Yes, but with the endgame level demons, and IIRC level scaling(where you get less exp from lower level enemies) stops being a thing so you can generally just breeze right through up to where the ending choices are.

I highly recommend making a save file at the route split and reloading from there. If you do NG+ not only do you have to replay most of the game, it'll be super boring since you are overpowered and beat each fight without any thought required.

Yep, though if you’ve done well throughout the game, you can get points that unlock special NG+ options such as carrying all of your cracked skills with you or bringing your current level demons to mow down the first few days.
Also, Naoya’s route is the fucking best.

Very much so. The new content in Overclocked adds more to the endings, gives you more playtime, and new demons.

8th Day Chaos route is one of the best in the whole series, imo, and the Law route is actually pretty good as well. I feel that they’re definitely worth it.

I don't expect any of those, and I don't want a Nocturne remake, but I am hopeful that they might make some new spinoffs now that they finally have the HD Demon models to work with. I won't pretend to know what goes on behind closed doors at ATLUS, but I have to imagine that if making a new spinoff was ever brought into discussion one of the main points against it would have been the lack of HD Demon models and one of the main points for the PS2 spinoffs was how much assets they could re-use.

One of the biggest things I'm hoping for with SMTV's release is the revival of some form of spinoff since Persona gets Arena and Dancing games at the least. It could be Devil Summoner, or Devil Survivor. Either way I'll be happy. Nocturne truthfully doesn't need a remake, but one of the lead developer's Yamai stated that they had it in heavy consideration. I expect it to happen after V honestly.

I know Yamai mentioned he'd be interested in remaking Nocturne, but I'd be disappointed if they remade any of the PS2-era games, partially because I think they're all pretty great games already and what changes could be made to improve them are either too significant for me to have any expectation that they would change them or too insignificant to justify an entire remake, and also just because I'd like something new. If they were to remake something I think their time would be much better spent on SMT1 and 2, which actually stand to gain a lot from a remake unlike the PS2 games.

The spinoff I'm most hopeful for is a new Devil Summoner, but I wouldn't want it to be Raidou, I love Raidou, but having a Raidou game without Kaneko just doesn't sit right with me for some reason, I'm not opposed to having Doi for other stuff but for Raidou specifically it just feels like it would feel off to me, and I don't expect Kaneko to come back, so without him I'd rather they just leave Raidou be. There's more to Devil Summoner than just Raidou though, and I'd really like to see them do an original Devil Summoner game.

Not to my knowledge, but it's probably just ATLUS being weird about how they release their games as usual. They seem to never port anything unless they're porting it with new content or rebalancing the game in some way, even back to SMT1 and 2 they were doing that even if it was in more minor ways than they've been doing since Nocturne Maniax.

I’d definitely be up for something new but the amount of Persona milking for the time being has me doubtful.

I don't expect it, but I don't think it's that unrealistic that ATLUS make it themselves. They did do the DeSu2 Record Break content themselves after all.

I would love to see it, but I feel like if they wanted to get back into spinoffs they would go with something that has a bit of a folllowing already to start with. Anything brand new would be nice though, I was happy to see the Persona team take a break from Persona with Catherine and now again with Re: Fantasy, even though I greatly enjoy Persona as well, and I'd be glad to see something new from the SMT team as well in place of an existing IP.

I don't think the Persona milking has that much of a bearing on anything to do with SMT, it's mostly just outsourced and what isn't outsourced is unlikely to take manpower from the SMT team.

Focus STR instead of magic, if you're going for the true demon ending (which you should be unless you plan on playing the game multiple times) MAG becomes useless at endgame. VIT and AGI come second, LUK doesn't affect crit rate in this game so it's not important.

Nocturne's HM is easy as fuck, you only get fucked by cancer back attacks before you get Minds Eye. Hardtype makes all the stats worthwhile and back attacks can be prevented by pumping stats into AGI/LUCK. It generally requires more thought than the Vanilla game, the AI isn't totally retarded and it isn't just spamming buffs to win. Physical is now good in the early to midgame while magic isn't shit in the lategame.

Kyuukaku Megami Tensei,SMT I,II,and if... all have translations, there's no reason you shouldn't have a computer that can run all the ps2 games, Citra can let you play SMTIV,IVA, Soul Hackers, both Devil Survivors, hell, with a strong enough pc you can emulate Persona 5 for PS3
only ones you can't really play are Nine and Majin Tensei, since those don't really have translations. Also Imagine, but even then probably wouldn't be worth the trouble.

Summon a Demon is the only correct option. You're going to die if you don't. The only real trick is hoping that you're the Messiah rather than the Law Hero or Chaos Hero.
You can tell who wouldn't be a Messiah based on their memepost of choice.
Law/Chaosfags immediately get demoted to Messiah's friend position and as such, you won't survive the apocalypse unless you can convince your Messiah friend to go your alignment.

The only problem with hardtype is that the enemies get really strong in the lategame really quick and it doesn't really have a noticeable curve, it just shoots up so you can go in not with expel/death/Soul Divide and get assraped. You really want these skills so you can party wipe them before they get a turn.
