I like some of them, like the Hawaiian patterns, but most of them are just ugly trash that blatantly clashes with the original art style. It hurts even more that the devs probably know this but they put them in anyways because edgy richfaggots will buy them up anyways. Scout truly is the cancer of TF2. Everything about him is annoying, from his weapons that do OP damage, to how fast he is, and even his voice. He's super easy to play, too. All you have to do is keep running and jumping. And you better do that, otherwise a gentle breeze will kill you. If Valve fixed or got rid of the Scout, TF2 would be a better game.

I don't say this often, especially because there are "bigger fish to fry" in terms of game balancing, but I feel Scout should only have 2-shot weapons like FaN.
I've got 500 hours on scout, probably at least 400 of that is with the scattergun. In the past few months I finally tried the FaN. I find it to be worse than the scattergun, but it brought a lot of enjoyment back to the class for me. Scout always felt like a braindead class to me. Playing with scattergun always just felt like shutting my brain off and strafing and spamming. The FaN takes more thought and better decision making. Instead of strafing and spamming, I bide for the perfect line-ups, and have to manage my vulnerable reloads.
All in all, I enjoy it a lot more and don't want to go back. The scouts advantages perfectly compliment the double-barrel's vulnerabilities. It's a more fun way to play the class, but it's just never more effective than having a scattergun.
