i guess. they improved the visuals somewhat if you havent seen, though i would still prefer sprites.

Yes, a bit disappointed with the selection though. No X68000, no Rondo and/or Dracula X and no Adventure Rebirth, which you can't even buy anymore. I don't expect the Contra collection to be any better.

I have no good reason to get it... But, I'm also a big Castlevania fan so what the hell, of course I'm gonna buy it. I haven't actually played Kid Dracula so I'll get some value of it I suppose, I'm excited to see the full E-Book as well.

I think it looks good, I mean again I can understand people's complaints about the graphics, character design, art direction yadda yadda but at the end of the day the game play at least looks fulfilling enough. I still wanna see the initial reaction though.

Not particularly, though it has as much in common with Castlevania as a series as something like Lament of Innocence or Lords of Shadow does, I suppose.

Not really, it has no platforming and you progress by collecting "keys" instead of upgrades that give you more movement options.

The level design and thought of enemy placement in Fromsoftware's Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne games is actually some what reminiscent of Castlevania, Fromsoft could probably use some of what they know to make an interesting 3dvania.

The original game was pretty rough around the edges, as seen with Richter and Shaft's dialogue. Since the script is short as is, they translated it again when they brought in the new voice actors.

I guess to contextualize Belmont's Revenge. I'm not really sure; it's not like they bothered to include Legends and I don't think Legends is much worse than Adventure.
Belmont's Revenge fucking rocks, though. Hopefully including it in this collection gets more people to play it. It's underrated.
