Vampires are protected from mages thanks to humans though aren't they? Humans existing is what stops mages from being able to do whatever they want, on top of that humans are vamp's main sustinance, Ventrue are the guys sitting at the top of the Cam and they can't feed on rats so they would never allow anything to threaten their main food supply.

Then you have to take into consideration what the Werewolves would do if Vamps started actively trying to bring about the end of the planet, no reason to keep a low profile if it's all or nothing, same goes for the Church and their Hunters, fairly sure someone somewhere would sense the danger long before anyone took such drastic action, and then you'd have guys with True Faith smiting everything just by existing.

Yes. I always say Blade is probably the closest thing to a VtMB movie. Frost is basically trying to Diablerize all the other elder vampires and Blade, Whistler and Smiling Jack seem similar in quite a few ways, Blade saving Karen isn't too different from you making Heather your ghoul, and the whole intro scene to Blade feels like becoming a vampire and walking into The Asylum for the first time and both have iconic songs.

I really like it and still watch it once in a while. Second movie was decent but too heavy on CGI in some parts. Third movie was shit.

They'll give you information about the changes in V5, the second inquisition etc. They're more of a compilation of short stories than anything. I especially enjoyed the Camarilla one, whereas the Anarch expansion made me feel like as if I was reading the diary of a 18 year old guy who just learned about politics. It has some good parts like the Lucerne Commune though.

For me, Grout's mansion was really the big artistic highlight of the game. After awhile in the mansion I became lost, the doors and pathways began to not make any sense. It was something like three in the morning and in my sleep deprived state I truly felt like I was delving into the depths of madness and when I finally escaped the mansion, I felt like a tremendous burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I mean, pick one of the 4. None of them are great. Nosferatu is the most delusional at this rate, it doesn't make any sense why it wouldn't just be a sewer. Neither Malk or Nosf are good at all for starter clan gameplay, nor do they make any sense for voluntary diablerie. Gangrel could work but the DLC points to them and I don't know why they wouldn't make the image like an exterior alleyway. Lasombra could work but they're already a bit similar to the Ventrue and as we know them they don't exactly fit in this sort of run down scenery other than the shadow idea. Pick your poison I guess. Any other clans are just too out there.

Bloodlines 1 was kept alive and is remembered at all today because of a dedicated fan community. Yeah we got over the diablerie thing and most of the thread has been clan stuff. In V5, the Cammy's have become so desperate that they are now press-ganging thin-bloods, and to keep them loyal are dangling authorized diablerie, so it does have a basis in lore. As for how: In the mass thin-blood siring we are going to be a part of, there are going to be seven other survivors known as the 'unsanctioned seven'. Presumably during the game, blood hunts are going to be called and we are going to compete against them to diablerize Kindred, and I guess we can choose to accept or reject this depending on the clan.

It's why you start as a thinblood, its why they are only allowing 2 disciplines from a clan, and it's why this game won't have ways in which you can accidentally fuck your playthrough over like in the first. Cutting out what you have deemed highly anticipated content is a non issue. Repackaging them as a highly anticipated free DLC is almost just straight up a better option for both audiences. It makes you fuckers water at the mouth for a little longer, and allows the rest to experience the game once at least once with now a new way to spice up their playthroughs. You people don't seem to understand why moving the most popular clan to free DLC is simply a better marketing strategy. You also seem to suggest that the removing Malk or Nosf from the start will cause controvery, but one of those is already out. Toreador have no real distinct niche, which seems to be what the devs are looking for in the starting clans. A unique role to make each playstyle different. Venture will likely be the social/diplomat route over Tories since Dominate has more possibilites over presence in gameplay.

The Lasombrafags are gonna be the saddest. Malks, Gangrels, and Nos will eventually make it the game in some form, either in the main game or in DLC. There's no guarantee Lasombra(or any clan outside the core 7) will even make it as NPCs

I really con't understand the lasombra meme. Personally I think it's Gangrel, because it looks like an abandoned place on the outskirts of town; perfect for a loner. It could also be Malkavian, though I don't really buy that. I doubt it's Nosferatu because they're the "sewer rats" and that's clearly not a sewer because there's a window.

Nosferatu don't necessarily have to use sewers as their haven. An abandoned dilapidated building serves that purpose just the same and that's the impression I get from that image. Besides all the disciplines have two powers at least and Obfuscate with cloak of shadows & mask of a thousand faces will even make it easier to use such building as their haven.

Toreador is the most likeable clan. Also they've explcitly stated abilities are combat/movemoment/social. If you're going to break down archetypes into anything it should be that.

That's true, but the images are meant to be strong hints for the clan that's being introduced. The Toreador haven looks cozy and fashionable albeit with an old fashioned streak, as befits the high-society vibe. Ventrue is a fancy office on a Skyscraper. Brujah haven gives off the barely-functioning piece of garbage vibe their clan has. Tremere has some arcane symbols on the floor. Why would they represent the Nosferatu with something that's merely plausible instead of something that players instantly associate with the Nossies?

Let's not forget that many Nosferatu build their own underground fortresses, it doesn't have necessarily to be connected to the sewers. Hell, in Brazil they have the Amaganti Warren, a huge underground fortress. They are very proud about it.

I instantly associated it with Nosferatu. It's a run down utility tunnel/service exit. Nossies are all about being rats behind the walls, running the hidden refuse filled paths and delapidated sprawl everyone else forgot about. Nossies are infamous as intel gatherers, if they just set up shop in sewers they wouldn't be so sucessful as they are.

I don't think they would bother with creating a new beginning episode that lasts few hours only for two clans. I also don't understand why you wouldn't to become the either clan as a thinblood. Becoming a "true" vampire and having access to "true" vampiric disciplines will greatly increase your chances of survival in a time where the Second Inquisition happening on all fronts and Thinbloods being hunted for sport by the other kindred. Having the insight or being able to use obfuscate at the cost of your "sanity" and appearance sounds like a much better deal to than to be on the receiving end of some hunter's stake, or worse another kindred's.

Different settings. I know nWoD gets a lot of shit, but frankly I had a blast playing through a game set in Chicago. I think it ultimately it's going to be down to your storyteller and how they handle the lore, the new setting is far from unsalvageable. Also, funnily enough the general power-structure dynamics of Chicago in nWoD are pretty reminiscent of how LA was in Bloodlines.

I'm interested to see what they do for it. If they have good writing, dialogue, and fun hubs where you can climb around and bite people, that's all I need.

If there's a good modding scene, this will be 10/10. But those are hard to find. Every Dev promises mod tools, but a lot of the time were left waiting.
