As for Dark Matter trilogy, pic related is the best simply because he carries the franchise's trademark trait: Copy abilities. Easily the most versatile of any character we could get.

Joker HAD moveset potential. The reality is that Sakurai is an unpredictable crazy person who can sometimes give a plant a working moveset and sometimes can't think of anything unique for a humanoid character

I fail to see what Adeleine could copy from besides Inkling's forward Smash. The only technical summoner Smash had lost his only summoning move and no longer counts, so a new character with a similar tactic would be most appreciated.

Joker was ripe for a summoning moveset or even just straight ripping off Heritage for the Future. He might not have been the apex of creative video game characters but they could have definitely done better than pulling menu-only "moves" for his moveset and a modified limit mechanic
