I know it's rare, but I bought my switch 2 weeks ago fully expecting it to be patched which is why I also bought zelda.
It arrived with 4.1.0 firwmware and the serial number was good. I tried the paperclip test and it worked.

I hacked it immediately, bought a 200gb sd card and now I have 20 games installed on it.
I'll beat botw and sell it. I also got the DLC for free.

Don't they have everything to gain from people downloading classic Fire Emblem games? They're about to release a new one, don't they want people exposed to the brand? What about people downloading Smash Bros 64 who've never played Smash before? They might find the concept interesting enough to go out and buy Ultimate. Would the Mario Maker community be as huge as it is now without pirates/modders spreading around SMB1, 2, 3 and world around for them for decades? It just seems super short sighted.
